Here my lovlies

Chapter Six

I slowly woke up without opening my eyes. I took in a deep breath. I knew I was in the clinic at the guild, but there was another scent that interests me. I quickly opened my eyes. I first noticed that I sitting up at an angle, but I didn't care. I saw in my lap was a breakfast tray with two big chocolate chips, a very tall glass of orange juice, and a small plate of bacon and scattered hash browns. I licked my lips and dug in. I was already done with half of my juice and one waffle when I heard a deep chuckled.

I groaned. "Kurogane, if that's you I swear I'll beat you bitching ass when I get out of this bed."

Another chuckle. "I'd like to see you try, but go and finish your food. We have to talk, and I brought company." I turned my head to the right—where the voices were coming from—and I saw Gajeel along with Wendy and Natsu. They seemed very quieter than normal, well at least Gajeel and Natsu were.

"I'll finish eating, but please pull your chair in front of me, so I don't have to strain my neck." I replied. The three dragon slayers complied without a word. I ate as fast as I could and washed my food down with the rest of the orange juice. I gave a satisfied sigh. "Lord that was wonderful." I looked up at my three visitors; they seemed so serious. It was like they were tense. "What's up guys; did anything happen?" I sounded concern as I moved the tray away.

They didn't respond. Natsu sighed. "How did it feel?" he whispered. I cocked my head a little; I didn't understand. He spoke up. "How did it feel, hearing your dragon's voice? After all this time, I just want to know."

I groaned. This is gonna hurt. I leaned back into against the headboard. I took a deep breath. "To be honest, it felt like perfect, genuine joy. It felt wonderful, but-,"

Natsu interrupted. "I know it was a fake, but I wish I could experience that. I-,"

"Don't you even say that Natsu! I know we've been waiting forever trying to know what the hell happened, but don't you dare think that nonsense." I felt my eyes water. I heard Gajeel mutter 'Baka' towards Natsu. I lowered my voice. "It hurts, you know. Think of something that you found that was so wonderful—even if you had a moment of time where, like Gajeel, when you didn't give a sr- about them cause you're that hurt—just think of something so fabulous and extraordinary. You found it after so many years of pain and trials, and you enjoy it for a wonderful, but brief moment. Then everything in the world turns sour, and that thing is fraud. It hurts Natsu. So there you guys, it's a beautiful feeling that pierces your heart as soon as learn it was all a lie." I say coldly. I knew that must have been a hard pill to swallow. We were quiet for a couple of minutes. I sighed. "I'm sorry, that was harsh."

Wendy shook her head. "Don't worry, it's like when I met Porlyusica, I thought I get the same feeling. But I didn't. I'm still happy though." The next thing I knew Natsu was hugging me.

"I'm sorry, Jade-chan." My eyes went wide. I would have never thought Natsu would apologize. "That must have been hard." I slowly patted his back then got faster and began to smile.

"It's alright." I said. Gajeel and Wendy joined us by my bed. He handed me a slip of paper as Natsu backed off. There was an addressed on it. "What's this?"

"The location of Jacob; I finally found the bastard." Gajeel answered.

"Alright! That gives me a good reason to get out this bed. Hmm, when should I leave?" I thought out loud.

"Oh no you don't. This isn't a solo mission. In fact, Master has a whole team ready to move out in two days." Gajeel corrected.

"Yep, we're gonna kick some aq-, the four of us with some others." Natsu supported.

I took off the blanket and swung my legs off the bed. I stood up. Okay good, now let's try walking. I took a step. I quickly knew this wasn't gonna work, before I started to fall. Natsu caught me. "Wow now, take it easy." He placed me back on the bed.

Gajeel handed me a brown paper bag. "What's this?" I asked.

"I don't know; how about you open it?" he smart mouthed.

I grunted at his comment. I opened the bag. There was a cane in there. I took it out and examined it. It was dark polished cherry wood—definitely hand carved. It had jade flowers engraved around the cane. Even though, I was probably named that for my hair color, but it was also my favorite flower. It was beautiful. "Wow this is so cool." I looked up at Gajeel. "Thanks Gajeel, this is wonderful, but why?"

Gajeel crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. I mentally chuckled. He's trying to look cool. "First of all, the three of us pitched in. You said you'd be walking by tomorrow; well, it's tomorrow. I knew you would need some help." He explained. Wendy shyly giggled, and Natsu scratched his cheek.

I giggled. "Thanks you guys." I stood up and began walking with my cane. It was perfect. I went over to Gajeel. "And thanks Kurogane, I would have never guessed this would be the result of that random moment in the woods." I hit him in the stomach with the cane.

