A/N: I am so sorry for suddenly disappearing off the face of the earth /again/. Ugh, but rather than hearing me ramble excuses, why don't I just start the chapter. ; 7 ; ))/ It was kinda difficult trying to portray the two Akashi's haha, so yeah… I apologize if there are a lot of OOC moments…Warning: Yandere alert!

The Case of Akashi, Seijurou

Mania:

obsessive love; experience great emotional highs and lows; very possessive and often jealous lovers

Akashi was in no way, shape or form obsessive.

Just…a tad bit interested.

And there were only a handful of things the redhead was interested at.

So he finds this Kuroko Tetsuya quite peculiar.

Every day during practice, if his peripheral vision caught a hint of light blue then his eyes would suddenly glance over, almost like a mannerism; he is unable to help it. Today as well, at the corner of his eyes, a dart of light blue and the response is automatic.

"Akashi-kun..?" Momoi's confusion is apparent in her tone. "You...seem a little distracted."

Akashi's eyes gives the area one last scan before meeting her gaze once more, that charismatic smile present on his lips. "Is that so?" A soft chuckle. "I apologize then."

Momoi simply shakes her head, returning the smile, "Akashi-kun is always working hard, so just be sure to rest up and I'll forgive you," She teases playfully, and only she could get away with such banters since Akashi found the pinkette to be almost motherly in a way, or perhaps like an older sister? Well, either way, he appreciated her concerns as he gently shook his head, "No, I think it's Momoi-san who is too considerate." They share a laugh, Momoi's light and airy, whilst the redheads was more of quiet chuckles before they continue with the topic for the next match.

He still claims it's not an obsession despite how his eyes would dart back again to the court when he heard familiar quiet laughter not too far away.

Akashi considers himself a patient man.

He wasn't getting anywhere. Akashi thinks as he observes him, somewhat torn between being bemused or pitying for despite is, the other continues doing his best in practices. He smiles patiently, knowing that the other would soon reach his limit and stood up from where he sat.

He is able to deal with Kise's constant whining when Kuroko didn't notice him too much, he is able to handle how Aomine brings gravure magazines in the locker room, and dealing with Atsushi's eating habits even during a match.

He catches the other by the shoulder, pushing him slightly from where he was about to collapse down on the floor. "Akashi-kun—"came the breathy gasp, like he hadn't expected the redhead to catch him—nor even notice the fact that he had been pushing himself well over his limits.

"I realize that you're doing your best to catch up to the others, but pushing yourself will only lead to these sorts of things," He states calmly, offering a kind smile to the bluenette. "You'll only get in the way then, right? Rest is important too." And that was enough to placate any retorts from the rather stubborn male. He nodded submissively and allowed himself to be sat on the bench.

Akashi is a patient man, but he does not like to share.

So when Daiki approached, concerned over Kuroko—no, Tetsuya's wellbeing, he tells himself that it was simply 'borrowing', it was only natural to be interested in someone like Tetsuya anyways. Either way, Tetsuya would still return to his side. So he allows the interactions, smiling patiently as always.

Akashi recalls being protective.

He had stated that if it weren't for his misdirection, that he wouldn't even bother to think of putting Kuroko on the team, in a way, it motivated the other to practice till his knees buckled from the weariness but in reality,Seijurou simply didn't want anyone to notice him. This precious gem. And he had this semblance of bitterness towards Daiki, who had gotten to the bluenette before he could.

It was all calculated actually, Seijurou knew that Tetsuya practiced in the fourth gym and was this so-called 'ghost' everyone claimed him to be, and that it was merely a matter of time and preparation before they officially met; Only for it to backfired when he found Daiki, an arm casually slung around the bluenette's frail shoulders as he introduced him.

They had been practicing for months.

Months.

Alone.

And Daiki didn't even bother telling him all this till now?

He feigned surprise of course and got the smaller male to come with him privately for a little chat.

He had done well, he thinks, with this, Tetsuya would be bound to him, through basketball, and with that, he'd always be under Seijurou's watchful eye and be protected. Like all gems should be. Lest someone steals them.

He thinks misdirection is rather convenient. Especially for someone like Tetsuya, for Seijurou didn't want him to be seen both in and out of court, for reasons only known to him; so he avoids teaching him how to shoot and simply how to pass. Tetsuya didn't mind anyways, as long as it helped the team win, and if he could remain in the court with Daiki. Daiki, Daiki, it was always that Daiki-but Akashi was a patient man. He lets others borrow and soon it would be his turn to play.

Imagine Akashi's surprise when Tetsuya, who loved basketball more than anyone he knew -besides Aomine –but even that was questionable now due to how he constantly skipped practice—handed in his resignation letter.

His Tetsuya of all people.

The one he tried so hard to keep to himself…

Leaving…?

That was ludicrous. Call it what you will.

But you simply did not just leave, Akashi Seijurou.

Not when he had taken you under his wing, taught you all you know…

No. You just, didn't.

No one defied him. No one has ever defied him.

And yet, the retreating back was so realistic but at the same time surreal that Akashi simply chuckled to himself. It was fine. Just a minor setback. A miscalculation. Tetsuya had always been a stubborn child anyway. He would soon realize his mistake and come back. He'd find out soon enough that no one dared to leave Akashi…no...Escaping was impossible from the start.

As the doors swung shut, Akashi eyed the paper in his hand before letting it fall to the floor.

Tetsuya didn't come back.

Seijurou has learned from Ryouta and Momoi that he has gone to a no-name school. And yet again, Tetsuya never fails to surprise him. Never failing in keeping him amused.

