Here is the next chapter which only be from Peeta's point of view, and there will be sadness in this chapter. I don't own the Hunger Games trilogy. Sorry for taking so long, but since Thanksgiving coming I won't be putting up a lot of chapters as of yet. I'll try to put up the next one as fast as I can.

Chapter 16: The battle begins, and the death of Sorcerer Snow

Peeta

I finally get in to the palace with Lulu for help as I acted like I was meant to be in the place. As then we finally get to the ballroom where the party was supposed to be in when I see this woman in the nude dress talking to Snow about something, and then I hear Katniss's name dropped in. I looked at Lulu as I said "Is the woman talking to Snow the one who helped him punish Katniss? If so what's her name anyway?" Lulu looks at the direction of where I was looking at when she said "Peeta just to let you know that woman with Snow is the one who helped punish Katniss. Her name is Feffie, like you say it in France but she speaks in English so don't let that full you." I nodded at her as we started to look around when I see Katniss coming into the ball wearing a beautiful wedding gown with her hair in a medieval style. I watch her walk up to Snow as he induces Feffie to her and that is when it happens. We watch as Katniss falls to the floor; as then Snow picks her up and with this woman falling in toe with him to the other side of the room, and then they seem to disappear from everyone's view. Both Lulu and I tried to follow them but there where so many people at the ball that neither Lulu nor I could see where they went. I looked at Lulu as I said "We have to find out where they are going, I can't let that Ass whole take Katniss away." Lulu put her hand on my shoulder as she said "Don't worry we will find them" then something hit her as she said again "I think I know where they are follow me" that is when I followed Lulu to where ever it is that she was going. That is when I went into this room that Katniss and Snow as well as the woman that was with him were in. Lulu had me hide behind the pillar as she said "Whatever happens please be careful Peeta, and make sure you make that damn ass whole pay for what he has done."

I nodded as I watched Lulu leave the room, but just as she left the room, but then something has caught my eye. I looked over to the direction to what caught my eye when I noticed that it was no other then my mother lying on the cold floor with blood coming from her side. I ran over to her as the priest was starting the ceremony; I started to drag her to the one pillar that I was hiding behind and I helped her by having her put her back to the pillar. I put my hand on her side where the cut was when I said "Mother what happen to you? How did you get out of that chain prison that Snow put you in" as then I felt my mother put her hand on my cheek as she whispered out "I used magic to get myself out without anyone noticing what I was doing. But that doesn't matter right now, you have to go and stop Snow from marrying Katniss. Now go Peeta, and go get your love back" I looked at her as I could see that the light in her eyes were leaving her. I whispered out "Mother please don't leave me, I forgive you for all the things you did. But I need you, please don't leave me" that is when I hear her say her one and final word to me. She looked at me as she whispered her last words out "Peeta I am so proud of you" and that is when I watched my own mother die in my arms. I sat there looking at my mother and I could feel my beast wanting to come out. As then I look down to see that my mother had left me something to use against Snow so I pick up the paper that happened to be a spell. I study it as fast as I could and put it away as I looked around the pillar to see that the priest had started to say "If there is someone out here in this room to object to this union, please speak now or forever hold your peace." I knew that was my cue to give Snow a peace of my mind.

As then I see Snow just about to kiss Katniss as I yelled out "I OBJECT TO THIS UNION!" I step out from behind of the pillar; as I see Snow's reaction as I noticed that Katniss isn't even looking at me. I hear Snow say as he passes Katniss over to Feffie as he said "I didn't say that anyone should object, but since you're so insisting to having an objection I'm afraid you're too late Peeta Mellark. Katniss has agreed to be my wife, and you should just go since now you don't have anyone anymore." I hear Katniss giggle at me, but I seethed at Snow as I said "I'm not here to save Katniss, like you said I've already lost her. I'm here to finish what I started!" Feffie starts to take Katniss to the other side of the room where a big huge white rose resides as Snow spoke with caution "And what is that, to talk to me to death! What else do you want from me then?" I can only smirk as I said "YOUR LIFE FOR A START!" That is when we start our battle of who is going to live.

I see Katniss put into the white rose with the help of Feffie, as Snow got out his sword as he says "Now to make sure that you never see her again!" I only smirked as I said "Then let's do this then, since you think that you can hit me." As then Snow runs to me as I moved out of the way; he then ran over to me again, but I had my sword up to guard myself from him. We pushed each other out of the way as Snow yelled out "How did you get this good boy! Someone had to of taught you or something." I only smirked as I said "I learned here and there. But I know something that you don't know Snow!" He looked at me as he said "And what is that then." I responded with "How about I just surprise you with it. Call it your wedding gift!" As then we start our sword fight as we go back and forth as we hit our blade against each other. I see him seethed with anger as I spoke out in confidence "I guess you're having problems with being an old man." He yelled back with "The last time you were, here Katniss couldn't even look at you! Why don't you leave us alone, and go lay in the forest where you belong now!" I only ran over to him and hit his arm. I hear him scream out in pain as I watched him step back a little. As then Feffie yelled out "Snow are you all right! Do you need something? . . . Oh my god you're getting old!" As then I see Snow hitting his 30's as he yelled out "How did you get spell! Your mother is the only one who . . . So then it makes since you must of gotten the spell from your mother. You have become a monster!" I start to run over to him as I raised my sword to him, but he raises it back as he waved his sword at me. I dodged it, but my arm gets hit.

