Kon rubbed his hands over and over each other nervously, but he was still in a good mood. He wasn't the best at planning, but it's not like he could ask any of his friends for advice in this situation, so he'd have to trust his own intuition with this one. He was sitting on the couch listening to Corey and Kin laugh at some Wetube videos on the laptop, and debating if flirting back at Trina was a good idea, or even a possible one. He held his gut, gulping nervously.
"I told you those chips were stale." Laney mused from behind her magazine. Kon looked up to her in confusion before rolling out a laugh at her comment.
"Oh, uh, yeah—totally! Grumble-grumble, haha." Kon smacked his stomach a couple times before looking back down at the floor, then up to Trina's balcony. He wondered why it was possible for pretty girls to have the same side effects as expired food.
Trina shot away from her desk when she heard Kon trying to excuse himself to the bathroom—he was laughing nervously, which she'd grown to know meant he was lying through his teeth. She squealed before taking off out of her room and into the house. She couldn't help feeling giddy—not for Kon, obviously—but at seeing him again for the first time since she kissed him; he was bound to be a shaky mess! Trina laughed, quickly stepping down the stairs. She stopped short, seeing Kon standing there waiting for her already. She was a little surprised, but let it pass, smirking at him as she stepped down the last few steps.
"Well, hello and whatnot." She smiled more, stepping closer to him. Kon looked at her with a small, timid smile on his face.
"Hey." He scratched the side of his face, looking away shyly. Trina dropped her expression for a moment, confused about his unusual softness. He was usually more jumpy than shy, but she'd accept awkwardly quiet, as long as she could still rile him up. Kon looked up at her again, still smiling, but with his cheeks tinted rosy. "Uh.. yesterday was—um.. really awesome." Trina smiled again.
"Yeah I bet, what with your lameness it was probably like, your first kiss ever or whatever." She curled her upper lip in a mean, teasing smile. Kon looked at her, a little surprised, before smiling awkwardly again and looking away, rubbing his head. Trina's face fell again as she watched him, unaccustomed to this lighter atmosphere around them. She stared at him for a while longer before gasping into her hands. "—that so totally was your first kiss! Wasn't it!?" Kon gave her a dopey smile and rubbed his boot into the carpet.
"Y.. yeah." He scratched the back of his head. "It's crazy, I always wanted you to be my first ki—"
"NO!" Trina pressed against him and clamped his mouth shut with one of her hands. "That totally definitelydoes not count as like—a romantic first kiss or whatever for you!" She glared at him from behind her hand, Kon staring down at her with wide eyes.
"Why not?" His voice was muffled under her manicured hand.
"Why not!? Cause like, I'm not here to be romanticated by your lame.. stupid.. WHATEVER!" Kon could tell she was getting flustered and angry, especially from how hard she was pushing on his mouth. He nervously took her wrist and pulled her hand from his lips, sending her eyes wild from him disobeying her. He spoke before she could start yelling again, still gripping her wrist.
"I don't get why you're so mad Trina? I thought you liked being like.. my fantasy or wh—" She threw both of her hands over his mouth this time.
"NO! No—NO!—STOP SAYING WORDS! You don't know anything!" Trina heaved her breath out angrily, gripping onto his face. Kon decided it'd be better to stay quiet this time, and looked to her expectantly as if waiting for an answer. She ground her teeth before grabbing his lips, with just one hand now, and pulling him down to her. "It's totally definitely not the same if you're the one having a good time! You should be.. in agony or whatever!" She squinted at him, and released his lips. Kon wiggled a pained frown across his face and rubbed his lips.
"Why?" He asked, before immediately regretting doing so as he watched Trina's eyes go red. "—I mean, like, uh, how come like.. uh.. if I'm thinking about how great you are—that it's ever a bad thing?" Kon offered, hiding behind one of his legs he'd lifted for protection. Trina cocked her head to the side, staring at him before blinking a few times. She looked away in thought, and Kon let out a silent phew as he set his leg down.
