So I know it took me like forever to update, but classes and homework just keep piling up on me. But here I am, and with a new chapter! Yay! But, on a side note, I am sick, so if there's some errors, don't hold that against me. I did what I could.

Logan looked up from his bed when he heard the door to his room creak open.

"Hey," his neighbor, Jett, said; Jett was also staying in the ward; Logan didn't know why though. Jett was extremely good looking, and did have a bit of an attitude, but wasn't a bad person.

"Hey," he said, sitting up as Jett lounged against the wall. "What's up?" Jett looked around before he closed the door, leaving only a sliver open; after that, he moved closer to Logan.

"…We're… we're planning a break out," he told Logan softly, sitting next to him on his bed. Logan looked at him in surprise.

"What?"

"Me and some of the others… we're planning-"

"A break out?!" Logan whispered, not sure if they were being monitored or not. "Are you guys' crazy?"

"Aren't we all? Isn't that why we're here?"

"Jett-"

"Don't you wanna see the guy with the big nose again?" he said, pointing at Logan's picture. Logan glared at him, making him smirk. "So what do you say? You in?"

"Jett, this is a bad idea."

"Of course it is. But wouldn't it be worth the risk?" Logan was silent as he thought about that. Kendall hadn't written him back since Christmas, but he was still keeping tabs on him through his friends. He studied Jett, who was looking pale and tired.

"What's waiting for you on the outside?" Jett's fist clenched but he shrugged, not answering. "Jett."

"Logan… you and I are some of the only sane ones left. Don't you want just one night as yourself before they take that from you? How long can we go on without them realizing we're not taking those meds that they want us on? The ones that keep everyone else that's stuck here in a perma-daze. You, me, and like three others are holding onto our sanity as long as possible, but they'll notice." Logan processed this before speaking.

"When are you planning to do this?"

"Friday night. Shift change. 8 PM." Logan was silent as he looked over at the picture of him and Kendall.

"Let me… let me think about it." Jett nodded and clapped him on the shoulder.

"It won't be any fun without you buddy."

On Thursday, Logan still hadn't given Jett an answer. He was waiting to see his friends first. Today's visitors consisted of his brother, his sister, and Carlos.

"Hey Loges. How ya doin?" James started out, making Logan give him a strained smile.

"I'm doing okay." He turned to his sister, expecting her to say something; she usually did.

But today, Camille was extremely quiet.

"Cami? What's wrong?" He looked at his other friends as he asked this, but none of them met his eyes. "What is it?!"

"Well…" Camille started out, not looking at Logan. "Kendall and I… have been hanging out a lot lately…"

"Oh." All was silent before Logan began to speak. "Are you… are you dating him?"

"What?! No! Logan, I wouldn't do that to you!"

"Then why are you avoiding my eyes?" Camille shrugged and finally met his eyes.

"I just… I think… I think he's beginning to like me."

"…What?" Logan looked at Carlos, who just shrugged.

"He's been acting weird lately."

"Weird how?"

"Just… he doesn't want to spend any time with anyone."

"Except me," Camille said, looking at him now. "I'm sorry Logan!"

"You… you…"

"Loges." Logan looked at James, who was frowning. "I think he's just confused. He misses you, and then there's Camille, who looks an awful lot like you. I don't think it's her he really likes; he just really misses you."

"If he would come visit me-"

"But he won't," Carlos said, frowning now too. "He wants to fool himself into thinking he's doing the right thing by avoiding you. We all know he's still crazy about you. But he's using Camille as a distraction." Logan looked at Camille, who smiled guiltily.

"Do you… like him?"

"NO! Kendall is not my type," she said, shaking her head. "He's just confused. I'll set him straight."

Logan just nodded before he looked at them all with a sad smile.

"I'm tired. You should all go." They nodded and left. He watched them go before he got up and made his way to his room; instead of stopping at his door, he went to the one next door. Knocking, it was quickly opened by Jett.

"Logan."

"I'm in." Jett grinned and pulled Logan into his room so they could talk out the details.

