Here it is, the FINAL CHAPTER of "Lets Be Friends".

Took me long enough to get here, and I hope ya'll like it.

Logan looked at the letter in his hands; he hadn't expected it to come so soon, but there it was.

He dropped it onto his desk and turned away before turning back.

He should open it, right?

But what if…

He knew what Kendall would say.

'Open it. What's the worse that's going to happen?'

Logan picked it up and began to slowly pick at the seal before he dropped it again.

No, he wouldn't open it.

Not yet.

Pretty sure I know what it says anyway.

He turned away and then turned back, putting the envelope into an inside jacket pocket before he turned and walked out of the room.

It was graduation, after all.

He couldn't be late.

"I honestly didn't think you'd make it this far without killing someone," James said as he grinned at his brother. Logan rolled his eyes as he fixed his cap; the two were milling around with the rest of the students, waiting for them to be called into their rows. "You are kinda crazy."

"I know," Logan said simply, smiling at him, "But I made it…. Surprisingly."

"So, after this are you and Kendall gonna ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after?" James asked, trying not to laugh at the look his brother gave him.

"This coming from the guy who's engaged already," Logan muttered, making James shrug, hands out.

"Hey, when I know, I know. Carlos is it for me." Logan smiled as he watched his brother turn his head to try to catch a glimpse of where the two younger teens were sitting with their families. Logan's smile dropped a bit as the light caught on the scars that still resided on his brother's face.

"Do they bother you?"

"What?" Logan pointed at his own face and James shrugged. "A bit; it's like the skin is really tight, so if I smile too much or laugh or just move my face in general it gets a bit uncomfortable, but I've learned to live with it. I almost forgot it was there," he said, bringing a hand up to trace the light scars on his face. "Carlos has pretty much forgotten about his burn marks too. It's just a part of who we are now ya know?" Logan nodded and James smiled, not a hint of pain on his face. "Anyway, enough about me. What's the envelope you've got hiding in your jacket pocket by the way?" Logan raised an eyebrow.

"How-"

"I'm your brother. I know you better than you know yourself." Logan shrugged and then turned. "So what is it?"

"James, it's nothing to be concerned about."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"Okay…." James was about to lunge at him when they were called to get into their respective places. Logan shrugged at him with a self-satisfied smile and turned to walk away, leaving his brother wondering what he was hiding.

Kendall and Carlos sat in the seats surrounding the area where the ceremony were being held. Their families were sitting in the row behind them along with Logan and James parents. Camille came to sit next to them, giving them both soft smiles.

"It's gonna be weird without them going to school with us, huh?"

"Yeah," they said, Carlos absent-mindedly playing with his ring.

"At least Carlos is set," Kendall joked, making Carlos grin.

"You might as well be." The two continued to joke until two shadows fell over them.

"Lynn," Kendall said happily before he caught sight of who she was with. "…Jett?"

"They let you out?!" Carlos, making Jett roll his eyes as Lynn took the seat next to Carlos, and Jett next to her.

"They did," Lynn said, squeezing Jett's hand and catching the disbelieving looks of her friends. "Oh so you two can date older men but I can't? I swear I will beat you both senseless if you make one smart-ass comment."

"At least you'd wipe the dumb looks off their faces."

"Ooh, I like her. I'm Lynn."

"Camille."

As the two girls got acquainted, Kendall turned to Carlos, who nodded and then turned to Jett, who was watching them.

"…Are you okay?"

"I'm not crazy if that's what you're wondering," he said, sounding bored; when Lynn turned her attention back to him, he perked up and seemed like a completely different person. Kendall and Carlos exchanged another look before they raised their hands in surrender.

"Whatever."

John looked at his ex-wife, the mother of his child, as his husband squeezed his hand. He knew he should talk to her, but what could he say?

"I'm glad Logan invited me," he started off, making her look at him with a jerky nod.

"Me too. I'm surprised he did though."

"Me too. You didn't tell him to?"

"He stopped listening to me as soon as he met Kendall."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. It was only a matter of time before it happened to him. I knew what was coming. Granted, I hoped it would be a woman who held his attention away from me, but it wasn't. It was Kendall." John watched as the woman's eyes traveled to look at the blonde that was laughing with her daughter and his friends. "And Kendall's been good to him. I'm ashamed of how I acted before. I didn't understand, but I'm beginning to."