"I guess adoring me isn't ever bad—but you better not be getting the wrong idea here or somejunk." She pointed at him warningly. Kon closed his eyes gave her a big smile, shrugging with his hands up.
"Nah, I know you don't uh.. like me." He peeked at her and was greeted by a smile.
"Good." Trina grinned more before pushing him up against the wall. She soaked in the satisfaction of watching his cheeks tint pink again as he stared at her in embarrassed confusion. She rocked from side to side, enjoying the nervousness in his eyes.
"—but, um, I do gotta ask—if you don't like me, why would you kiss me?" Kon murmured, squirming against the wall a little. Trina nodded her head to one side, looking up at him, debating if this was a baited question or not.
"Because, I wanted to. Simple as that." She smirked, settling her hands closer to the center of his chest. Kon swallowed, looking away from her; all he could manage was an 'oh'. Trina laughed at him, tossing her hair over her shoulder and stepping back from him. "You don't understand girls at all, do you?" Kon looked up at her with very uncertain eyes.
"Uh.. I guess not." He managed. She laughed again.
"Oh Kon, you're like so pathetic." Trina turned and headed for the kitchen, leaving Kon to his usual gathering of thoughts—and in that instant he remembered his entire plan. He shivered a moment with nervousness as he watched her go, before dropping his head in shame; he couldn't do it.
Maybe tomorrow.
It had been exactly five days since Kon had decided on his grand master plan, and yet here he sat at his drums, beating away on the bass petal and still having not initiated it at all. He sighed, as he crashed a drumstick down on the cymbal on his right; he couldn't help it if Trina was scary as all heck. Every time his brain stopped turning into jelly and connected two thought-strings again, he was too flustered to do anything to her. And, even though he was ashamed to admit it, he was a little scared pushing back would make her stop, and he didn't really want it to. Kon smacked the cymbal to his left with another sigh, as his other band mates held their last notes until they faded naturally. He was going to have to try harder.
"Dudes, that was awesome!" Corey yelled, throwing his hands up in the air. "Who's up for some Belchy's!?" The gang cheered in agreement, setting down their respective instruments and hoping off stage. Corey bragged about how good the lyrics sounded this time as he threw open the garage door. The group headed out onto the driveway, just as Trina's pink car violently turned and veered into the driveway, stopping harshly on her side of the garage. The band had braced themselves for some kind of impact, but as usual, everyone was fine. Corey threw his arm out towards Pinktastic with a booing bah! and continued to the sidewalk, Kin and Laney right behind him. Kon, on the other hand, stayed in the driveway, cursing the rotten timing. He turned to his friends, who were heading down the sidewalk, and then back to Trina, who was staring at the bunch in shock, before stomping her foot in anger at the poor timing as well.
"Uh—" Kon rubbed the back of his head, looking to his band again. "—Guys? I'm gunna go the bathroom real fast—I'll catch up with ya!" The group turned to him, before waving him off with some smiles and a 'don't take too long'. Kon could hear Trina squeal quietly before running into the house and slamming the door. He sighed; this was going to be murder to do. Kon picked up his legs, which felt like lead weights, one after the other, trying desperately to get to the house before he died of nervousness. As he approach the door he whined in his head how this was a terrible idea—he'd never even flirted with a girl that actually liked him before, how was he going pull this off? He grabbed the bathroom doorknob and turned it, slowly opening it and peering inside; no one. Kon raised a brow and took a step into the house, but didn't see Trina yet. He swallowed—she was waiting for him in the hall, he could feel it. He stepped out into the hall and was immediately grabbed by his shoulders and spun around, before being slammed against the wall beside the door.
"All alone." Trina purred, smiling up at him, hands gripping his shoulders. Kon's face heated up immediately, and only got hotter when she slid a hand onto his neck, petting it with her claws. "Hehehe—you make so much time for me." She giggled, settling her hands on his chest. Kon had barely started to get his breath back, but he was still cheering himself on in his head to push the envelope with her. He took a deep breath and gulped, forcing himself to act before he could talk himself out of it again. Kon wrapped his arms around her back, holding her against him. He thought back to all the cheesy romance movies he watched with his mom as a kid and looked down to her.