"Ah, woman! What was that for?" He growled.

Natsu laughed. "She did say she would get you."

I walked over to the door. "Come on, we have work to do."

I was impressed with the work that Master already accomplished. He had a team ready to go with me to where Jacob was: The Dragon slayers—accompanied with their Exceeds—Lucy, Levy, Ezra, Gray, Juvia, Cana and Laxus. It seemed like a lot of people, but who knows what would happen. But what I wanted to know why was I being stared down by the big S-class mage himself.

I looked at him with wide eyes. The stare was harassing me; it was getting annoying. "What is it?" I snap.

He growled. "So you eat lighting?"

After all that time, that's what he wanted to ask…"Yes." I answered.

He grunted. "So you were raised by a lighting dragon."

Another stupid question. "Yes, and a mineral dragon."

"So you're an actual dragon slayer." He replied.

I shrugged. "It depends on how you look at it. The term has been bended throughout the years."

"Do you consider me a fake lightning dragon slayer?" he asked.

"It wasn't your choice. If it was then yes, but I then again I don't worry too much about it. Besides, your pops is crazy." I explained.

He nodded slowly. "Why do you know about that?"

I chuckled. "Hehe, I talk."

Laxus groaned. "Great another gossiper for the guild." He got up and left me at the table. Weirdo.

I looked at the cane in my hand. I sighed. I'm gonna be needing this for a while. Master approached me. "You seem to be feeling better." He smiled.

I nodded. "For a girl who pretty much had a mental breakdown, I am. You all are so nice. Can I do anything for you?"

"No, I was going to ask you if you're sure you want to come along. I don't want you to get hurt really bad. Plus, this must be really hard for you." He answered.

I shrugged. "Yea I'm sure. This is business I want to settle myself. And I'll get answers along the way." I sighed. "I just wish there was an easier way."

Master Makarov nodded. "I understand; life can be hard sometimes. But I want you to understand that you can bear it all yourself. You have friends who take some of the load without hesitating."

I thought about his words. "Thanks, I'll remember that."

Master patted my shoulder. "Good, now you should get ready to go. You're leaving soon."

Jade was staring at Wendy with wide eyes. "You can do what?!" she exclaimed.

Wendy scratched her cheek. "I only said I can cast a spell on you so you won't get sick on the train." She answered shyly.

She was caught in a tight hug from Jade. "Aha! I knew there was some way not to embarrass myself on the train. Please do it."

I laughed. So she developed motion sickness, too. Gosh, what is up with dragon slayers and trains? Happy looked at me. "What's so funny Lucy?"

I waved my hand. "Nothing." I fanned myself with a train schedule. "It sure is hot."

Jade let go of Wendy and looked at me. "Really? I love this type of weather." She said as Wendy cast the spell on her and Gajeel.

"But it's like 100 degrees out here." I responded.

"Tch, this reminds me of the ride to Tenrou Island. That was hot." Gajeel grunts.

Jade shrugged. "Oh well, I rather have this than cold weather. I can't stand that."

"Hey look, the train's coming." Levy points out. The train approaches. We show our tickets to the conductor and we board on."

I thought for a moment. "Wait a sec, where the hell is this Christen Town?"

Crystal groaned. "It's been three hours since we left and know you're asking that…You will never cease to amaze me."

I nodded. "Thank you."

"Wait," Natsu cried out as he clenched onto his stomach, "it's only been three hours? How much longer?" he wailed.

"It's a three day trip, but we're gonna stop in about thirteen hours at a town for two days to plan." Lucy answered.

"Wendy, how long those the Troia spell last?" Lily asked.

The little dragon slayer thought for a sec. "I saw about another six hours."

That wasn't good news. "What! Can't you put it on again?" I cried.

Wendy shook her head. "Not unless you want it to become useless like Natsu."

I gave a low growl. "That's not gonna be a pretty scene."

"Yep, and we're gonna put all of you in your own cart when it happens." Crystal replied.

"Hey, that's cold." I complained.

"Oh well." Crystal shrugged. "Sounds like a personal problem."

Seven hours later…

Jade was right. This isn't pretty. I shook my head as I peeked my head through the curtains to the room where we did put all the dragon slayers. I sighed. "This is sad…" It had only been an hour.

Jade clenched her stomach. "Hush it Blondie, I-," she cut herself off by covering her mouth. She let out a deep breath. "I just got this problem not too long ago." She went back to resting her head on the chair, but it didn't help at all.

