Samuel slammed his large fist on top of the girl. The ground crushed under his fist. "Tch, I hope you're still alive. We're gonna need it." He heard a loud growl. "What the-," His hands slowly started rising. "What! How,"
"Don't underestimate me Samuel. I am a Fairy Tail mage!" She said roared. Her body was glowing an light blue aura and she had a vein popping in her forehead. She then lifted the fist completely and picked it up she flipped the man over onto his back, hard.
Samuel coughed up a heavy amount of blood. "Was that your sheer strength alone? Why do you possess such power?" He said before gasping for air.
Jade chuckled. "You better believe it. I figured your scheme. You've been stealing magic through the tools Jacob sold. I wonder if I can finish you off." She said after noticing his body was rapidly decreasing in size. She inhaled deep and started sucking in what she could.
Samuel could feel his body getting weak. "What kind of monster are you? How can you just absorb magic like that?" he cried out of true shock.
Jade rolled her eyes. "I'm no monster. You are." And with that she finished him off quickly causing the màn to end in a deep unconsciousness. She knew it wasn't gonna be pretty when he wakes up, but then again, he's gonna be waking up in a jail cell if everything goes right. Jade felt a little dizzy. I think my body's rejecting the magic. Oh well, I need to go find everyone. I don't know how long it's been.
I went to the door and I could instantly feel that something was wrong. Everything was cold...it was silent...it was scentless. I opened it. Then, I was hit by such a powerful wave that was heavy with pressure. It was like facing a powerful opponent. But that didn't stop me in my tracks; my friends were lying on the ground-defeated.
"Oh my god," I gasped. In the space there was a huge column tube, glowing. It was the machine.
There was a loud cry of pain. I turned and saw Jacob lying against the wall. "It's working my creation. It lives!" He said with a smirk.
I shook my head. "You are a sick man, Jacob. What did you do to my friends?"
My cousin chuckled. "They tried to stop, but they were too late. I activated the machine. It took my magic, and currently, is consuming theirs. It might be taking their souls with them."
I could feel my body trembling. I had just come this guild and I've caused them so much trouble. They never deserved this, yet they happily came knowing how much danger that could be here. I knew my life was going to be owed to them, but I'd do anything for friends.
"Jade, you're here." It was Crystal.
I smiled. "Hey." Soon everyone was waking up.
"Jade? Where's your cousin? Indeed to pound him." Natsu growled.
"Oh at least she's okay." Wendy smiled.
I laughed. "Jacob's out the picture; he's over there-getting the life sucked out of him."
"What are we going to do?" Lucy asked.
"The kid's okay,but this machine's isn't looking stable." Gajeel noted.
I looked over to Jacob. "It's searching for magic. It'll continue until it's full." He smirked. "There's no way to get out of this." He gave a maniacal laugh. "Who's life is gonna be? You or your friends and others?"
"Is there a way out?" Happy winned.
"I don't think so." Lily shook his head sadly.
"This is fucked up." Laxus growled.
Juvia looked around. "Juvia will sacrifice herself."
"Hell, all of us will." Cana said finding the strength to sit up.
"We will find a way." Ezra said sternly.
"Of course." Levy smiled.
"You delusional fools! You can't win. You have exactly 5 minutes before this machine will, steal the magic and souls of the neighboring towns, maybe even the country." Jacob replied. He had a knife close to his head.
I held it there with confidence. "You're going to shut up otherwise hell is gonna be the first place you would want to be when I'm done with you." I roared. Jacob shook his head. I grinned. "Good night buddy-boy, I'll visit you in jail some time." I then knocked him out. It's annoying that this is always the outcome whenever we met, but it's the way it has to be.
"I'm gonna try to make this thing go crazy by overloading. I have to release all my magic." I giggled.
"Are you crazy!" Lucy cried.
"Kid, you'll get yourself killed." Gajeel retorted.
Crystal was crying. "Don't leave me. We can find another way, please don't go."
I smiled, trying to comfort her. "Come on buddy, you'll be fine. I have to help. Otherwise, a lot of people will get hurt."
"No, you're not doing anything. I'll-," Natsu stopped when Ezra held out her hand.
"Natsu, this is her decision. Plus, if you push yourself, you'll put yourself in much more danger. We can use magic in this place." She said.
"Jade-chan." Wendy muttered. Soon, some of them were crying.
I went over to my Exceed and crouched beside her. I slowly took off my necklace. I could tell a barrier in my body had broken. I would normally be concerned, but I don't care now. I gave it to. She seemed surprise to be holding it. "Jade..."
I patted her head. "Here take this for me. I need you to keep a good eye on it."
Crystal kept shaking her head. "I can't take it, not after all we've been through. You're my best friend. Don't go. Don't sacrifice yourself."
