Chapter 18: We found each other

Peeta

I woke up in my cave, as I tried to lick my wounds. It was evident that I was going to have to do something soon and fast. I went outside to find moss one the rocks around the cave. So I toke one and tried to soak up the bleed.

As then I just laid there for a while when I can my stomach go on protest. I get up on went out of the cave, and went to find some food for me to eat. I went through the forest to see a rabbit and chased after it as I got to it I stomped it with my paw. I started to eat the rabbit as then I heard it as a young woman screaming from the distance. I ran over to the direction of the voice where the young woman maybe at. As I got to the place where the young woman had been scream from. I realized who the woman is, and it's no other then my Katniss. I see her lying on the ground as I watch the blond horseback way from what seems to be mountain lions. I see Katniss wiping a stick at them, and I don't understand why she doesn't just shoot them. But then I hear from in the distance Gale shouting "Katniss where are you?" I see Katniss scream out "I'm over here Gale; I didn't think to bring my hunting gear. I think that I might have broken something too. I can't seem to hold back to mountain lions." As then I see one of the mountain lions nipped at her as I hear her say "Oh" as I watched her scoot back to the tree. I watched them get closer to her; but I decide to jump in and save Katniss from being cat food.

I jump in front of her as I growled at the mountain lions which don't seem to have any a fact to them. I ran into one of them as to get them away from Katniss, and nip at the other one. All of the sudden all of the mountain lions ganged up on me and pounce on me. I could feel one of the bit into me wound from what I did my fight with Snow. I howl in pain as I feel the one still biting me; until I hear a whack from a stick that hits one which I hear one of them whimpering, and I hear Katniss yell out "Get away from him." As then one of the mountain lions had leaped at me, but I ran into the mountain lions that were leaping at me. As then they all whimpered and ran for their lives. I look back at them and did as sound of a humph. Then I turned back to see my Katniss staring at me as I start to lump back to the way my cave is; as then I start to feel dizzy, and I started to black out.

Katniss

As we rode into the forest, I found a path as I yelled to Gale "Catch me if you can." I raced in front of Gale as I hear him laugh, and then I was in the farther into the woods. I had the Sandstorm just slowed down as I looked around to see if there was any water for my horse. As we found a stream nearby; so I get of Sandstorm, and toke him to the stream. I let the horse drink as I say "You're thirsty aren't you" as I hear the horse drink up. As then both of us heard a loud growl coming from the other side of the stream. I looked up to see that there were a group of mountain lions coming towards us. I had Sandstorm back away from the stream; as I said "It's okay, we have to move out of here. Let's go very slowly okay." As then I stumble on a branch and I fell as I hear Sandstorm make a sound as the mountain lion came up to him. The mountain lion nipped at the horse as he backed away from me. I looked away from the lion; but one of them was right behind me, so I tried to get up but I can't seem to get up. So I tried to back away from the lions. As then I hear Gale yell out "Katniss where are you?" I screamed out "I'm over here Gale; I didn't think to bring my hunting gear. I think that I might have broken something too. I can't seem to hold back to mountain lions." As then one of the mountain lions nipped at me as I screamed out "Oh" and what happens next makes me look up in all. I see this blond hair wolf come out of nowhere, and I know who it has to be as he gets in front of me.

I looked at him in all as he looks at me as if he's telling me that question of "Are you all right?" But it was only for a short second as I watched him start a fight with the lions. I watched Peeta swiped at the lion as the other one tried to attack by Peeta as he lounged at them. I looked at him in all as he attacked every each one of them as well. The fight went on and on until I saw one of the lions bit into his wound on his side. I tried to find a stick so that way I can swipe at the mountain lions; so I found one as I hurried to help Peeta from being attacked by the mountain lions. I yelled at them as I said "Get away from him." As then I watched my Peeta ram into one of them as they all whimpered and ran off. I looked back to Peeta to see in his eyes that he seemed happy that I'm safe; but as he turns around he starts to fall down from where he's going. I screamed out "Peeta" as I tried to run up to him to see that he was going to pass out. I looked down to see him bleeding from his wound, and as I looked up to see Gale coming towards me. Gale must have gotten off his horse as he runs up to me as he says "Katniss, I tried to get to you as soon as I could. We have to get out of here. It's too dangerous." I went over to Peeta as I spoke wildly "No I won't leave him. I won't leave Peeta again, not again. I won't leave him, and not like this when he's injured." Gale got close to where Peeta and I were at as he said "Okay I'll put Peeta on my horse, and you can get on yours." I looked around as I said "I don't know where Sandstorm is." Gale whistled for the horse to come back, and it did as Sandstorm got close to me. I got on to him as Gale toke Peeta on to his horse. So we started to head back to the direction where the palace resides.

We finally got to the palace as I hear my mother yell out "Oh my goodness, what happened to the both of you." As we got close to the palace one of the servants came up to me as she said "Let me help you Katniss. You look like you might be hurt." I had one of the servants help me off Sandstorm, and helped by the steps to the palaces. As I hear Gale say to my mother "We were out riding and we were found by mountain lions. As then Peeta here saved Katniss from them, and now he's injured." I looked up to my mother as I said "Yes it's true, Peeta saved me. We need to save him, and ouch." My ankle was hurting as one of the servants said "I think it maybe sprained. We need to take you to your room so you can rest." As then Haymitch came up to me and picked me up bridal style as he said "Don't worry Katniss, we'll get the both of you back together again in no time. We'll see to Peeta as soon as I get you up to your room." I watch Peeta being carried by Gale as they go into the palace first, and then Haymitch and I go in next. As we go in and walk by the playroom I see that Gale takes Peeta in there. I wonder if I'll ever get to see him again, but I try not to worry so much of it. As Haymitch takes me up the stairs, and into my room. He then palaces me on the bed as he yells out "Hey Mary, we need some help." As then Mary comes rushing in with ice and a badge, and got to work on my ankle.

