Previously in Half Blood High~~

And then everything went in slow motion.

Percy saw Luke kiss Annabeth.

And he felt his heart break a little.

Annabeth pulled back, eyes wide and mouth opened. She felt her cheeks flush as she quickly looked away from Luke.

"Is…is this okay?' Luke asked tentatively in his low, caring voice. Annabeth felt like she heard regret.

"Yeah. Um. Sure." With all her courage, she looked up at Luke's handsome face. She found his scar under his eye, his sharp brow ridge and his pale thin lips. And his clear blue eyes. They were glistening from the reflection of the stars.

"I thought you liked me…" Luke bit his lip. "You still liked me, right?"

Annabeth thought for a second. She had liked Luke for as long as she could remember… and Percy…. Percy had Rachel. She gave him a tentative nod.

And then his lips met hers again. But to Annabeth, it felt wrong.

"Oh, gods." Rachel said, turning away from the window. She watched Percy turn fast and back away from the window. Then he pushed through the crowd. Sighing, Rachel followed him.

"Percy." She found him in the corner with his eyes shut tight and his lips pressed into a line. She put her hand on his back. "You like Annabeth, don't you?" Rachel softly said.

Percy looked at her, his nose flared and his eyes flashing. "No! I just-I just think he's bad for her!"

Rachel felt tempted to roll her eyes. "Why? He's hot and they're friends anyway."

"Grover warned me. Luke's a womanizer. And then he tosses them away like trash." Percy groaned at her. "I don't want to see Annabeth get hurt." His voice rising at each word. Rachel gave him a tight hug.

"Come on. Let's get a drink and cool down, alright?" Rachel gave him a flat smile and tried to usher him towards the crowd.

"You know what? I'm just gunna leave." Percy muttered and turned and left the door. Rachel sighed and watched his retreating figure.

Later at the party~

Annabeth was trapped. She was practically glued by the hip to Luke. His hand was pressed against her back… and she let it stay there all night. As the new couple moved around the party, Annabeth tried to look for Percy over the sea of heads.

"Annabeth!" She heard a voice call. And when she turned, it was Rachel.

"Um. Hi. Where's Percy?" Annabeth asked, trying not to sound too snarky. "I figured you two would be together all night."

"He, uh, left." Rachel's brows subtly rose. She could sense some hostility. "How're you and Luke?"

"Why'd he leave?" Annabeth dodged the question.

"Fantastic." Luke smirked and pulled Annabeth even tighter towards him then dipped his head down to make kisses along her neck. She wanted to squirm away. He was way too close.

Rachel wrinkled her nose.

"He didn't want to stay anymore. He wasn't feeling good."

Annabeth felt sad. Percy left without a goodbye. 'I guess he really doesn't like me… whatever. He has Red over here to keep him company.'

The next day at school, Percy tried to avoid Annabeth at all costs.

"Dude, what the Hades is up with you and Annabeth?" Grover questioned at the lockers.

"Nothing man! I don't have to be with her 24/7 you know!"

"Yo! Don't get so defensive bro. All I asked was what's going on?" Grover put both hands up. "Clearly, you like her but something's wrong."

"Dude. I don't wanna talk about it." Percy rolled his head back.

"Well. I saw her an Luke earlier… And they were pretty chummy. I mean, chummier than usual and that's like—"

"I know I know I KNOW." Percy glared at Grover. "She and Luke hooked up at the party."

"Annabeth told me you and Rachel Dare got together. Why didn't you tell me Red was in town? I would've said hi." Grover sheepishly said.

"What? Grover. Rachel and I are NOT happening."

"Obviously. She's like, smokin' hot!" Grover laughed.

"Seriously. But Annabeth and Luke are an item now. And I saw them making out last night, okay? I don't want to talk to her about it. I don't want to talk about any of it." Percy grabbed his books and headed towards his class, leaving Grover to catch up.

OKAY GUYS. Sorry for a super late entry but it's finally here!

Currently at school I'm reading Julius Caesar. Bleh. Actually it's alright haha.