"Just for you." He bit the side of his tongue to keep his jaw from shaking. Kon didn't like to brag—unless it was about the band—but he thought his voice sounded deep and smooth; very romantic. Trina's eyes were wide, and finally, it was her turn to be staring at him in shocked embarrassment. He felt a little bit of pride for the few seconds she stared at him, unsure what to say, before she burst into a fit.
"What are you doing!?" She shrieked, pushing away from him with her cheeks burning red. Kon let her go when she pushed away, tilting his head to the side in mock sad confusion. "Don't GIMME that look, you moron! I told you not to get the wrong idea or whatever!" Trina screamed at him, eyes tingeing as red as her cheeks. Kon frowned honestly at that.
"Wrong idea?—Trina I'm not trying to—"
"LIAR!" She squeezed her eyes shut tight, shaking her fists at her sides. Kon slumped his shoulders, before reaching out and taking her fists gently.
"Trina I mean that—all this stuff I do to see you.. I'd only do it for you.." He lowered his head a little to try and reach eye-level with her. Trina opened her eyes, only to reveal she was heated enough to have tears welled up in them, though her irises weren't unnaturally red anymore. She rolled one of her shoulders up, looking away from him and sniffing a little to calm herself down. Trina couldn't keep herself from loving being the special-circumstance to people, especially from a kid that should hate her. Though, she decided to keep up her victim act a little longer.
"Why would you and junk? After all the stuff I've done to you and your dumb boy band? Do you like, like it or something?" She wiggled her shoulders as she watched his eyes go wide at the last question. Kon coughed, looking around awkwardly as his cheeks hued pink again.
"Well—uh, I mean.. I don't know.." He drug his foot on the carpet. "I like.. you. I like being.. close to you.. even if you hate me and stuff." He gave her hands a squeeze and looked up at her, surprised by the glazed over look in her eyes—he blamed the tears. She stepped closer to him, pushing their noses together.
"Like this?" She smiled at little.
"Um.. Yeah." Kon fidgeted, watching her hands slip out of his and slide up his arms, resting at the end of his forearms. Trina giggled, regaining a little of her mischievousness.
"You want to kiss me, don't you?" She whispered pointblank. Kon looked up to her, eyes wide again. His lips wibbled in embarrassment, but he nodded. She giggled again. "Then why don't you?"
"Am.. am I allowed to do that?" He looked to her for approval, and Trina felt a familiar wave of power rush to her head. She smiled more, breathing out slowly.
"I suppose.. like, just this once." She batted her eyelashes at him. Kon felt his stomach ball up again, and he gulped to steady himself. He hadn't thought about having to kiss her today—he'd never initiated a kiss with anyone. He took in a deep breath and remembered the romance movies again, tilting his head to the side. Kon held the end of her forearms and pulled her in closer, making her slide her hands up onto his biceps. He closed his eyes and leaned his head down to her, and finally, set a kiss onto her lips. He could feel goose bumps run up along his arms, stopping short of his shoulders. The next thing her felt was Trina's fingers, as if following the trail his goose bumps led, sliding up the sides of his arms, ending with her wrapping her arms around his neck, pushing the kiss deeper. Kon hummed against her mouth, moving his arms down to her back as she moved and pulling her against him tighter. He furrowed his brow at the soft noises she made into the kiss, willing himself to not to be the first to pull away. After a few more seconds, Trina parted from him with a sharp breath, and he released her gently back to a steady standing position. She seemed a little entranced, but not enough to stay any longer than she had. She stepped back towards the stairs, almost shyly, watching him, before turning and quickly, but quietly, stepping upstairs and to her room.
Kon held his cheek in his hand, dragging it down a little in disbelief. He breathed out through his nose and smiled, placing a hand over his bandana before smiling wider and laughing. He reached back for the doorknob clumsily before opening it and falling out in a daze into the garage. Kon felt like he could feel her stare behind him from her balcony, but he decided to not fluster her anymore—if he could honestly now do that—and headed out of the garage and down to Belchy's. He hoped the walk would wipe the goofy smile off his face.
