A/N: Dear readers, tune your radios to LeAnn Rimes' "Can't Fight the Moonlight" for this one. :)

I don't own Dragon Age: Origina. Bioware does.

Leliana couldn't help herself.

She wanted The Warden.

For weeks now, they had been traveling together with the others, overcoming every obstacle in their path, be it darkspawn or Denerim drink.

In that time, her relationship with The Warden had blossomed into a romance that both invigorated and inspired her.

The Warden made her feel like a young, blushing school girl. It wasn't a feeling she was accustomed to, but one she didn't shy away from either.

The way he treated her, she felt like the grandest maiden in all of Val Royeaux.

In all this time together, they had laughed together, cried together and fought together.

They had also spent many a night talking together, sharing the secrets of their lives with each other.

It was an intimacy Leliana had never felt before, not even with Marjolaine.

But the one thing they hadn't done was be with each other...in the most intimate way.

That was something Leliana was determined to change.

Tonight.

Under a lover's sky.
Gonna be with you.
And no one's gonna be around.

While everyone else sat around the campfire, talking over the events of the day's journey or what Oghren smelled like on that particular night, there he stood.

Off toward the side of camp, turned away from the fire's glow, his eyes ever watchful over everything.

Leliana couldn't help but marvel over how noble he looked, how he always looked to her.

Biting her lip in anticipation, she silently crept away from the others, up behind The Warden and slipped her smooth hands over his eyes.

"Guess who?" She playfully cooed.

The Warden chuckled. "Well, these certainly are no Darkspawn hands, so I'm already thankful."

He took the hands in his, spun to face her and planted a warm, gentle kiss on her fingers.

"Evening, m'lady," his baritone voice said.

She smiled widely, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Evening yourelf, mister."

She quickly closed the space between them, slipping her lips into his for a passionate kiss, eyes closing in the bliss of her feelings for him.

"I must be doing something right tonight," The Warden chuckled as they parted.

"More accurately, you've been doing everything right," the bard corrected, looking around to make sure no one was snooping.

"I have something to talk to you about...away from the others," she whispered.

Before The Warden could respond, she was pulling him toward the direction of her tent.

You think that you won't fall.
Well, just until...
'Till the sun goes down.

When they were safely hidden from the rest of camp, Leliana wrapped The Warden's neck up again for another deep kiss, which he eagerly returned.

"So...it has been some time since I left Lothering, hasn't it?" she asked when they parted again.

The Warden nodded, looking lovingly down on her.

"After everything we've been through, it feels almost like a lifetime ago," he replied.

"When I first stepped out of the cloister, I had no idea where my path would lead," Leliana said, never daring to look away from his beautiful eyes.

"I walked where the Maker led me and...he has rewarded me for my faith," she said.

"I found you."

Underneath the starlight
Starlight
There's a magical feeling
So right

"Then I thank the Maker that he brought us together," The Warden answered, planting a quick, light kiss on the tip of her nose.

Leliana's cheeks were in full blush as warmth spread throughout her body at his words.

Maker damn it all, the man knew just the right things to say.

"You don't know how much it means to me to hear you say that," she said.

She wanted to be just attached to him for the rest of her days, but she parted from him to saunter over to the flaps of her tent.

Biting her bottom lip, her fingers began idly playing with the fabric of the flaps.

"But now it's getting late...and I think I might...turn in early," she said, her sparkling eyes swiveling up to meet The Warden's, invitingly.

It'll steal your heart tonight.

The Warden may have grown up in a tower, but he wasn't stupid. He knew exactly what she was implying.

And he had never wanted something more.

"Would you...like some company?" He asked with a hint of hesitation in his voice, unsure of acceptance.

Leliana's knees nearly buckled under the desire she felt for him inside. Instead of a simple 'Yes,' she could only say what she felt.

"I want you, Nicolae."

His staff fell from his hands as he practically rushed forward, took her face in his hands and smashed his lips upon hers, taking them into his right then and there for one of the deepest kisses they had ever shared.

When they parted from that, panting, he gave his husky response.

"I want you too."

You can try to resist.
Try to hide from my kiss.
But you know But you know that you
Can't fight the moonlight

Leliana grabbed a handful of the robes on his chest and pulled him into the tent with her.

Safely nestled within the small structure's darkness, their hands moved quickly all over one another, undoing armor straps and tossing aside gloves and boots.

For Leliana, peeling away every article of his mage robes was throwing away every doubt and every fear she had ever felt, wanting only the one she loved.

For The Warden, every limitation and stipulation that had been thrown on his life was finally cascading away in this one moment.

The Warden's hands moved a little more clumsily, but nonetheless emphatically.

"Leliana...I..." He tried to say.

His bard shut him up with a finger to his lips, before lying down on her back before him, now clad only in her under-tunic, staring up at him with eager longing.

"Come join me," she whispered with a playful smile.

The Warden happily came to his knees leaning over her and taking her lips in his once more. Even with his eyes closed, he navigated his fingers under the hem of her clothes, pulling them over her shoulders and off as she did the same for him.

Deep in the dark
You'll surrender your hert
But you know
But you know that you
Can't fight the moonlight

He opened his eyes and was struck speechless by her flawless body. Even in the darkness of the tent, her pale skin shone in an almost ethereal glow. Everything from her long legs to her ample breasts to her beautiful face.

It was far more than he could handle. He couldn't say a word.

Under his stare, she sheepishly turned away, though the thought of depriving herself of the sight of his chiseled, perfect muscles was, in her mind, a crime against humanity.

He reached out a hand to take her cheek, turning her face back to him. In his smile, she saw no judgment, no scrutiny, only love.

He smiled and kissed her deeply again, slipping his hands around her body and enjoying every smooth, supple inch as he lowered himself over her, prepared to finally offer her everything he had.

No, you can't fight it
It's gonna get to your heart

Alistair had been carrying firewood back toward the others when he saw their bard pull their fearless leader into her tent.

His mouth slightly agape, he shook his head.

"Well, at least somebody's having a good night," he muttered.

"Oi! Bastard child! This fire's not gonna stoke itself!" Oghren hollered.

Alistair shook his head and grumpily marched away.

"Lucky son-of-a-nug," he grumbled.
