Alex backed away from the figure, afraid.
"Who are you? What do you want?" The cold eyes followed her without blinking. Justin hit the ground, blood spurting out of his mouth.
"I knew you wouldn't recognize me," The figure drew back into his/her robe.
Alex took a breath, "Do you know me?"
Justin waved his hand. Alex held her breath, maybe her brother had one final trick up his sleeve...?
He collapsed. Greeeeat...!
"Now, honestly, you'd think that a mother would recognize her own son!"
Alex's eyes went wide. No, no way...!
Outside of her shock, Alexander was ranting.
"You know, I loved you, really, I did. I was always running after you, calling for my mommy. But you were never there, were you? It was always, 'another time, Lexie' or 'not right now, Lex, your sister needs help'!" He sneered, "And who is this?"
He kicked Justin over, examining him.
"Leave him alone!" Alex shocked herself with how vehement she was. Still, she needed his attention. This was how they worked- Alex worked in the moment, and Justin let her stall to come up with a plan.
Lex stepped forward, "Who is he?! Is this the big family secret?! C'mon! You never told me! There's so much you hid from me, and it's no surprise that you're still hiding things."
Alex bulked, "I love my son more than you will ever know!"
"No you don't! I AM YOUR SON!" He roared. Lex stomped forward, muttering frantically like his father, "Oh... I know!" He said finally. Alex drew back as he stalked towards her, just like her brother. Quietly he started humming.
It was a song she never understood. It was Spanish, something like 'Dices'. Her mother would sing it to her when she was very young, telling her she could be anything she wanted to be, do anything she put her mind to.
"Lexie...?"
"I listened," He hissed, ignoring the water in his eyes, "To you singing that, EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT! And it was always for her! Always for-!"
Justin's hand found Alex's leg. His wand...
In a second, she grabbed her brother, and stabbed his wand into her son-to-be. Lex looked down in time to see the safety guard initiate an emergency transport to beam his mother and father away.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