"You're in a really good mood, bro." Kin offered from the desktop, rapidly clicking in tune to his MMORPG. Kon giggled from the bottom bunk, which was now his since his last growth spurt—their mom worried the bed might break and squash Kin if Kon kept sleeping up top.
"Yeah." He giggled again, squeezing his pillow. Kin raised an eyebrow at the giggling and turned to his twin as his avatar respawned.
"Dude. What's with the amorous giggling?" Kin kept his brow raised, watching Kon snuggle his pillow.
"Heheh.. what?" Kon looked to him with big doe eyes. Kin gasped, slapping his hands to the sides of his head.
"Kon! Are you.. in love!?" He asked fearfully. Kon hummed, squishing his pillow with his face."
"Mm?" He chuckled again, rubbing his face into the abnormally-soft pillow. Kin, now frantic, jumped up from his rollie chair and slapped the pillow from Kon's loving hold.
"Kon you look at me in the face—are you in love?" Kin grabbed his brother's face and held it close to his. Kon stared into his eyes with mild concern.
"Umm.. no?"
"Is it a question?" Kin yelled, still scared. Kon laughed at that.
"No—I think I'm in.. love, per say.." He whispered the last part. Kin sighed in relief.
"Oh good—you know what the stories say about love." Kin pointed to him as he headed back to the computer. Kon picked up his pillow, snuggling it again.
"Yeah, yeah.. Lord Amoreces had his heart broken by a witch so hard, that he has to feed on heartache to fill the void—yada yada." He cuddled his pillow happily again—Lord Amoreces would starve before he ate his heartache—Trina wasn't anywhere near his lover.
"—and he just like.. pulled me up against him! Like a barbarian!" Trina whined to her best friend the exact same thing she'd whined to her for the past seven hours. Mina didn't have anything new to say to quiet Trina's crying, but she could at least stay up with her, even if it was nearing 11 o'clock at night.
"I'm sorry Trina—"
"He's so awful!" Trina wailed, sobbing into her pillow. She refused to tell Mina the complete truth—the truth that there was a certain rush that came with Kon pulling her against him, and holding her there with his strong arms. She sobbed again—she'd never really taken notice of how much bigger he was than her.
"I-I thought you said he asked you for permission to do that first?" Mina touched her own cheek nervously.
"To kiss me—not to.. hold me like some.. TROPHYBABE OR WHATEVER!" Trina struggled for breath against her crying. She hated him for this—for making her tingle like that for him, for his kiss. There was no excusing it, it was unforgivable. And yet, she conceded silently, as she wiped her eyes for the hundredth time, she wanted to feel it again so badly. She couldn't help it if there was just something about being held by an extremely huge dude that made her body ache for more. "Oh Mins.." She bit her lip in hiccupped sobs. "I'm going to have to face him again—what am I gunna do?"
"Well, you don't have to—you could just.. ignore him forever?" Mina shrugged, giving her a tiny smile. Trina frowned at her, glaring at her with puffy pink eyes.
"How can I ignore him!? After what he did!?" She yelled at her bestie, squeezing her eyes shut. Mina slumped in confusion.
"Trina you've been ignoring him for years I think you could do it again.."
"No!" Truth be told, Trina didn't want to not see him again—she wanted him to submit to her like he did before, but she couldn't tell Mina that.
"Well.. if you really can't, you could just make sure he doesn't do anything without you're say-so.. maybe he didn't know?" Mina offered another solution hesitantly. Trina perked up at this one. She had taglined Kon as naturally submissive—maybe there was still hope if she asserted her dominance just a little more.
"Perfect idea, Minsky!" She smiled, sniffing and wiping her eye. "I'll show him to mess with the Queencess!" Her grin twisted more cruelly. Mina sighed happily.
"Oh good Trina.. can I go home now?" She asked sheepishly, getting a deadpan from her BFF.
AN: PHEW Finally something mildly long. Getting a little steamy now QwQ/ hehe R&R if you got time! I'm on a roll this time.
