Chapter 5

The four Death Eaters thought they had this in the bag. That it couldn't be hard bringing in three kids in their late teens, but they soon realized the error of their ways. A very protective vampire friend was upon one of the masked men that was close to Charlie. Kathryn nails went into the man's neck making his blood spew everywhere as she took the grown man down.

Charlie scooted into the wall from the shock of the attack and the blood that was even sprayed on her face. The other three Death Eaters rounded on Kathryn raising their wands to her causing Charlie and Nathan to act now. Charlie grabbed hold of a wrist of one man pulling him in as she brought her knee up sharply into his gut. Followed by attacking the top of his back with her elbow knocking him to the floor and then kicked his wand out of his reach.

Nathan football tackled the other two to the floor before they used any curse on Kathryn. He did his best to avoid getting hit by one of the men but wasn't fast enough to avoid the other. One managed to roll from him and pointed his wand at Nathan, "Stupefy!"

Kathryn gave the man a death glare as Nathan fell to the floor. She bared her fangs with a growl getting his attention before she lunged at him.

There was suddenly a bright flash of light as the door burst inward, flooding the room with light. The intense brightness caused Kathryn to reel back as it hurt her sensitive eyes. An old wizard stepped into the room and glanced around at the children before him. The remaining death eaters were frozen in place as if time itself had ceased around them. "Well now," the man started calmly as he spotted the dead man on the floor, "You certainly held up much better than I expected but I am still glad to have arrived when I did."

One of the death eaters snapped out of it and raised his wand to Dumbledore, "Avad-" He suddenly to a punch to the groin from Charlie.

"Don't ruin the moment" she hissed the death eater.

The last one figured it was time to go and ditched is remaining pals leaving the scene as a cloud of smoke.

The old wizard glanced back over his shoulder as the death eater vanished into the street, "It would seem they are not all as foolish as they seem." He knelt down and removed the curse from the boy, "Now is not the time to be lying down my son, it is not safe here for ones such as you."

Nathan groaned and glared at the girls, "did i mention i hate this place. well i hate this place."

Charlie helped Kathryn to her feet once the vampire got her senses back. She held out her hand with a nervous smile, "its.. its an honor to meet you Professor Dumbledore."

Kathryn nodded quickly, "yes it is."

Dumbledore accepted her hand with a smile and shook it gently, "As it is an honor to meet you as well. If I am not mistaken you must be , Charlie."

Charlie blinked, "you.. you know me?"

"I do not know you but I have come to know of you," clarified the wizard, "Word had reached me that you and your friends might be in this realm. I understand that you are an important person who might be in need of the aid of an old man like me."

Charlie made a face when she realized what he was saying, "youuuu talked to Inca didn't you."

"I did indeed," Dumbledore nodded. He smiled weakly, "She came in search of you and your friends, seemed quite concerned about the three of you. I offered my assistance in looking for you." He chuckled and turned towards the door, "And luckily for me I found you just in time. Come along, as I said this place is no longer safe."

Nathan got to his feet, "yeah.. but just how mad was Inca when you spoke to her?"

The old wizard seemed to think a moment, "I would say more worried than angry. Honestly I do not blame her for showing concern over her young ones. We will keep the death eater attack between the four of us for now."

"Thanks" Kathryn smiled weakly, "she's already going to yell us."

Charlie nodded, "yeah.. we should go."

"Agreed, i'm ready to be safe and no offense to you sir, but i'm ready to leave this world" replied Nathan.

"None taken," Dumbledore nodded to the young man, "This world of ours has become quite the dangerous place as of late. You are wise to leave it before more trouble finds you." He looked forward again with a smile, "I shall take you to Hogwarts for the moment, it is the safest place I know of at the moment."

The two girls perked up instantly and squealed at the same time, "Hogwarts! Really!"

Nathan cut his eyes at them as he wiggled his finger in his ear.

Charlie cleared her throat, "sorry.. uh. yeah lets go please."

Dumbledore chuckled as he turned suddenly into a hidden alley, "Your excitement is understandable and also flattering. I always look forward to showing off the school to those who are interested."

The three of them followed close to the old man. Charlie couldn't help but glance over her shoulder feeling like they were still being watched. "so.. uh.. its safe to assume that Voldemort knows about us then?" charlie asked him.

Nathan raised an eyebrow, "what kinda of name is Volda-Voldarmot"

"Voldemort" Kathryn growled at Nathan correcting him.

"He's a very bad guy in this world and powerful" Charlie replied to Nathan, "think like.. the Darth Sidious in this world."

Nathan made a face, "ohhhh.. thats great."

Dumbledore reached into his sleeve and took hold of his wand, "I fear you are correct my dear. The rumors about your being here did not come to me from Inca alone. I have heard disturbing whispers that he searches for you but for what purpose I am uncertain." He turned to them with a serious look, "Stay close to me and I will do all I can to protect you until you leave but for now...let us go to Hogwarts."

Charlie looked to the old wizard, "wait.. how are we getting there?"

Kathryn grinned, "this is going to be fun."

Dumbledore slowly revealed his wand along with a small pouch of strange powder, "Simple my dear." He opened the small pouch and took just a pinch of the powder between his fingers, "I am going to transport us there with a spell." He flicked his wrist suddenly, dropping the powder which became a large cloud of smoke that engulfed them all instantly. After a few whispered words the smoke began to dissipate and the group found themselves standing in the main entrance of the grand school.

The three of them stood with Dumbledore looking up at the large school with very wide eyes.

"K-Kathryn.. can you make sure i'm really seeing this" Charlie breathed.

"its real friend. Very real." Kathryn nodded.
