Dumbledore's face was filled with a look that had hardly ever crossed his face before; pure surprise and utter shock.
"What?!" Hermione shrieked, disturbing the ever-lasting silence "That can't be possible! She's a Muggleborn, Professor this must be wrong!"
"Miss Granger, may you please get Professor Snape for me? He should be in the potions classroom preparing for his first classes of the year" Hermione just stared at the Headmaster before turning and leaving the office, muttering a shocked 'Yes Sir.'
Dumbledore looked at Ally for a very long time before standing and walking around her, who was still seated with the hat on her head "Well Miss Green, aren't you a unique being to enter this school. We do have many unique students but you…" His sentence trailed off, but he was still staring at Ally and she was starting to feel very uncomfortable and readjusted herself in the stiff seat. She sent him a questioning look, hoping to get more information out of him. "Firstly, you are the only one out of you and your twin sister to gain magical abilities, and now, you are the first Muggleborn to ever be put into Slytherin"
"So?" Ally really could not understand what he was on about "What does that mean?"
"I'm not sure to be perfectly honest Miss Green but I will make sure to look into it more" Before Ally could ask any more questions Hermione burst through the door with an older man following behind her.
He was a very tall man with a pointy nose and black, greasy hair that looked like it really needed a good wash. "Professor Dumbledore," his voice ran shivers down Ally's back and freaked her out completely, "Miss Granger says you wish to see me"
"Ah yes, Severus, you have a new student joining your house this year" Dumbledore said lightly.
"I assure you Albus that I will have many new students entering my house this year" Snape replied coldly.
"I'm sure you do Severus but this student is special, she will be entering into her sixth year you see"
Hermione spoke up before Snape could reply "But sir, nobody in Slytherin will accept her into their house!"
"Wow, thanks" Ally muttered sarcastically.
"No Ally you don't understand. All Slytherin's are Purebloods and think that half-bloods and Muggleborns are beneath them. They will do their best to make your life a living hell considering you're a Muggleborn who just discovered her magic!"
"A Muggleborn sorted into Slytherin?" Professor Snape asked looking at Ally for the first time since he entered the room and raising an eyebrow before turning and looking at the Headmaster, completely ignoring the thing that Hermione had said about his house.
"Yes and since Miss Granger is unfortunately correct by saying her fellow house mates will not accept her we will simply just say she is a transfer student from Beauxbaton Academy. Say Miss Green, do you know how to speak any French?" Dumbledore turned and looked at Ally, his eyes twinkling brightly as he waited for her answer.
Ally shrugged and replied awkwardly, "A little I guess. I took French for two years but I wasn't any good at it to be completely honest."
"Wonderful!" The Headmaster cheered, clapping his hands once "Miss Granger, does anyone asides from yourself know about Miss Green's true ancestry?"
"Yes Professor, Harry, Ron and Ginny do"
Snape sneered looking at Hermione "Of course, if one from the 'Golden Trio' knows then the other must know too! Might as well add the little sister in while we're at it. Well the train should be arriving any minute now Miss Granger, hop along and go tell Mr Potter and Mr Weasley that if they are to say a word about this to anyone they should find themselves expelled from Hogwarts"
Hermione gave Ally a small smile before being basically pushed out of the room by Snape her closed the door the second she was out the door.
"I trust you took take care of this Severus"
"Of course sir, come along Miss Green and welcome to the house of Slytherin."
Ally walked up the grand staircase to the Great Hall with Professor Snape after dropping her trunk off in her new common room, getting into her new uniform and getting her story straight to be greeted by a stream of children aged 11 to 17 with either red, yellow, blue or green ties around their neck.
"Ah, Miss Parkinson, Mr Zabini" Snape said approaching a girl with black hair that reached halfway down her back, beautifully pale skin and cinnamon eyes and a boy with tanned skin, deep brown eyes and dark brown curly locks.
"Hello Professor how was your holidays?" the girl said in a sweet voice and with an even sweeter smile that showed her perfectly white teeth.
