So, this was probably my favorite chapter to write. Ever. It's just so cute and fluffy! Sorry, I don't know what possed me there and made me all giggley. :/ oh, and I decided at the end of the chapter, I would answer reviews, so the verse of the day will go up here, speaking of:

Aragorn's POV

After the shock of finding Gandalf, we told him of what the Riders of Rohan had said, and we decided to make our way to Rohan. It was still miles away (at least 45) when we stopped to camp for the night. We made a fire and exchanged stories. While Gandalf retold the story of how he killed the Balrog, Annabeth rested her head on Legolas's shoulder, and fell asleep.

"And where did you find her?" Gandalf asked after he finished his story.

"She was a skilled fighter, we thought she could be of use." I explained.

"And she willingly went with you? Three of whom she had never met?" Gandalf inquired.

"No." And I went on to explain the challenge, and her change of heart.

"I see. What happened to her shoulder?" Gandalf asked.

I told him of the orc attack that had happened earlier that day.

"Ah, you needn't worry for her though, she has indeed had worse then that." Gandalf said, "Now, the rest of you could use some rest, goodnight, I shall keep watch."

Gimli and I lay down, but Legolas, who luckily was already sitting against a tree, leaned his head back, and let Annabeth continue to sleep on his shoulder.

The next morning we quickly packed up and started toward Rohan once again. Nothing was said about Annabeth sleeping on Legolas, or not that they knew about. Gimli, Gandalf, and myself would occasionally snicker whenever we looked at either of them, and we had placed bets on when they would kiss. I guessed a week, Gimli said 2 days, Gandalf said later this evening. Once we were out of Fangorn Forest, Gandalf let out a high whistle and 3 horses appeared. Gimli rode with Legolas on one horse, and Annabeth with me on another.

We rode the rest of the way to Rohan with no orc attacks. It only took an hour or 2. We made our way to the palace, where guards stopped us (no surprise.)

"I'm afraid I can't let you in so heavily armed." One guard told us.

We took off all the weapons we had and gave them to various guards.

"The staff." The guard pointed out to Gandalf.

"Oh, you would not make an old man part from his walking stick?" He replied.

The guard thought for a moment, then ushered us in.

When we alkes in, a man was whispering to the king, and then the doors shut behind us.

"And why should I welcome you, Gandalf storm-crow?" A very sick looking king asked.

"A just question my liege." some pale, black haired man said, "Late is the hour in which this conjurer chooses to appear. Last spell I name him, ill news is an ill guest." He continued.

"Be silent! Keep your forked tongue behind your teeth, you witless worm." Gandalf said and pointed his staff at him.

"His staff?! I told you to take the wizards' staff!" He said to the guards as he quickly backed away. Some of the guards tried to attack Gandalf, but Legolas, Gimli, myself, and even with an injured shoulder, Annabeth managed to help keep the guards away from Gandalf.

"Theodin, son of Thringen, too long have you sat in the shadows."

Gimli took down the 'witless worm' and put a foot on his chest. "I would stay still if I were you. Gimli threatened.

Gandalf held his hand out in front of him, toward Theodin, " I release you from this spell." He said and closed his eyes to concentrate.

A sound that might have been laughter came from the king,

"You come in the company of elves, and men, and dwarves, and even a girl who is nothing you have ever heard of before." Annabeth's eyes widened. "Ah, yes, I know all about you, Annabeth Chase, you are not even fully human, you are no more then one of the dogs that eat my table scraps."

Annabeth stood taller, "I am half god." She said with pride.

"But the offspring of a stallion and a pig is nothing to be proud of." He replied, and she just glared, and he turned his attention back to Gandalf, "You see, you have no power here, Gandalf the Gray."

Gandalf removed the gray cape he had been wearing to reveal his white robes, "I will draw you, Saroman, as poison is drawn from a wound." He thrust out his staff, forcing the king back.

Out of nowhere, a girl pushes past me and tried to get to Theodin, but I pulled her back, "Wait." I said to her.

"If I go," Theodin said, but his voice was different, "Theodin dies."

"You did not kill me, you will not kill him." Gandalf says, his staff still pointed at Theodin.

"Rohan is mine." Theodin rasped out.

"Be gone." Gandalf comanded.

With a yell, Theodin tried to lunge at Gandalf, but Gandalf thrusted his staff forward, forcing the king back into his throne (with magic.)