As she got done she gave me a week smile, and she was about to leave when I spoke again "Mary please make sure that Peeta is okay." She gave me the smile that was brighter than the sun. She then spoke as she was about to leave "Don't worry we'll take good care of him. You just rest okay." I can only nod as I watch Mary leave, and as I was about to rest I hear Haymitch says "I'm going to see to Peeta, and talk to him. Do you need anything?" I only nodded my head as I watched Haymitch leave my room and left me to rest. As then I started to smell something in my room, but I started to fall asleep and dream again.

In the dream I'm in my playroom with Peeta. I went over to the bed where Peeta laid in, but then I heard a voice come out of nowhere. As the voice said "Do you really think that you'll be with Peeta? If you haven't noticed that you belong to me Katniss. And I'll never let Peeta Mellark have you!" I spoke out "Look whoever you are I don't care. I love Peeta and I'll never leave him. I'll never leave his side, and you can't make me oh." As then I can feel my crouch getting wet as the voice spoke again "No, no, no Katniss you can't be with him if you're in diapers." I start to feel myself getting smaller and smaller until my dress is big on me. I look up to see that Peeta is bigger and I start to cry. As then I see Snow standing in front of me laughing at me as he said "Now let's see if you and Peeta will ever get back together." As then I'm crying as I see Peeta wake up to see me as a baby, and as Peeta gives me a look of shame. I held my little arms up as I hear Peeta say "Katniss I can't be with you like this." As then I scream out of pain, but it's more of a whale since I'm a baby. That is when Snow picks me up and says "Why don't I give you something to be happy about?" I scream even more as I realized what is going to happen next, and that is when I wake up from the dream. As I noticed that there is something in my room, and I tried to get up but the pain in my ankle starts to hurt. So I lay back down, but the smell that is in my room makes wonder if I've smelled it before. As then I see what it was, and it's no other then that white rose that I have seen somewhere before.

Peeta

I woke up in a strange bed, and as I tried to get up I realized the pain is hurting me. But then I hear someone say "Don't even try to get up; you need some rest from the ordeal that you just had today." As then I looked towards the direction of the voice as I noticed that it was no other then Haymitch. He looked at me with anger as I said "What do you want!" I noticed that I was in my human form, which must mean its night fall. I hear Haymitch say "If you must know Katniss was a rack without you! She's been calling you ever since you left this morning, and if you ask me you should go see her right now. Because if you don't go see her, it's only going to get worse from here." I looked away as I said "I can't have her Haymitch!" I hear him yell out "Why not Peeta! Let me ask you something, do you love her!" I looked back at him as I said "Yes I do, but . . ." Haymitch yelled back with "But what, but nothing you love her, and she loves you! Just go see her and let it be done with it."

I scream at Haymitch as I yell out "Because of the curse, I can't be with Katniss because I'm staying as a wolf. I love her so much that it hurts to be away from her. But if I go up to her and love her like the way I use to the curse on her might activate. She'll be turned back into a baby, and I'll never have her again. I'll be older then she and she'll be a baby for the rest of her life. I can't handle that Haymitch, I just can't. I saved her from that perverted bastard and now I. I . . ." I feel Haymitch put his hand on my shoulder as I hear him say "It's okay, we had no idea what Snow put the both of you in. We'll find a way for the both of you to come back to the way you guys were. Right now you need some rest, and just promise not to leave again okay. You have to have faith that everything will work out in the end okay. Once you're rested I think you should go see Katniss again, I have a feeling that something bad might happen if you don't have it." I only nodded as I lay back on to the bed, as I watch Haymitch leave the room. I start to daydream of seeing Katniss again, and how it would be when we see each other again. When I see a rose in the middle of the floor; which makes me wonder what it was doing here, and then I noticed that the rose is moving.

The rose starts to move across the floor; swaying it's stem like hips, as then the rose turns into a beautiful young lady. She turns around to show me that she's wearing a white bra that perks up her breasts, and her little tiny thong that's making my manhood come up from under the sheets. I tried to yell for Haymitch to come back; but the girl giggles as she gets up on me and straddles me like a horse. She spoke seductively as she said "Don't worry Peeta; I'm here to please you. I can't believe that you forgot about me. How about I please you right now?" I growled at her as I said "Look I know that you're not the real Katniss. I'm not into the whole sex thing right now." She giggles as she said "Oh well Snow left me here to please you when you came back from your mother's funeral. So I stayed in here until you came back. But don't worry about baby Katniss; you'll be with her as soon as I'm done with you." As she was about to touch herself one of the servants yelled out "Dust the rose!"

As then the illusion Katniss disappeared and was replaced with a dead rose on my lap. I looked up to see that it was Lulu that saved me as I hear her say "I hope she didn't do anything to you yet. I'll take care of the dead rose, and go rest you'll need it." Lulu comes in and picks up the rose as she leaves I spoke out of kindness "I'm sorry for leaving the way that I did." She then looked back at me as she said "It's okay, the important thing is that you can try to make it up to Katniss." As then Lulu left the room; as I start fall asleep and dream of my Katniss again.