'When will you stop this childish game, Tetsuya…?'

A soft clack of a shogi piece on a board.

When will you see past your faults and come back. Akashi was lenient enough to forgive him if he admitted his mistakes and apologized.

Tetsuya was his, and Akashi didn't plan on letting him go anytime soon.

Yes, and so, the waiting game continued.

Seijurou has now learned that Tetsuya was fitting right in Seirin and even about that new light of his, that Kagami, Taiga.

Silly Tetsuya…this charade has gone on long enough, when will you take responsibility for your actions? It's no good to keep Seijurou waiting after all.

Meeting each other again is inevitable. Not when they had taken that oath.

Tetsuya. Tetsuya. Tetsuya…

How many times has that name rung through his head? This was no good… the wait is taking too long…has Tetsuya perhaps, really...left..? Another miscalculation of his…?

. . . .

No. He was Akashi, he was always right. Being wrong meant losing. Losing was equal to death.

Victory was prominent, not anymore an expectance. It just simply is.

Akashi wonders if Tetsuya is being given proper nutrition, the right amount of sleep. Did his teammates even take care of him? Surely not as well as Seijurou… Why can't Tetsuya realize this..?

Akashi was getting frustrated with these thoughts that lead to nowhere…When it came to him.

That's it—!

He felt like laughing at this epiphany, why hadn't he realized it sooner-Tetsuya had always wanted that, right?

He just had to make Tetsuya realize how he was still important to the team despite separating…

To him…

And so, Akashi had decided to take a trip to Tokyo to see how the Phantom sixth man was faring.

He would observe first before doing anything drastic or intervene. Although it takes a while for him to see the bluenette, he finds him eventually-with a taller, gruff-looking redhead, and Akashi is immediately reminded of himself. Hair color-wise anyways. He'd like to think he had more finesse than that gorilla.

If you just wanted to be with me so bad Tetsuya, then you should have just asked. There was no need to choose a moronic-looking barbarian over someone like him.

Though the resemblance to Daiki was uncanny, Akashi made sure to overlook it.

Instead, he follows Tetsuya home, putting the location to memory before retreating.

That night, Kuroko received approximately 37 text messages from Akashi telling him to join Rakuzan with him. The bluenette didn't read it all and pressed delete. He looks at the calendar, wondering if this was some sort of prank from Kise-kun though. Sighing when it didn't make any sense, he simply goes back to sleep, ignoring his phone as he put it in silent mode when it began to ring once more.

The once rare text message a month abruptly changed to 40 a day. And by the end of the week he would have gotten over 490+ unread text messages-most of it from Akashi. By the occasional chance he opened his email, he'd pale a little when he realizes that it has been flooded in there as well. He had about 115 unread emails. After practice when he checks his phone, there would be over 28 missed calls. His mailbox would be full of fliers, all to join Rakuzan High.

They were all placed in the trash.

It was weird of Akashi-kun to act so

Could it be a stalker pretending to be his ex-captain then.!?

It had to be…

Kuroko realized he was rationalizing, but better that than facing the truth, right..?

Tetsuya was not replying, in any way that Akashi was beginning to think that he was not getting through to him…

Exhaling softly, he casts his heterochromatic gaze at the cream-colored ceiling.

"I am merely looking at what's best for you, Tetsuya; so hurry up and realize this…"

Still, months passed and soon Interhigh would begin in a week.

Akashi didn't give up.

Surprisingly, the texts, calls and emails stopped altogether, to which Kuroko got a bad feeling deep in his gut…like something foreboding perhaps..?

Yet he still needed to focus for the Interhigh, he would wonder if it really was just a stalker or someone's odd way of a prank. Yeah, and to confirm this, he decided to call his former captain.

It was already late, he took note as he walked the usual route home, so the redhead must be home by now…

It rang three times before Tetsuya closed his phone shut. He heard it. The ring was here. Nearby.

Now it could just be a misunderstanding. Someone who had gotten a call at the same time.

Taking deep breaths, the usual calm silence of the night had turned eerie; it was getting difficult to breathe. All of a sudden he had gotten a chill down his spine, clammy hands gripping the phone tightly as he tried again, He listened closely this time, shoulders tense, like a prey being hunted by its predator.

"Hello, Tetsuya."

No one had answered; the velvet smooth voice that was just a hair's breath away came from behind him. It had Tetsuya's usual nonchalant façade crack by a margin, he felt a gasp escape him as he dropped his phone.

He thinks he recalled seeing a glowing yellow eye, and a smirk.

"Isn't it great that we are able to meet like this?"

Followed by familiar, soft chuckles.

Kuroko woke up with no recollection of what happened that night except for the goose bumps on his skin and feeling oddly paranoid whenever walking home alone.

A…dream…?

A/N: Ahh, well it's kinda short..? Gomen djskf it was confusing in a way wasn't it? But ahh, well basically, whenever he feels in doubt, he is referred to as Akashi, and when he's feeling rather possessive or annoyed, He refers to himself as Seijurou, however, Akashi started out as calling them by their last names, Seijurou calls them by their first but somewhere along the way Akashi begins referring to them in first person as well. The end was pretty creepy too haha, again sorry there wasn't much interaction between the two…hnngh and thank you so much for being patient with me.

Hehe I'd like to think this is the reason why he tried to stab Taiga in the face with the scissors, like 'I knew you would dodge it'-my ass—we all know you're a yandere deep down Akashi-kun. :''D

The next one should be the last~ try to guess who it is~

Again, thanks for reading~ R & R pureasu~ e u e