"I am sorry for whatever pain I caused you." She looked at him and patted his shoulder.

"It's okay. You needed to live your life, and you couldn't do that with me as your wife."

"I really did love you."

"But that wasn't enough for you. We're better off as friends, don't you think?" John smiled then, making her smile too.

"I do."

"And it was the best thing for Logan. I understand that now too."

"It was. But I hated leaving you two like that."

"What else could you have done?" When she didn't get a response from him, she nodded again. "That's what I thought."

Logan was surprised when his name was called so quickly; he had been daydreaming so much that he had already missed half of the graduating class go. He made his way up to the podium and took his diploma, shaking hands with the principal and heading back to his seat in a matter of minutes; he didn't miss the overly loud cheers coming from a small part of the seats that were directed his way. He smiled as he settled back in his seat, watching everyone else go now.

He had done it; he had been worried that his little trip in the Nut House would knock him back, but here he was, a graduate, done with high school. It felt very freeing to him.

As he crossed his arms over his chest, he felt the envelope press against his chest a bit, and remembered he wasn't quite done yet.

As Kendall followed everyone down to where the recently-graduated students would be, he felt his phone vibrate; upon reading the text, he raised an eyebrow while a smirk found its way to his face.

He had something he had to do apparently, and it would be fun doing it.

He hoped he wasn't walking into the lions' den though.

Pocketing his phone, he ran up to his boyfriend and wrapped him in a hug while his mind raced a-mile-a-minute; luckily, part of the task had already been done for him.

Logan had unzipped the gown he had been required to wear over his dress-clothes for graduation.

'Makes things easier for me' Kendall thought as his boyfriend hugged him tightly. As he placed a hand on the broad chest of the brunette, he let his fingers creep a bit on the shirt-covered skin. Logan didn't think anything about it as Kendall was usually touchy with him; he was too busy nuzzling against his boyfriend to really think anything about it.

But then, when Kendall slipped his hand into Logan's jacket, he realized something was up.

He was too late though; Kendall had grabbed the envelope and was sprinting away.

'Damn those long legs of his.'

"Kendall come back here!" Logan exclaimed, but it was too late once again; James now had the letter and was reading it, Kendall and Carlos craning to see it too. All three's eyes were widening upon each line they read. Logan stood there, foot tapping as he waited to see what awaited him.

"Loges…" James started, looking at his brother, "This is great!"

'Wait, great?! That means…'

"Congrats Logan!" Carlos said as he took the letter back with shaking hands.

Mr. Logan Johnathon Mitchell, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted… Logan's thoughts trailed off as he looked at Kendall, who was smiling at him.

"You did it."'

"I got in."

"You did."

"I got in."

"Yep."

"I GOT IN!"

Two Months Later:

Logan was following Kendall around as the taller of the two looked around the store, trying to find new clothes for the upcoming school year.

"So, you ready to start college?" he asked, throwing the question over his shoulder like it was no big thing. Logan rolled his eyes as he followed his boyfriend around before he answered.

"I'm only going once a week and most of my classes are online. You'll still see me." Kendall stopped walking and turned to Logan, a small smile on his face.

"I know… I just…"

"Worry."

"Yeah."

"Well don't. I'm not going anywhere." Kendall smiled and turned back to the rack of clothes he was looking at. "You ready for Junior Year?"

"Oh yeah," he said, grinning now. "I'm hoping to follow in my beloved boyfriend's footsteps and fall in love with some tiny Freshman." Logan playfully pushed Kendall, who was laughing. "I'm kidding. You're the only one for me."

"Good." They smiled like dopes at each other before a loud voice rang out and a small tan body flew between them.

"Hide me!" Carlos laughed, clinging to Kendall, who turned to shield the smaller teen with his body as another person showed up.

"Where is he?!" James asked, looking around. Logan raised an eyebrow and looked at his brother.

"What happened?"

"He wants me to wear a lime green tux for the wedding! Do you know how ugly that color is?!"

"He wants me to wear a dress!" Carlos countered from Kendall's chest, making the two laugh.

"Only because you want me to wear an ugly color." Carlos popped his head out from around Kendall and smiled.

"Black?"

"Black."

The two laughed and shared a kiss as Kendall let go of Carlos before he was tugged down to kiss Logan, who murmured against his lips.

"I'm glad it was you."

"Me too."
