So, first of all, I am incredibly sorry that I haven't updated in ages. I have no excuses, live just got in the way.. I don't have to work for two weeks, so I hope I'll have time to update more often. On with the story! Also, is there somebody out there who wants to be my beta?

When they arrived at Castle's house, Kate was overwhelmed. She knew he was loaded, but this place was simply amazing! The house was very big, but it was super cozy at the same time.. There was a lot of open space, a nic big couch, an enormous tv, .. After Alexis showed her around, they collapsed on the couch. While the litlle girl was chatting excitedly about her holiday, Rick was making snacks to munch on during the movie.

'So, Alexis' Kate asked 'Which movie do you wanna see?'

The little girl frowned. 'Um, I don't really know Kate.. What do you wanna watch?'

While she said it, the girl tried to look so grown up. She was trying very hard to look cool, but she was six, for crying out loud! It took Kate by surprise, and she decided to relieve the kid a bit.

'Well, sweetie, what is your opinion on Disney movies? 'Cause it's been a while since I saw one, but I kind of miss them. What do you say?'

The monniker just flew out, without her permission. Ah well, Alexis didn't seem to mind. Even while Kate was saying the words, she saw the changes in Alexis' face. The frown deepened, before it dissapeared altogheter. A huge smile formed upon her cute face, and she beamed up at Kate.

'Really? I mean, are your sure? Because we can watch something you like if you want…'

'Sweetie, don't be ridiculous! I would love to watch one! Do you Cinderella? It's been ages since I watched that one, and it' my favourite!'

'Yes! That's my favourite as well! Daaad! We are going to watch Cinderella! Come on, hurry up!'

Kate sighed in relief. This was actually the first time since they entered the house that Alexis actually acted like a six year old. She looked up to see Rick coming around the corner, loaded with ice cream, chips, m&ms,…

'Rick! You brought an entire candy shop with you!'

Rick smiled. Although they only knew Kate for about two hours, he was so glad they met. He heard the entire conversation she had with Alexis – yes, he had been eaves dropping the entire time – and his heart had melted when Kate talked about the Disney movies. What he liked even more though, was that she got his kid to actually watch those movies. Being famous didn't really help in the relationship departement: every woman he met, either ignored Alexis, or tried to be her best – fake – friend so they could get in his pants. Kate actually seemed interested in Alexis, and talked to her like she was an adult, something Rick also did. Alexis always tried to act cool and like a grown up, so he was relieved to see the six year old emerge.

'Rick, everything allright? Care to join us?

Kate gave him a beaming smile. Oh my, she was beautiful! While he was thinking about Alexis and Kate, he had been staring at the girls the entire time. Kate dind't seem to mind though, judging by that smile. He gave smiled at both the girls.

'Yes, off course I will. Take some snacks, and let's get this movies started, shall we?'

When he turned around, he saw that kate and Alexis were already cuddled together. Since Kate sat in the middle, he had to sit next to her. He actually dind't mind one bit.

'Everybody good?'

Kate and Alexis nodded, which caused Rick to push play. The two girls were talking through the entire movie, commenting on everything. In stead of watching the movie, Rick watched them. Their conversation went effortleslyy, and they seemed to talk about everything! It had been a while since he had seen Alexis talk to a stranger like this. Somewhere in the middle, the little girl became really quiet. When Rick noticed that neither of them were talking anymore, he glanced sideways. Both Kate and Alexis had fallen asleep; Alexis' head was in Kate's lap, and Kate was leaning against the back of the coach. Since he coulnd't move, he kept watching the movie, and about 5 minutes later, Kate's head found its way to his schoulder. Sme smelled wonderfull, like cherries, and she was encredibly warm. He started to feel sleepy himself, and before he knew it, he was fast asleep.

Kate startled awake. She felt something heavy in her lap, and somehow, het pillow was moving. And warm. She looked around carefully, and found that she was sleeping on Rick's shoulder. Damn! He was hot, and warm, and encridebly soft. She didn't really wanna leave. She glanced at her lap. Alexis was lying on the couch, with her head nested between her tighs. Kate sighed, she couldn't stay here. The little girl needed to sleep, and in a bed, 'cause this wans't comfortable for her. She would have pain in the morning.

'Rick? Riiick?' she wispered. Nothing. Apparently the men slept like the dead. She tried again. No response. Damn. She had to get him awake, though, so she started running her hand up and down his arm. He started stirring, so she kept doing it.

'Rick? Can you here me? We've got to wake up, put Alexis to sleep.'

'Mmmmm, no stay in bed, 's cosy in here' he mumbled.

And to Kate's surprise, he wrapped her up in his arms and pulled her towards him. Wow. It felt good. Really good, actually! This man was a gold-meddal hugger. And although she really wanted to stay there (that man was hot!), she dind't know him. it would be unfair to him, and to his beautiful little girl.

'Rick? Seriously, we need to get up!' she punched him a bit, in order to truly wake him.

Rick startled awake.

'Oh, Kate? Sorry, I must have fallen aspleep or something…'

While he said the words, he saw Alexis. Last night was coming back to him, the way Kate fell asleep on him, and how she was laying in his arms right now. It felt amazin! But he really should put Alexis to sleep, so he decided he would do that first.

'Im just gonna put her to bed, I'll be right back!'

Shile Rick took his daughter upstairs, Kate tought about what happened. Or actually, what didn't happen. They only fell asleep, and talked, but Kate instantly felt better that she had for a while. And although Rick was hot, the thing she liked most about him was his smile, and the way he treated Alexis. She heard his footsteps coming down the stairs.

'Hey, I'm sorry about that, whe usually don't have guests at movie night, so I dind't actually think about putting her to bed in time.'

'That's allright, Rick. I don't mind at all. I actually had a really good sleepn, which has been a while. So I should actually thank you.' She smiled. She normally didn't really talk about herself, but Rick made it so very easy!

'Glad to be of service, then!' he winked.

'So, I should go home now, it's late enough as it.' Although she dind't really want to go, she knew she had to leave at one point.

'Kate? I know this is very forward of me, but maybe you can stay and talk for a bit? You can sleep here if you'd like, whe have lots of extra bedrooms, so…'

Kate didn't really know what to say. Okay, she dind't necessarily want to go back to the beach house, but she only knew the guy for a few hours. He is kinda famous, though, so he wouldn't try anything… while Kate was thinking, Rick was watching her. God, he thought, she really is very beautiful! That smile… but althought she was very, very, very gorgeous, he liked the way she handled Alexis even more.

'Look, Kate, you don't have to if you don't want.. I haven't talked to another grown up in a while, and although I love Alexis, it is nice to actually talk to one.. But hey, if you don't want to, please don't feel obligated!'

That did the trick. Kate melted when he said those words. 'Well, Rick, I don't have any pajamas with me, so I would have to borros something, if that's allright?.

Rick beamed. 'Yeah, sure, off course!' He took of to his bedroom and fetched her a shirt.

'Bathroom is a upstairs, third room on the right.' With that, Kate left.

Ten minutes later, Kate emerged from the bathroom. Rick had put on pajamas as well, and now they were both seated on the couch.

'Soo, Kate, how come you are here by yourself?'

So, that's it for today. I will maybe write again tonight, or tomorrow. Once again, I'm very sorry that it took me this long to update! Reviews are always welcome!
