A Narnian Tale

Chapter Five
Aslan took the Pevensie's and Serenity to Cair Paravel, the castle on the sea.
"This will be your home" Aslan said. "We must prepare for the coronation" Serenity and the girls were whisked away from the boys and ushered into a grand room.
"This will be your room, your highness" Mrs. Beaver told Serenity. Serenity marveled at the room. It was exactly like her room in the Silver Millennium, right down to the bed and bed sheets.
"Who did this?" She asked.
"Aslan did, your highness" Serenity smiled. The girls got help getting dressed.
Serenity wore a long shimmery silver gown. Her hair hung in curls down her back and a white regal looking cape flowed behind her. The crescent moon on her forehead shone brilliantly.
Susan wore a beautiful gown similar to Serenity's, but it was green. Her hair was also in curls, but it was pinned back. she wore a light green regal cape.
Lucy wore a pale blue dress. Her hair was also in curls and she wore a red cape.
Soon it was time for the coronation to begin. Serenity was going to be crowning them, so she stood by Aslan. Mr. Tumnus stood next to her hold the pillow with the four children walk up the aisle happily, and stood next to their new thrones.
Serenity stepped forward with the first crown and placed it on Lucy's head.
"To the glistening eastern sea, I give you Queen Lucy the Valiant" Aslan announced. "To the great western woods..." Serenity placed a crown on Edmund's head. King Edmund the Just. To the radiant southern sun..." Susan was crowned. "Queen Susan the Gentle" Serenity took the last crown to Peter and placed it on his head. She smiled at him. And to the clear northern skies, King Peter the Magnificent. Once a king or Queen of Narnia, always a king or queen"
"Long live King Peter! Long live Queen Susan! Long live King Edmund! And long live Queen Lucy!" The crowd cheered. Then it was time to party.
"Why didn't you get crowned?" Lucy asked Serenity. Serenity smiled at her.
"My time to reign is over. I am a Princess for ever and always, but my kingdom is lost. This is a new world and a new era. My place is to advise you and guide you through your time as Queen as well as your brothers and sister" Lucy smiled and they looked out over the balcony to see Aslan walking on the beach in the sunset. Walking away from the castle. Serenity smiled at Lucy.
"We'll see him again" She said.
"When?" Lucy asked, forlorn.
"In time...you mustn't press him, He isn't a tame lion..." Serenity trailed off.
"No, but he's good..." Lucy replied.
Nine months later, Serenity gave birth to two beautiful children, Luna and Artemis. Luna had silver hair like her mother and Artemis had black hair like his birth father.
"They are so adorable" Lucy squealed. Serenity smiled as she looked down at her treasures. It pained her to know that she would not always be with them, now that she was no longer immortal.
Many years passed and the kids grew older. Serenity aged, something she had not experienced, but she aged gracefully, which she was grateful for. Luna became a healer, like her mother and often helped Queen Lucy on the battle field. Artemis was trained personally by King Edmund to become a knight of Narnia. When Artemis and Luna were sixteen years old, Narnia was attacked. Artemis fought well, but was stabbed in the side with a sword. To his astonishment, he pulled the sword out and nothing happened. He didn't have time to process it as a soldier came bearing down on him and he ran the soldier through with his sword. After the battle, in which Narnia was the victor, Artemis went to look for his mother and sister. He found Luna leaning over Serenity, tears in her eyes. Serenity was bleeding heavily from a wound to the chest.
"I can't heal her" Luna sobbed. "I tried"
"Listen to me, my children..." Serenity gasped out. "There are things I have not yet told you. I don't have much time" She grasped each of their hands. "You're true heritage is that of the Prince and Princess of the Moon and Earth in another world that exists apart from Narnia" She paused and gasped, before continuing on. "As such you are immortal and can not be killed by mortal weaponry. I know this is a heavy responsibility to bear, but I..I believe in you" With her last word, she took a final breath and passed from the world.
"No!" Luna's anguish could be heard for miles. Artemis held his sister as she wept. Serenity was buried on the castle grounds and a large funeral was held for her. A week later, there was a rumor that the white stag had been seen in the eastern woods. It was said that any person who caught the white stag would be granted a wish. The Pevensie's set out at once in the hope of catching it and bringing Serenity, their friend and adviser back. Artemis and Luna waited for them to return, but they never did. Patrol after Patrol was sent out to look for them, but everyone came back empty handed. No one knew where the Kings and Queens had gone or why they had left. Many of the Narnians felt abandoned, but Artemis and Luna knew in their hearts that the Kings and Queens would not have left on purpose. Artemis and Luna were crowned regent King and Queen since there were no heirs.
They reigned for years and years, many of the Narnians knew they were immortal and were not phased by their youthful appearance, but other countries often attacked, accusing them of witchcraft.
After 200 years had passed, Narnia was attacked by Telmarines, intent on taking the land for themselves. Even with their power, Luna and Artemis were no match against the Telmarines. Luna was captured and Artemis barely escaped. After discovering that they could not kill Luna, She was locked in a cell where she was tortured daily. Artemis was not able to free her and had to hid in the woods like a bandit for a millennium. But one day, all the would change, because of a young prince who lived in the telmarine castle. His name...Caspian.
