Note from the author: Hey guys! Angelica B. Steve Rogers speaking! So, I have an announcement to make! I was just going about my daily routine like eating, hanging out with my family, eating, washing dishes, and eating when I thought of this amazing idea! I am going to make side stories along with the chapters as a little extra treat because I feel like I am leaving out a lot of characters that I introduced to the story in the beginning, but I left them out eventually (for example: Black Widow and Hawkeye, where did they go?) xD So here is my first side story! Tell me what you think! Leave reviews! I love reviews! (: bye for now!

Side Story 1: The Magical Kiss

Hawkeye was suspicious.

He had been noticing things that were unsettling him about his wife, Black Widow.

Black Widow was notorious for her strength and of course her stealthiness. Black Widow made a name for herself in a bad way in the past which got her onto S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar in a bad way. Nick Fury helped Black Widow, or Natasha Romanov to get her act together and now she is a top agent at S.H.I.E.L.D. At first, all the male agents thought Black Widow was weak because she was a girl. They underestimated her strength. After her first three months at S.H.I.E.L.D., Black Widow had beat up every male agent including Hawkeye, not including Nick Fury, and thus gaining respect from all of them.

Hawkeye still remembered his first encounter of Black Widow.

It wasn't love at first sight. Actually, Hawkeye had been ordered to assassinate Black Widow. Hawkeye at the time was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best assassin and he was ordered to track down Black Widow in the streets of Budapest. It was an adrenaline-pumping chase. Black Widow was agile, quick, and sneaky so she was able to get Hawkeye off her trail a few times before they came to a dead end. Hawkeye cornered Black Widow and was ready to make his move to assassinate her. Black Widow had been using her spy skills for evil deeds and Hawkeye knew he had to take her out even though she was beautiful. Before Hawkeye could make his move, Black Widow elbowed him and the dagger that was in his hand fell to the ground. They fought and eventually Hawkeye got the upper hand and threw Black Widow onto the ground. Hawkeye held her down and made a call to S.H.I.E.L.D. to hurry with reinforcements because it had turned out even the best assassin could not assassinate the infamous Black Widow. Black Widow knew she was at a loss. So, she decided to try one more tactic which could only work for her because she was a woman.

She pulled Hawkeye in and planted a big kiss on his lips.

Hawkeye kissed her back. As they kissed, Black Widow wrapped her arms around Hawkeye and grabbed for the dagger in his pocket, but it wasn't there. Hawkeye pulled away from her, still holding her down with all her strength, and stared directly into her eyes.

"Looking for this?" Hawkeye asked, grinning peevishly, holding up the dagger.

Eventually, help came and everyone forgot that Hawkeye had not fulfilled his orders and gone through with the assassination. Hawkeye was starting to feel glad that he didn't kill her, and Hawkeye knew ever since that day that he would never ever forget that kiss. It was a magical kiss.

Hawkeye got to have that magical kiss with Black Widow again on their wedding day, and several times on their honeymoon.

Now, a year after their wedding day, Natasha had not given Hawkeye one of these magical kisses for quite a long time.

Hawkeye was starting to worry that Natasha didn't want to be with him anymore. She wouldn't kiss him. She was barely talking to him lately as if she was hiding something very important from him. She wouldn't even let him take care of her when she was sick and throwing up. She said she could handle things herself.

Hawkeye also had other suspicions.

Maybe Black Widow was cheating on him. Maybe she felt like she wasn't good enough for him. Maybe she felt that he wasn't good enough for her. These suspicions flew around Hawkeye's head like gnats, and they soon grew more elaborate and more unreasonable like spreading wildfire.

Hawkeye was driving himself insane.

He was sprawled out on the couch in the front room of the two-story house that he and Black Widow live in.

The house was like any other suburban house, nothing special. It wasn't that special looking on the outside because both Hawkeye and Black Widow didn't want to draw too much attention to themselves. But, on the inside, the house was exceptional.

Old newspaper articles of the Avengers good deeds were plastered all over the walls of the rooms. The kitchen was like a kitchen you would find in a restaurant because of its size and all of the spiffy new appliances in it. There was a jacuzzi bath tub in the bathroom and twinkling white Christmas lights were hung up in every room no matter what time of year it was. Last, but not least, they had their own gym that was equipped with shooting ranges for Hawkeye and dummies for Black Widow to practice throwing daggers at.

Hawkeye curled up into a little ball and fell asleep on the couch.

He dreamed of Black Widow. Black Widow packing her bags. Black Widow opening the door. Black Widow leaving and letting the door slam behind her. Black Widow. . . .

Hawkeye woke up. He checked his watch and saw that he had slept for about an hour. The lights were on and he didn't remember turning them on. Then, he sat up. He felt a presence lurking behind him.

Hawkeye held his fist out just before Black Widow could lunge to grab his throat.

"Wow, still stealthy I see. You almost got me that time!" Hawkeye said, admitting that he admired her stealth.

"This is amazing! I still have my stealthy skills even when I'm pregnant!" Black Widow replied.

It took a while for Hawkeye to fully register in his mind what Natasha had just said. When he realized what she had just said, Hawkeye froze in shock.

Natasha gently searched Hawkeye's face for a reaction with her eyes. Then, she smiled at him. She let a giggle escape from her mouth because Hawkeye's face looked so stupidly dumbfounded as if someone had told him that he wasn't really a man. Natasha walked over to Hawkeye and wrapped her arms around him. Then, she gave him one of her magical kisses right on the lips and kissed his shock away.

"You are going to be a father, Hawkeye! Aren't you excited?" Black Widow asked.

Black Widow had expected Hawkeye to say something like 'Of course I'm excited!" or even "No, I'm not ready to be a father!" would have sufficed, but instead Hawkeye said something even better.

"Can I feel her?" Hawkeye said, staring at Black Widow's tummy.

Black Widow nodded.

Hawkeye knelled down in front of Black Widow and reached out his hand. He placed his hand on her tummy. Hawkeye could feel the bump where his and Black Widow's baby was growing. Hawkeye rubbed the bump and kissed her tummy. Then, he felt the baby kick. It was a hard kick. Black Widow made a grunting sound when the baby kicked inside her.

"She is definitely your daughter" Hawkeye said, smiling at Black Widow's baby bump.

"Why do you keep saying she's a girl? He could be a boy. How do you know?" Black Widow asked Hawkeye.

Hawkeye flipped the idea around in his head for a while. Then he said: "I just have a strong feeling that she's going to be a girl. I have an even stronger feeling in my heart that she is going to be a brave and strong girl like her mother."

Black Widow smiled, a genuine smile. Hawkeye and Black Widow hugged for a long time.

"By the way, how long have you known you were pregnant?" Hawkeye asked Black Widow.

"Oh, about four months." Black Widow answered.

"What? How did I not notice that your tummy was getting bigger?" Hawkeye asked, more to himself than to Black Widow.

"You were too wrapped up in work to notice. I'm surprised too. My tummy is pretty big now. If you look at my tummy you can tell right away there is a bump there." Black Widow looked at Hawkeye disapprovingly.

"Well, call me the most unobservant person in the world then," Hawkeye answered.

"Okay then. You are the most unobservant person in the world," Black Widow reiterated.

She cocked up one eyebrow playfully. Then she said: "You are also the most handsome person in the world!"

Then, she gave Hawkeye one last gift. A magical kiss.

Another author note: Hey guys! What do you think the name of the new baby is going to be? Tell me in my private messages what you think! :D I'd love to hear your ideas! It can be boy or girl names; we still don't know for sure if the baby is a boy or a girl! bye for now!
