AN: Sorry. This one is short and just plot, really. I hope you enjoy anyway.

"They don't have kids?"

"Ahhh," Shawn began to roll around on the bed, "Grrr-gahhhh."

"Shawn, are you okay?"

"The spirits," Shawn put his fingers to his head, "Ahh. They're yelling at me because I misunderstood them! I can see it clearly now, it's not Merrygrove! It's his wife! Merrygrove doesn't even know that she has been around here."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes," he gasped.

"Why," Juliet asked.

"I-I don't know."

"Mr. Spencer," Chief interrupted, "Just because things don't add up with her, doesn't mean she's guilty. You can keep an eye on her, but keep your options open. If there's no motive and no proof, there's no case. I have to go. Detective Lassiter is about to murder the temporary reassignment. I'll call you if we find anything new. And call me if you get anywhere."

"Will do."

Just then Shawn's phone rang, and he looked at it, "Hey, I have to take this."

"Okay," Juliet replied as Shawn headed for the balcony."

"Abby?"

"Shawn, I'm sorry I blew up at you the other day. I-I was just really jealous. The truth is, I really don't want to fight. I just want you back here, with me. I miss you."

"You know, Abz, it really is my fault. It's not fair of me to ask you to be alright with all of this, you know, pretending to be married to other women and stuff."

"Shawn, right now it doesn't even matter. I just want you home. How much longer will it be?"

"We're really close, I know who it is, I just don't have a motive or how."

"Just hurry."

"Tell that to the spirits."

Abigail laughed, "I would, but you're the psychic."

"Oh, right," Shawn smiled, "So, tell me about your day."

….

"Hey Shawn, is everything all right?"

"Yeah. That was Abby, she apologized."

"Oh," Juliet replied as she tried not to show how disappointed she was.

"So," Shawn looked down at his shoes, trying to shove all the confusion about his emotions out of his mind, "Let's brainstorm about the ex-wife."

"Okay," Juliet inhaled, happy that the subject changed.

"What could be her motive?"

"Can't the spirits tell you that?"

"No, I need to talk to her to be able to get a complete reading on her."

"How are we going to do that?"

"Do you trust me?"

"Yeah," Juliet was surprised how quickly that came out.

"Do you have your gun?"

"It's in my purse."

"Then grab your purse, and let's go for a night stroll."

"Shawn, it's past curfew."

"Jules, haven't you ever sneaked out before?"

"No."

"Of course not. Well, Jules, rules are meant to be broken."

"What's that supposed to mean? And again Shawn, I think you forget that I'm a cop, rules are my way of life."

"Well for tonight, you are Juliet Spencer, kindergarten teacher, sneaking off to the woods to canoodle with her husband."

"Canoodle? Really Shawn?"

"Let's go!"

AN: Like I said, super short. I'll have the next update up in a couple days... as long as I don't forget again (I've been crazy busy). Review please!