The king groaned and started to fall over, and that's when the girl escaped my grasp and ran to catch him. Quickly, his appearance changed, making him look healthier, and younger.

"I know your face." He said quietly to the girl. "Eyowin." He said. He looked at us, "Gandalf?"

"Breathe the free air again, my friend." Gandalf said to him.

He stood up, "Dark have been my dreams of late." He said, then looked at his hands.

"You fingers would remember their strength better if they grasped your sword." Gandalf said.

One of the guards brought the king his sword, and the king pulled it out of it's scabbard. The 'witless worm' tried to escape, but Gimli refused to let him, then the king turned toward the man, grabbed him by the neck of his robes, and drug him outside.

Legolas's POV

As everyone followed the king out, I noticed Annabeth did not.

"Annabeth, what did you mean when you said you were half god?" I asked her.

"I wasn't lying, if that's what you're wondering." She said, without looking at me.

"I didn't think that," she looked up at me now, " I just wanted to know why you never told me?"

"You never asked." She said bluntly.

"So, your father or mother?"

"Mother."

"And when you said she was no longer with you, you meant-"

"She just went back to... her, uh, palace." She didn't sound to sure.

We went on to talk about her past for awhile when one of the maids came in,

"I am supposed to show you too your rooms, if you would come with me." She said politely.

Annabeth's POV

First we stopped where I would stay for the night.

"The wardrobe has other clothes for you to change into before the evening meal." The maid said.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I looked at my clothes which were covered in dirt, cuts, and blood (some of it orc blood, some my own.) "Nevermind."

She just smiled, "Someone will be here soon to assist you, should you need it." And her and Legolas walked off. I walked over to the wardrobe to see what was there, but all there was were dresses. Not my thing, but I didn't have a choice, I picked one out, changed the bandages on my shoulder, and with difficulty, managed to change into the dress, leaving my other clothes on the bed. There was a basin of water so I washed the dirt off my face, then heard a knock on the door opened it to find a girl not much older than myself.

"I am here to assist you." She said.

I let her come in. I felt awkward with her just standing there, so I asked for her help with my hair, which she happily obliged. She washed it, combed out all of the tangles, and braided my bangs and tied them with a tiny ribbon behind my head.

"Done, now, we better get going, the feast will start soon." She said.

"Feast?" I asked.

"Yes, thing king is throwing a feast in honor of the ones who freed him."

"Oh." I said

And with that, we walked to the feast. On our way, we saw Gimli and Legolas ahead of us, who by now knew their way around, so the girl left and I caught up with them.

"Hey." I said when I reached them.

"Hello Annabeth." Legolas said.

"Hello las. Why, I can hardly recognize you." Gimli said.

I laughed a little, "Me either."

At the feast, nothing much happened, Legolas and Gimli had a drinking game ( I declined Gimlis' offer to join in) but that was it, Aragorn almost carried Gimli too his room after he passed out (losing the game) but he woke up before it came to that. Legolas walked me to my room later that night, and once or twice I thought I heard someone following us, and Legolas must have heard it to, because he smiled slightly.

"Goodnight Annabeth." He said once we reached my room.

"Night Legolas." I said. We were staring into each others eyes, the noise we heard before forgotten, we were inches apart, and then we both leaned in and our lips connected. It was amazing, that was the only way to describe it. When we broke apart, smiling, Legolas looks toward the corner nearest to my room and says, "I hear you, you may as well come out."

Gimli, Aragorn, and Gandalf step out looking guilty.

"And what were you doing." I asked, still smiling.

"We placed bets on when you two would kiss." Aragorn explained.

"And who won?" Legolas asked.

Gimli and Aragorn each took out a small pouch of coins and tossed them to Gandalf, who caught them and just chuckled.

"Well, goodnight you two." He said, then walked off still chuckling.

Aragorn waved and walked off, and Gimli came and whispered into Legolas's ear, thankfully, he was a horrible whisperer.

"Congratulations laddie." Was all he whispered to him before saying goodnight and walking off, leaving us alone.

"Well, goodnight for real now." I said.

"Yes, sleep well." He said. He kissed me on the cheek then walked toward his room, and I went into mine, washed my old clothes, and dressed into a nightgown, and crawled into bed, smiling the entire time.