The look on her face was hilarious; I couldn't help but chuckle. "Lu-chan, that isn't funny." Levy scolded as she put a wet towel on Gajeel's forehead. She went around and did the same to the other two.

Natsu was ready to die. "We could have walked…" he complained.

"But we didn't; it would have taken forever." Gray replied. This cart was getting crowded.

Jade let out a groan. "How many more hours left?" she croaked out.

"About six hours…" Wendy whispered. Jade muttered a curse and closed her eyes in attempt to sleep.

There was a chuckle behind me. "This is just plain pathetic. They need to learn to control this…" I turned and saw Laxus towering over me.

"That's rude. You never know if you'll develop motion sickness." I retorted.

Laxus chuckled. "That'll be the day." After about fifteen minutes, Wendy suggested everyone should leave and let the three get some rest. We politely exited the room.

My eyes went wide. This building was beautiful. And huge. "Wow, this is wonderful." I said.

"Jade, have you ever been in such a hotel?" Ezra asked me.

I didn't shift my gaze. "Well, I've seen some nice ones, but never like this…" I answered. "This is just… just amazing." I added.

"Wait til you see the rooms." Lucy replied.

"Speaking of that, Master sorted who will be in what room." Ezra said taking out a piece of paper. Cana and Wendy will be sharing one next door to Laxus and Natsu.

"Wait, why do I have to share a room with him?!" Natsu complained pointing at Laxus.

Ezra looked at him coldly. "Do you have problems with Master's orders?"

Natsu quickly shook his head. "Not at all…" Laxus merely chuckled at the scene. Anyway, I was sharing a room with Levy and Lucy. That will be on another floor and our neighbors would be Gajeel and Gray. That left Ezra and Juvia sharing rooms down the hall.

"Master wish he could put everyone on the same floor, but the hotel could accommodate that demand." Ezra concluded. Everyone nodded and entered the building.

Hehe, I have a thing for hot springs… "Are you ready Levy-chan?" I said as I slipped on some flip-flops.

Levy put on her bikini top. I heard a grunt. "I can't believe you girls. This is a mission and you're going swimming."

"Oh stop being a cranky bitching. Let's have our fun before we have to get all serious. You stay hear." I replied. She mumbled a sure.

"But Jade-chan, are you sure you'll be fine. You're still using that cane." Levy asked.

"I'll be fine." I heard the conversation going on next door:

"Hmm, maybe we should go swimming." Lily was saying.

"Psh, and why would I want to do that." Gajeel grunted.

"You just said you heard the girls next door-," Lil' started.

"I have no clue what you're talking about." Gajeel snapped back.

There was a laugh. "Anyway, I'm meeting up with Juvia." It was Gray.

I laughed. "Let's get going." Levy joins me at the door. "Ya coming Lucy?"

The blonde frantically turned towards me. "Are you kidding?!" She pointed at her very large suitcase. "I don't know what to wear." Gah, drama-queen.

Crystal muttered something about being stupid for bringing a swimsuit and so many clothes. I ignored her.

"Lu-chan I think you're taking this a little too seriously. You said you had brought two swimsuits; I don't see how it's this difficult to make your mind." Levy replied. Lucy didn't answer; she went back to digging through her suitcase.

"Okay then, see ya." I responded. Levy and I exited. I wasn't surprised to see Gajeel standing our door with some swim-trunks on, shirtless. I smirked. "Oh Kurogane, it's such a surprised seeing you hear."

He grunted. "I figured I go take a dip." Hah Liar! "What about you?"

"I don't know Gajeel-san. If I'm wearing a bikini top, what the hell must I be planning to do?" I answer sarcastically. He pointed at the cane. "Lighten up." I heard Levy chuckle behind me.

"You think something's funny shrimp?" Gajeel said staring down the bluenette.

"Let her be, old man." I giggled. The term bothered him; I know for sure. Before he could respond, I added, "Anyway, you and Levy-chan go ahead to the pool. I'll meet you there. And be good to her, though it may be hard to resist. I mean look how cute she is in that bikini." I smirked. Honestly, I didn't have anything to do, but I just like seeing them together. I've never seen him act this way.

Levy blushed. "Jade-chan…"

"Al-alright, go." He stammered. Ha! Got him. I left the two and walked into the other direction. This should be a fun night.

Okay, that was an okay-ish chapter, I think so. I needed to focus on my citrus for my other fanfic, still not done… Anyway, I still hope you like this chapter.
