"Spencer, good, you're here. I need you and O'Hara in my office, pronto."
"Ok," he replied, and when they were both in the room with the door closed, he added. "What's the deal-io?"
"Sit down! Alright, we basically just need to go over this one more time," she smiled as she watched Shawn take Juliet's hand in his and set them in his lap, "And, I have your rings," she handed one to Shawn and another to Juliet.
Glancing over at Juliet's, Shawn joked, "No wonder we're having marital issues, that ring is not Jules' style at all."
Chief raised an eyebrow, and Juliet blushing, looked away, "You know my style?" she asked catching his eye and smiling slightly.
"I'm a psychic, remember? I know exactly what you like and want."
"Then why don't you do something about it," she asked; then realizing what she said, she blushed and turned away again. He always did that to her, made her say things that she meant to keep in her head - made her thoughts get all mixed up to the point that she didn't even know what she wanted anymore-except one thing. She pushed it out of her mind.
Slightly confused about what he just heard, Shawn laughed nervously, and released her hand. "Um-"
Feeling it her duty to save them all from the conversation that so quickly became awkward, Chief interjected, "Mr. Spencer, these rings will have to do, we do have a department budget. Now let's go over the story one more time."
…
"Come on Shawn, pick up," Juliet sighed to herself as she failed to get through to him on his iPhone for the fourth time, "Damn it, Shawn!"
Annoyed, Juliet honked her horn, despite the fact that it was 7 am. Then getting out of her car she stormed to his door and started pounding on it. "Shawn, get your ass out of bed!"
After about two minutes of pounding on the door, it was still unanswered. "Damn it," she sighed and in a half attempt to turn the handle, she opened the door.
"Shawn," she asked, looking around, confused. It was dark and her guard was up, as she placed her hand on her gun. Opening the door to his bedroom, she swore loudly.
"Shawn," she yelled, ripping the blanket off of him, "Shawn, get your ass up! We have to be at Merrygrove for check-in in an hour and we need to get there early so we can look around without everyone getting suspicious."
"Abby, five more minutes. I promise."
"Shawn," Juliet yelled again as she shook him.
Finally waking up, Shawn grabbed Juliet and threw her onto his bed out of self-defense. "Jules," he asked her, "What were you doing? I thought you were trying to kill me."
"No I was just-" looking up at him, Juliet lost her train of thought and turned her head and blushed. Shawn had pinned her on the bed, straddling her, and was only in his boxers. She couldn't think at all because every time she tried to, her thoughts went directly to the incredibly sexy body only inches away from her. "Um- Shawn?"
"Yeah?" he asked, fighting an urge to kiss her.
"Um, I was- here, can I get up," she asked, her thoughts still jumbled up.
"Oh, Sorry," he blushed and moved off of her.
"I've been trying to wake you up for the last 15 minutes and your door was unlocked, so-"
"So you decided to break-in and attack me?"
"You should lock your door then, and it's not my fault you weren't waking up."
They stared at one another for a second both filled with a confusing mix of emotions. Laughing, Shawn broke the silence, "We really do have the bickering down well."
Juliet smiled, "I'll leave so you can get dressed. You're packed, right?"
"Are you going to jump me if I say no?"
"I didn't jump you, I shook you. You're the one that jumped me."
"Jules, it was a joke."
"Oh, right," she blushed again.
"You do that a lot."
"What?"
"Blush. It's actually quite adorable."
Juliet would have blushed even more, but it wasn't possible. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment. She turned away and started picking up some of Shawn's stuff to pack so he couldn't see how much she really was blushing.
"Come on honey, you shouldn't be embarrassed by the way you are around your own husband," he teased.
"Shawn, get dressed."
….
"Here it is."
"Wow, it's nice. Come on let's park and then sneak around back."
"Well, Shawn, since you made us get her so late, we have to check in first."
"Oh, right," he frowned as they got out of the car, "What are you doing?"
"Getting my stuff, why?"
"Don't. I'll get it for you."
"You don't have to."
"I'm your husband, it's my job right?"
"Well, if you are so polite, we won't have anything to bicker about."
"Fine, take them," Shawn pouted.
"Shawn, if you really want to-," Juliet rolled her eyes.
Shawn smiled, "Great."
…
"There's no couch in our room?" Shawn asked the assistant.
"No. Dr. Merrygrove doesn't approve of them. Too many couples get into arguments and think sending someone to sleep on a couch will make things better. It makes everything worse."
Shawn sighed, I love sleeping on the floor for two weeks straight.
"Oh, you guys are one of those couples, aren't you?"
"No. Of course not," Juliet smiled and awkwardly wrapped her arm around Shawn's waist.