"Spectacular Miss Parkinson. This is Miss Green, she has transferred from Beauxbaton and has been sorted into Slytherin. I'm sure you will make her feel very welcomed" Snape walked swiftly away before anyone could answer him.
"Wait till Draco hears about this one, fresh meat is always fun" the dark boy whispered not-so-quietly to the girl besides him who just rolled her eyes. He stretched out his hand towards her, "I'm Blaise Zabini, this is Pansy Parkinson" The boy shook her and stared straight into her eyes, Ally looked away as his gaze made her feel like he could look into her soul or something.
"Hi, I'm Ally-May, or just Ally, I don't mind" Ally said while shaking hands with Pansy.
Pansy stared at her for a few seconds before smiling a wide smile and linking arms with Ally, dragging her into the huge hall "So let me give you an idea about Hogwarts" Pansy sing-songed "Slytherin is by far the best house in this pest infested place, obviously, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff is basically filled with losers with the odd cool one but by far the worse house at this school is Gryffindor" she said in disgust, "It is filled with Mudbloods and blood traitors"
They sat down on a long table with a bunch of others wearing green ties, Pansy on her left and Blaise in front of her on the other side of the table. Pansy pointed over towards the Gryffindor table where Ron, Ginny and Hermione were sitting, Ally wondered where Harry was but thought it was best if she just kept her mouth shut.
Blaise noticed the uncomfortable look on Ally's face so he leaned over and whispered "Welcome to Slytherin Ally-May" She gave him a weak smile before Blaise sat up straight and asked Pansy "Where's Malfoy?"
Pansy looked up at the doors then nodded towards them. All three of them watched as a familiar figure strutted towards them and sat next to Blaise and started talking to him, completely ignoring the girls. Ally looked over at Pansy who was sadly looking at the empty seat beside her where her bag was sitting before looking at Ally brightly and leaning towards the boys to talk.
"Draco, where were you?"
"Pest control" Draco replied before him and Blaise started laughing. The girls looked at each other and shrugged then looked towards the front of the hall where Dumbledore was welcoming all the students, and then an older woman started placing the hat that had just been on her head a few hours earlier and started sorting all the first years into their houses.
Half way through the sorting Blaise elbowed Draco in the ribs sharply and nodded towards the doors. Harry was walking in, still in his normal clothes and covered in blood.
"What the fuck?" The boy with platinum blond hair growled while Pansy whispered in Ally's ear.
"That's Harry bloody Potter a.k.a the boy who won't fucking die" Both girls started giggling and turned towards the boys who were staring blankly at them. Ally caught Draco's eye, after a short while she clicked and mentally hit herself for not realizing sooner that it was the boy that was at Madam Malkins, and by the looking he was giving her, he had just clicked too.
Before either of them could speak Dumbledore announced dinner and food appeared on the table like magic. Well duh! Thought Ally before mentally hitting herself again I'm never going to get use to this whole magic thing.
"What are you doing here?" Draco snarled at Ally the second Dumbledore stopped talking.
"Don't be rude" Blaise said, smacking Draco over the head playfully "She transferred from Beauxbaton and was sorted into Slytherin, she's in our year" Draco just gave Ally the evilest look he could before putting chicken onto his plate.
After they had finished eating Dumbledore made a few announcements, one being that Snape was now the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher which cause all the Slytherin's to cheer loudly, but it gave the other three tables the completely opposite effect.
Pansy and Ally walked to their common room, arm in arm, lingering behind Blaise and Draco. "So, what do you guys do for fun around here?" Ally asked curiously.
"We have parties of course!" The taller girl replied like it was the most obvious answer in the world. Pansy dragged Ally up into their dormitory were their trunks were waiting for them, before Pansy fell back into one of the five beds in the room before sitting up and indicating Ally to sit on the bed besides her.
"On the first day back after every summer holiday all the fifth years, sixth years and seven years have a huge party in the common room. We do also have other parties throughout the year but this party is one of the best!"
Ally could see the excitement growing on the other girls face, "The real question is," Pansy said leaning towards Ally for dramatic effect, "Can you handle your drink?"
