So this is the last Chapter before the epilogue, which I will have as soon as I write it.

Chapter Sixteen

The knock on the door jarred Hermione out of a deep sleep. She rolled to her side and shook the warm body beside her.

"Ron... Ronald..." she grumbled, resisting the sun pouring through the window. "Ronald, go answer the door."

When he didn't budge, she sighed and resigned to waking up. Begrudgingly, she pulled on her light pink nightgown and hauled her robe over top of it. Rubbing her eyes with one hand, she pulled the door open. Harry stood on the other side, looking puzzled at her.

"Geeze Harry," she mumble, "what are you doing here?"

"I thought I'd see if you guys wanted to get some lunch." he said, still waiting to be invited inside.

"Lunch?" Hermione repeated, puzzled. "What time is it?" Her eyes skimmed the apartment, looking for the clock.

"Nearly half past eleven." He answered. "Have you guys not been out of bed yet?"

"'Mione," Ron called, making his way from the bedroom, "where'd you go? Is someone here?" He rubbed his eyes and spotted Harry "Oh hey, mate. How's it going?"

"What's with you two? You're never asleep this late."

"Late night." Ron answered through a yawn.

Harry looked from Ron to Hermione. "You two were out all night?" he asked skeptically.

"Yeah, well, most of it." Hermione answered.

"Doing what?"

Hermione looked to Ron, unsure of how to answer.

"Er, well Gin and Malfoy invited us to a Chuddley Cannons match last night." Ron said, his voice quick and shaky.

Harry's eyes narrowed slightly at the name. "You were out with Malfoy?" he spat. "Honestly Ron, how could you hang around that slimy little git."

"He's not so bad, mate. He's changed a lot since we last saw him. I think he really loves Gin."

"Malfoy doesn't know how to love anyone but himself!" Harry growled. "I can't believe you're letting her date him."

"We aren't letting her do anything." Hermione piped in. "She'd be with him regardless of how we feel. We're just giving her some support. It's the least we can do, after all."

"What do you mean 'the least you can do'? Why should you owe that ferret anything?"

"We don't owe Draco a thing. I was talking about Ginny. You nearly ruined her life after that little show you put on, showing up drunk and mad at her house." Hermione snapped at him.

"I nearly ruined her life?" Harry almost shouted. "I was trying to save her life! That little-"

"Enough Harry!" Ron growled, cutting him off. "We get that you don't like Malfoy but we've gotten past that. He's not the prat he was in school!"

Harry stared coolly at the two people who had been his best friends since he was eleven.

"Look mate, you're my best friend. You're like a brother to me. You helped me through a tough time after Fred died, saved my relationship with Mione more times than I can count whenever I did something stupid. I don't want this to be the thing that ruins it all but you've got to accept that Malfoy is here to stay."

Silently, Harry spared one last glare at the two of them before storming off.

Ginny rubbed her eyes groggily, rolling over on her bed. When she collided with the hard body next to her, her eyes opened slowly, a smiling playing across her face. The blond figure next to her stirred.

"Morning," She mumbled dreamily.

"Mmm," he sighed, "morning Gin."

"Sleep well?"

"Mmm... I could use a potion to get rid of this hangover."

Ginny smiled. "That was a bit of a crazy night, wasn't it?"

"Mmhmm."

"How about I show you how grateful I am for it?"

Draco grinned and pulled her to him. Ginny grinned and leaned in to press her lips to his, her hair falling to curtain her face. Her lips were inches from his when there was a knock on the door.

Draco groaned when Ginny slowly crawled off of him. "Come on babe, whoever it is will go away. You don't have to answer that."

She laughed as she slipped on her nightgown and robe. "No, Drake, it might be important."

Ginny tied her robe off and blew a kiss to him before walking out of the room. She opened the door and saw Harry staring back at her.

"What do you want, Harry?" she asked, crossing her arms. "I hope you aren't here to start any more problems."

"I didn't, Gin, I swear. I just came to talk. Is it okay if I come in?"

Ginny hesitated before stepping back slightly. "I suppose."

Harry stepped cautiously into the apartment. The room looked the same as it had the last time he had been here. "Look Gin, I-"

"Ginevra?" Draco called, appearing from the hallway. "What's going-?" His eyes landed on Harry and narrowed. "Potter. What are you doing here?"

"Calm down, Malfoy. I'm not here to start problems."

"Then I'll ask again. What are you going here Potter?"

Harry turned to Ginny and took a deep breath. "Look Gin, I love you." He held up his hands when she opened her mouth to interrupt. "Let me finish, please." Ginny nodded hesitantly. "I love you Gin, but I understand now that you don't feel the same way. Just tell me, is this what you want? You want to be with Malfoy?"

"It is Harry. I love Draco and being with him makes me happy."

Harry nodded. "Alright. Then I guess I'll have to learn to live with it." He turned to Draco. "Look Malfoy, I know we don't like each other but if you make Gin happy, then I'm willing to try and put the past behind us. I don't want to lose my friendship with Gin or Ron and Mione over this."

Draco looked to Ginny before his eyes went back to Harry. "Alright Potter. I know Ginevra doesn't want to lose you as a friend either so I suppose I can try to put this behind us too." He reached out and shook Harry's hand. "But I'm telling you Potter, any more funny business and I'll hex you into Azkaban."

Harry nodded silently, turning back to Ginny. "I'm sorry Gin. I've put you through hell and it wasn't fair to you. Can you forgive me?"

"It's gonna take time Harry. But I'll try." She smiled and hugged him.