I laughed as I put it on her. "I rather be lost then loose all these wonderful people. The world can go on without me." I then stood and and walked closer to the machine.
"Oi Kurogane," I shouted behind me. I heard a grunt. "I trust you take care of everyone and my cat. She's gonna need it." That's when I heard everyone yelling their protest. I smiled. And the Beast goes down to save her friends...I can put up with that.
It was horrific for the Fairy Tail gang to watch, but that was all they could do. Their bodies were empty; their souls just know returning to them. It was gloomy, depressing, and heart-shattering.
As Jade approached the machine, she began crying out in pain. Her skin was turning into scales; her canines grew; she didn't know what was going on. "Dragon Force?" Crystal thought out loud.
"She's never gone through it? What is going on?" Lucy noted.
"I think she's forcing it. She's going all out." Laxus groaned.
Juvia wiped a tear from her eye. "Jade's so strong."
"Damn woman." Gray replied.
Jade cried out again and sunk to her knees. A light green mist came out her mouth being absorbed by the machine. "Carla, your vision." Wendy gasped.
Carla watched terrified. "It's coming true."
The machine got greedy and picked up the pace-gorging down onto the girl's magic. It kept going and going. Soon, it seemed as if Jade was going quicker and quicker.
Suddenly,when Jade was lying on the ground, the machine began flashing red. It started rumbling violently. "What's going on?" Cana asked.
"What's happening?"Lucy questioned.
"Too much! Too much!" The machine cried in a robotic voice. The base began to grow and expand
"Everyone get ready." Gajeel growled. The group took cover...in the end, the machine exploded-with Jade at the center of.
The final return to Fairy Tail after weeks of recovering was a hard pill tp swallow. This was more than just failing; they lost a member in the process.
Crystal was utterly scared. The other dragon slayers were confused. And the whole guild mourned. After some completely silent weeks, Crystal requested a search go out. A body was never found. To her, that was all the hope she needed. Master approved and they were on the move.
It had been months. No sight. No trace. Things were looking close to giving up. There were no sightings, no rumours, that was it. It was hard to deal with.
One very early morning, Mira was getting ready for the morning when she heard the door open. "Um sorry, we're not open." The trench coat figure kept walking and took a seat at the bar, tilting its hat even more. Mira huffed and went over to disobedient patron. "Excuse me, but you have to leave. We-," she gasped when she saw the person's face.
The figure smiled as it revealed the identity. "Hey, Mirajane. What's up?"
It was a like flood, no a migration. All of Fairy Tail either ran from their homes, their missions, or wherever to come back to the guild. Jade Blueshepherd was back. And those reunions, ha, they were as lively as ever. "Jade's back!" The guid seemed to continuously cheer out of such shock. It was like a miracle. This was definitely a day to go down in history. Jade smiled and laughed as Mira caught her up on allmnthe gossip (seems as if Gajeel and Levy are dating), but everyone remembered when Crystal finally came.
The Exceed walked in and stopped in her tracks when she saw the girl. "Jade?" The dragon slayer waved. "Jade!" She cheered. They ran towards each other, and Jade somehow ended up a tripping and began rolling until she caught her partner into a hug.
"Crystal! Hey buddy!" Jade looked down and saw her necklace. "Hey you still have it."
The Exceed nodded. "Never too it off, but I think those dragons made sure the spells only effected you." They rubbed her head against the girl's chest. She then paused and pushed herself of Jade. "Wait a sec, I'm not hugging you! I'm pissed! Where the hell have you been Jade Blueshepherd! Do you know what you've done to me?" She hissed as she returned the necklace.
Jade sighed. "Well, I'll give you the short version. I ended up being pushed through the walls from the explosion. It took me a long while to recover and the Magic Council kept me in for interrogation. It was all a long process. I finally just made my way back." She giggled.
Soon, the guild doors opened up. "So the Beast is back! Give me rematch girly!" Gajeel snickered.
Jade quickly stood. "Kurogane! Let's go."
"No, I still have to fight her." Natsu retorted.
She laughed. "I'll take you both on." She smirked.
"Hey you brats! Take it outside!" Makarov exclaimed in a drunken state.
The guild rushed outside. Jade laughed. "Don't assume I haven't gotten stronger. I'm ready to dance bonus."
Lucy sighed. "She just got here and we're already fighting."
Levy giggled. "It's cute. Jade is apart of Fairy Tail. This is how we are."
"Jade, you better kick some ass." Crystal cheered.
Lily chuckled. "We're doing this again? Of seems like yesterday that Jade was taking on Gajeel."
"Let's bet." Happy said.
"No." Lily and Crystal answered at once.
Jade laughed. "You first boys."
Gajeel cracked his knuckles. "Let's go."
Natsu did the same. "I'm fired up." And then, they were on the move.
