The night had fallen quickly, and soon the moon was high in the sky. However Tino could not sleep. He was wide awake, staring up at the ceiling and just thinking. And during those many hours he thought of things. Things that did not concern Berwald, and things that did not even relate to his situation at all. It felt nice. The quiet seemed to take away his stress, relieve him of all his troubles, and toss him into a state of calm that he never wanted to leave.

"T'no?"

He jumped at the sound of his name, his peaceful moment thrown out the window by a gruff voice. Berwald looked tired. And yet, seeing him like that took away from his deep dark aura and he almost looked… cute. Or that wouldn't be the correct phrase to use. However, Tino could not think of another one. He did not look handsome exactly, with ruffled hair and half-lidded eyes. But he looked… surprisingly…. younger, and less scary for the lack of a better word.

"Yes?" Tino was surprised and slightly happy to not hear himself stutter in Berwald's presence.

"Why 're y' st'll 'wake?" Berwald asked sleepily.

"O-Oh I'm sorry did I do something to wake you?" Darn, the stutter again.

"No. J'st c'ldn't sleep w'll 'n th' b'd. 's n't at 'll l'ke my c've." His words seem to slur even more when he was sleepy like that, and Tino took a few moments to comprehend. But when he pieced the words together it made his heart drop. Berwald had left his home. He had left behind all that was truly precious to him and for what? A little bit of his doubt seemed to fade when he looked at Berwald again. He did not seem as menacing as before. Innocent really.

"Well… we… can sit and talk for a while if you wanted." Tino murmured quietly. He sat up and self consciously smoothed out his hair and shirt.

"R'lly?" Berwald asked, his previously monotone voice held small hints of surprise, and maybe excitement if Tino had heard correctly.

"O-Of course. I would be happy to talk with you for a while. If you would like that is." The knight smiled. "We could talk about anything you wanted." He watched as Berwald… almost shyly… moved to sit down next to him on the makeshift blanket-bed on the floor.

"Th's 's m'ch m're like my h'me." Berwald muttered.

"Oh? You really like this better than the bed?" Tino laughed softly.

Berwald nodded.

"If you want you could sleep here," he offered.

"Only 'f y' st'y w'th me." Berwald looked over at the window. His voice had returned to its flat, emotionless state. Tino frowned unconsciously.

"Of course," he scooted over to give room to the dragon… no… man? He wasn't sure at that point. He didn't really pay attention as Berwald started moving. Tino's face became flushed. Berwald had curled up on the floor, his head resting peacefully on the knight's lap. With his glazed blue eyes closed, hair messy and clothes wrinkled, the dragon looked as small and innocent as Tino thought a child to be. He smiled. Without really thinking, he pressed a small kiss to Berwald's lips and leaned back to finally get some sleep himself.

Okay this is literally the ending. All I'm doing. I promised myself that I would finish it today, but I am not up for writing a really long chapter full of fluff and gay. I still have a ton of new chapters to finish writing on my other account, and I am so damn tired. So enjoy the final chapter of this awful fan fiction.