I grabbed my arm as I hear Snow laughing as he says "Don't worry I'll make this quick on you. So that way you don't have live with the pain of Katniss being with child." I looked up to see Snow smirking at me as I yelled out "She's pregnant with your filthy child!" I started to ram over him as I yelled out "You sick son of a bitch!" As we rolled all over the floor as I feel him kick me out of the way, and pulled out his wand as he yelled "How about I turn you into a baby. So that why you won't miss Katniss anymore." As he was about to hit me with the spell; I hide behind the pillar, which only hit the pillar instead. I looked back as to see if he had stopped, but I was wrong as he kept throwing spells at me left and right. I stayed behind the pillar until it was safe to move. I got out a dagger as I tried to throw the dagger at him. Which hits his arm; he pulls it out but it's too late Snow is aging into his 60 year old self. He can't even pick up his sword anymore, as I hear him yell out "No this isn't supposed to be like this! I'll never have her love me like this, and it's all thanks to you boy!" As he was just about to cast another spell me I dodged it again, but it hits Feffie instead and I can only smirk. Feffie start to get younger and younger until she's on the floor crying. I ran over to the other side to go hide behind the pillar as I hear old Snow yell out "Someone get Feffie out of here!" As then one of the servants picked up Feffie up and fled the scene of the battle. I hear Snow yell out "You can't hide forever boy! You need to come out sooner or later!" I start to conger up the courage as I went around the pillar and ran over to him. I raise my sword up as he was just about to hit me as I stabbed him right in the chest.

I hear him gasping for air, but then I feel something to my left side as I looked down to see he had stabbed me. I looked back as he starts to grow older, and older as he says "You know you won't get her back! I won't let you Peeta Mellark. She'll always belong to me, and you'll stay cursed forever you know that. You think that if you killed me it would release you from the curse. That you have finally won and saved your beautiful Katniss from me. Well I hate to bust your bubble but it won't! If I die she'll stay as a vixen forever, and you'll stay a wolf forever" I pull out the dagger that he had stabbed me with as I winced in pain, but I can only say to him just like I did when I saw in the crystal ball "You're only half wrong on that part. Katniss's curse is undone now! Even though it won't change her back, and it will keep her appearance forever unchanged. I've sacrificed myself so that way she can be free from you. Which means it cancels it out and she's free from you so that's fine for me. And this one is for my mother who you just killed." As then I pulled the sword out of his stomach; I watched him fall to the ground as he started to grow older and older until he spoke his in his old tone "Yes you might have saved her but you didn't save yourself. You will never be with her you know that. I won't let you have her, and I'll make sure you never will or anyone else for that matter. She's already in the white rose, all I have to do is snap my fingers and she'll be back in diapers in no time. Or even look at them and think they're strangers. You'll stay a wolf for the rest of your life and be part of the wild too." I spoke confidently "I would like to see you try." As he started to die and turn into dust; after that happened to the white rose opened up its petals and out came Katniss wearing her wedding outfit for Snow. I ran over to her as then I watched the white rose disappeared from our sites. I looked over to Katniss as I noticed that she's asleep, and so I picked her up bridal style.

I take her out of the room and up the stairs to where her bedroom is. I know now that I'll never have her, and I know that I'll have to expect that for the rest of my life. I then toke her to her bedroom; laid her on her bed, and kissed her head. I whispered to her softly "Katniss you're save now, and you don't have to live in fear of becoming a doll for Snow. Anymore and I hope you will enjoy your new life too." As then I got up from her bed, and I started to walk out of her room but before I did I heard her whisper "Peeta." I go down the stairs to see Haymitch, and Cinna standing there waiting for me. I spoke with caution as I said "Let me pass!" Haymitch yelled out "No boy, you saved us and Katniss. So now you want to leave her more than ever, now that you've stopped Snow. If you leave her Peeta, she'll never be the same after this. We can't let you leave Peeta, Katniss needs you." I seethed with anger as I said "LET ME LEAVE HAYMITCH! I can't stay here!" As then Cinna walked up in between us as he said "Peeta we know that Snow has turned you into a wolf. Stay with us Peeta, we'll try to save you from this curse. Please Peeta, you have to stay." I had to look away as I said "No, no one can save me from this."

As then I pushed both Cinna and Haymitch out of the way as I ran out of the palace. I start to notice that the sun is coming up and I'm turned back into a wolf. I run to the forest, and back into the cave that I now call home. Now that I don't have anyone to love me, or care for me ever again.
