Chapter Ten

Pinkie Pie

(AN: OMIGOSHOMIGOSHOHMIGOSH! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOU HELPFUL RHYMES! I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU DID ALL THAT! *cries from joy* THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now I have the next book and the third book. But I must warn you- if I have not read Allegiant by the time I finish book #2 I will postpone it. NOT CANCEL. But I should be done with it by then. Now as a treat for all of you- PINKIE PIE!)

Amity is the best place EVER.

I do kind of miss my family, but it's not like I'll never see them again. We deliver food and stuff, and my Dad's part of the government, so I'll see him if I decide to watch the Choosing Days, which I will, because they look FUN. And Amity is so much more fun than boring, gray Abnegation (no offence, Abnegation). They never let me have proper parties, and now Amity throws parties EVERY. DAY. I will never regret choosing Abnegation. NEVER.

Well, okay. I do miss my family and all my friends spread all over the city. But I have a friend in the same Faction now, which I never had in Abnegation. And Sugar and Sprinkles introduced me to chocolate. I will never eat peas again.

This morning, when I wake up, Rarity has shoved a couch against her door to keep me from waking her again, so I go over to Sugar and Sprinkles and we play clapping games until it is time to go. When we get there, I sit next to Rarity.

The other Amity-Unicorns giggle at me. Rarity glances around then gently whispers, "Pinkie Pie, dear, you have to sit by the Earth Ponies."

Oh yeah! Well, I give Rarity a good-bye hug. She pushes me to the Earth Ponies with her magic, but she's smiling at me anyway.

Sugar, Sprinkles and I start doing a three-way version of their clapping game. We get to Always be together when Apple Cider shows up.

"Well, Earth Ponies!" she grins. "Today we're going to learn how to cook! Won't that be fun?"

We all cheer, though I feel a little upset. I was never great at cooking at home.

"What do you want to start with?" Apple Cider asks.

Ponies throw out suggestions, but one pony who looks like she might be another apple says, "Let's start with eggs!"

"Good idea, Apple Leaves!" Apple Cider says. She pulls out an egg and demonstrates how to crack it just right, and how to cook it. I should probably be paying attention, but all I'm thinking about is how this would be a lot easier for a unicorn.

"Pinkie Pie, do you want to try?"

I jump up. "YES YES YES! What am I doing again?"

"Cracking the egg." Apple Cider instructs. She gives me one, and I think I'm supposed to hold out my hooves to hold it between them, but it starts to slip. If I crack it by accident, people might feel bad, so I throw it in the air and kick it over at the prepared pan. It cracks when it hits the pan's bottom.

The other earth ponies cheer, and Sugar and Sprinkles start playing their clapping game again.

"Nice job, Pinkie." Apple Cider congratulates. "But what'll you do about the shell?"

"Oopsies."

When we get out of our last class– farming– the twins and I regroup with Rarity by the flower garden.

"You should've been hanging with us, Rarity!" Sugar says to the unicorn.

"Silly, she's a unicorn, she can't until after half-way passes." Sprinkles grins.

"Oh, yeah." Sugar looks sad, but perks up again in a minute. "You totally should have seen Pinkie during the bucking!"

I grin at them. "By the way, I cannot buck a tree, though I found out that if Sprinkles sneaks up behind me and screams, I can jump so high I can knock apples off of said tree."

We laugh, and Rarity uses magic to cover the dirt with grass so she can lay down without getting her dress dirty. "Sounds like you had lots of fun."

"Of course we did!" I cheer. "We're in Amity!"

"We're the happiest faction ever!" Sugar giggles.

We do the three-way clapping game, but then I stop. "Guys, we need to find a way to incorporate Rarity into this!"

"Oh, no, you don't have to–" Rarity begins, but we pull her in while Sugar starts instructing.

However, before we can get past Clap together, we hear some sort of movement. We turn around, and see some sort of carriage drive in.

"Let's go!" Sprinkles grins and jumps after it.

"Come on, Rarity!" I call as the twins and I run after it.

"Oh dear!" Rarity says every time her dress almost touches the dirt. She eventually decides on cleaning it when we stop and runs after us.

Once we arrive at the carriage, Rarity cleans off her dress and we look around. We're behind some bushes, so nobody can see us, but we can see through the branches what's going on. There are three ponies who look like Erudites, and they're talking to two Amities.

"That's Hazel Harvest and Majesty." Sugar whispers. "Up in the front. And… hey, Sprinkles, that's our parents!"

Sprinkles peeks over her head. "They said they couldn't leave Firelock alone. What are they doing here?"

"I want to see!" I mutter, and jump on top of Sprinkles. Their mother has their coat, but has a dark red mane streaked with pink, and I can see a pink diamond cutie mark along with her yellow shirt. Their father has a brown mane and a gray pelt, as well as yellow pants and a red shirt. I can't see his cutie mark, and I remind myself to ask Sprinkles and Sugar later.

"Who's Firelock?" I ask.

"Our little sister." Sugar giggles. "She's so tiny and adorable!"

"She's nine." Sprinkles continues. "She's starting to show a liking for Erudite, though."

"Shh!" Rarity whispers. "What are they saying?"

We listen closely.

"We can't talk out here." Majesty mutters. "We could be overheard. You know the other Amities."

"They'll run up to say hello and might… overhear something." Sugar's father whispers.

"We'll discuss this tonight, in the old barn." one of the Erudites says. "And be quiet about it. We'll wait there, and you better show up at 11:00. Okay?"

They nod, and we look at each other.

There is no way we're not eavesdropping.

(AN: Sugar and Sprinkles' parents are OCs. Firelock is not.)