When 8 PM rolled around on Friday night, Logan's leg bounced with nerves; he knew what they were doing was wrong, but he just knew he had to see Kendall. He heard a thud against his wall, making him jerk a bit.

That was the signal that it was go time.

Getting up and slowly opening his door, he saw Molly packing up for the night. She looked up at him, her eyes twinkling.

"Everything okay Logan?" she asked as she slung her bag over her shoulder.

"Yes Ma'am, I was just gonna go see Jett for a minute."

"Mhm… well, don't be out too late. Curfew is at 10." He stopped and looked her; she just simply smiled and turned to leave. "Your night nurse won't be here for another few minutes. Don't get in trouble while you're unsupervised okay?"

"Okay…" He watched her go with growing confusion before he made his way to Jett's room. He let himself in to find Jett waiting for him, dressed in non-ward clothes. "Where'd you get those from?" he asked, making Jett smile as he thrust a bag in his hands. Logan was surprised to see his name on the bag. Upon opening it, he smiled. "How'd you get these?"

"They were the clothes you came in; they were in a storage closet," he said, twirling a key ring on his fingers. "Hurry up and change. We gotta get going before the night-nurses get here." Logan nodded and quickly slipped the clothes on, bunching his ward-required outfit in the bag before storing it under Jett's bed. "Ready?"

"Ready." Together, the two of them hurried out into the hallway, running into a closet when they heard footsteps come their way.

"We can't get caught. Matt and Jake are meeting us at the rendezvous point." Logan nodded at this; he had never really talked to either Matt or Jake since their rooms are on different sides of the hall than theirs, but he knew who they were. Together, they hurried, their feet thudding on the tile floors. They skidded to a halt as they saw two nurses standing right in front of the doors.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Logan cried out, only for Jett to slap a hand over his mouth.

"You want to get us in trouble Genius?" he hissed, pulling Logan into an alcove as the two of them stood there, waiting. "We're trying not to get caught!"

"Sorry!" Logan whispered back as the two peeked out to see that the nurses have moved on. "We were just so close…"

"And we still are. Let's go." Jett grabbed Logan and tugged him behind him as they ran towards the door.

As they stepped outside, they both let out relieved breaths.

"We did it!"

"Let's get to the van!" They made their way to a band with the ward's logo on it; Jett had swiped the keys for it. They found Matt and Jake both crouching behind it, both dressed in normal clothes.

"Finally!" Matt exclaimed as he stood up, his eyes wary. "What took you two so long?"

"Nurses," is all Jett said as he got into the car. "Get in." Once the other three were settled in, Jett started it and they were off.

Logan looked back at Matt and Jake, who were both looking out their respective windows; Matt had a football players build, with the broad shoulders and thick legs; his hair was wavy and light brown; his eyes were a plain, simple green that held contempt as he crossed his arms. Jake, on the other hand, was slim, with long arms and long legs; his hair was dark black and curly, his eyes and electrifying blue.

"Alright Logan, here we are," Jett said as he pulled the van up to the curb. Logan looked at the dark house, finding only a single light on in a back bedroom; he had a feeling that was Kendall's room.

"Thanks. See you guys in, what, an hour right?"

"No later than an hour and a half," Jett said, looking at the clock on the dash. "We've gotta get back before we're noticed." Logan nodded and got out, watching them drive off before he took a deep breath. With slow, determined steps, he made his way to the front door and knocked loudly.

Kendall was sitting in his room, just staring at the wall, his eyes blank.

He had seen Camille earlier; they had been hanging out more and more these days, and then today, she had dropped a bomb on him. She thought he liked her! But he loved Logan…

Even though Camille was very pretty… with that dark brown hair and dark brown eyes…

Okay, so she did remind him of Logan a little bit.

But there wasn't anything there besides the resemblance.

Kendall was jolted as a loud knock resonated in the empty house; he was home alone, like he usually was on Friday nights. Trudging to the door, he pulled it open to see a nervous looking Logan.

"Kendall."

"Logan…" Kendall felt a burst of emotion well up in him before he grabbed Logan and pulled him into the house, connecting their lips in a desperate, needy, kiss.
