Grover texted Annabeth.

Underwoodland: A, u ok?

Me: ehhhhhh

Underwoodland: Percy told me that you basically ran away

Me: eh

Underwoodland: cmon girl. U can tell me. Whats up with u 2

Me: ok actually what is the deal with P and Rachel?

Underwoodland: o man, I think you should just talk to percy about this yo okay?

Me: eh

Underwoodland: in fact, I'll tell him to call you right now

Annabeth stopped breathing. No. Crap. Crap. Crao. Noooooooo. She screamed silently in her head.

'FML'

Within 20 minutes, there was a knock on Annabeth's door.

Shiz.

Annabeth made a mental note to punch Grover.

"Percy." Annabeth said, her mouth in a thin line as she opened the door for the handsome green-eyed boy.

"Hey, um, Grover said you wanted to talk to me?" Percy said nervously. "What's wrong? You were pretty weird today."

"Yeah um. Nothing's wrong. I'm just feeling weird about something…. With my mother… yeah. My mom's been bothering me." Annabeth said unconvincingly. Percy arched his brows. "Seriously Perce, nothings wrong. Okay?"

"Annabeth…" Percy frowned, walking closer to her. Annabeth took a step back.

"No. Percy. It's late. I need to really study anyway. Chem test in three days. I'll see you tomorrow in class."

Then she lightly pushed him out and closed the door.

Why am I such a biatch? Annabeth said to herself.

But then again… maybe Athena was right…. Ugh. What if Percy really IS bad news. Please…. Please please no.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

"Bye babe."

"Okay… I'll see ya tomorrow."

Nico grabbed Thalia by the waist and leaned down, crashing their lips together. Thalia smiled into the kiss. To think that just a couple months ago she hated the idea of him.

"Okay. Seriously. Go away Nico. I need my beauty sleep."

"Fine." Nico whined. Then he kissed her again and left."

Thalia couldn't help the loony smile that had crept onto her face.

"You guys are so cute together!" Junipers said., walking out of a room in green matching pajama tops and bottoms.

"Oh my gods. Juniper! I'm so sorry. I thought you were asleep." Thalia said, her mouth going into an 'o'.

"No worries." Juniper smiled sleepily. "I had a feeling you'd get together… it's destiny."

"So what about you and G-man?" Thalia wiggled her eyebrows, smiling hard.

"I think he's a poo. He's too shy! Why can't he just make a move…" Juniper sighed. "How did you and Nico get together?"

-Flashback-

"Oh my gods Nico! Shut up!" Thalia screeched, running to the windows by the gym.

"Stop screaming! Gods! You're so annoying." Nico retorted. "You're so mean, everyone hates you! You're a horrible person."

Thalia got extremely red in the face and then she burst into tears.

"Wait! I'm sorry! Thalia! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. I didn't mean it!" Nico sputtered. He was so scared when girls cried.

Thalia crumpled onto the ground and Nico rushed over.

"Thalia! I'm so sorry!" Nico said, holding her.

"I'm so sorry I'm mean to you Nico…." Thalia sputtered. "It's just—It's just…"

"Shhhh…. It's okay. You can tell me later." Nico whispered, caressing Thalia. "And um… this is weird."

"Way to ruin the moment, freak." Thalia laughed.

Nico walked Thalia over to the bleachers and sat her down and waited until her tears ran out.

"Okay, so…" Thalia said awkwardly. "I've just been keeping things in for too long. "

Nico nodded encouragingly.

"When my mother left me and my brother, I didn't cry because I had to stay strong for Jason. And then Jason moved in with our step mother and I came here. Dad was always too busy being the principal and not my father… and I rarely saw Jason because he was sent to that Roman School…"

"Well I'm glad he's moving back here." Nico said gently, pushing a strand of Thalia's hair out of her face.

"Me too… but you know… there's more. I mean… Luke's death. He was my friend during those hard family times…. He was there for me… and then when I lost him… I…" Thalia felt tears well up in her eyes.

"My mother was killed by a mafia when Bianca and I were young. I was three, so I barely remember… But Bianca was old enough. We witnessed the crime… and it's always been hard for us. " Nico related. "Loosing someone you loose really sucks… I totally get it."

Thalia nodded and hugged Nico, but she didn't pull away.

"You know how I was shipped off to some boarding school for girls in Europe right?" Thalia started again.

"That's what I heard." Nico said.

"I was sent because I got into drugs and all that depressing crap. And I became this troubled child who was always on probation or fighting her family or getting high in some random street corner. So then when Annabeth found out, she freaked out and told the counselors. I was so mad at her at first… but when I was gone, I realized how lucky I was to have someone in my life who finally cared. And maybe that's all I was looking for all this time… someone who loved me." The words came pouring out of Thalia's mouth.

Nico looked at her with new eyes. "Wow…You're being so honest with me."

"I'm sorry I was so mean to you." Thalia giggled. "I don't actually hate you…. That much. You're pretty cool, Nico."

And then Nico kissed her on the cheek. "I know."

"You always ruin the moment you know?" Thalia smiled.

"Thalia…"

"Yeah, dork?"

Nico smiled.

"Since you just told me all that… stuff… Can I tell you something?" He said quietly.

"Yeah sure." Thalia said just as quietly.

"I think… I think I like you." Nico said, looking away, his hair dangling over his dark beautiful eyes.

Thalia sat for a second, then quietly reached out her hand and took his face in her hands and slowly pressed her lips against his.

Nico smelled of Armani and aftershave. It wasn't what Thalia had expected as her hands crept into his long dark hair. She felt his eyelashes flutter against hers and the feeling of his semi-chapped lips against her soft ones. They felt as if every crook and crease of them fit with each other, as if they were made for one another.

"Can we… can we just keep us a secret for now?" Thalia said, pulling back, resting her forehead against Nico's. "It's more fun you know." A playful smile drawing onto her face.

"Whenever you're ready." And he kissed her again.

-End of Flashback-

"Oh gods. And you didn't do anything except kiss on those bleachers though right?" Juniper said with a look of concern. "I don't want to sit on them ever again if it was more!"

"Calm down Juniper!" Thalia laughed. "I'm not the same girl I was before I left."

She sure wasn't.

Nico smiled brightly as he walked through the doors of his dorm, thinking about Thalia. Gods she was adorable with her shortness and her feisty sassy energy.

But his smile fell when he saw Percy sitting sadly, staring out the window. Wow. Thalia was right. Percy was cheesy.

"What's up, bro?" Nico said, patting Percy's broad shoulders.

"Annabeth, man. I don't understand girls sometimes." Percy said, turning to look at Nico. "We were happily chatting and then after a while she looked really upset and wanted to go home."

"What?"

"Yeah. We were walking to the Shake Shack together and we were like flirty and that kind of stuff and then Rachel came and we talked and then Annabeth looked sick and when we got our drinks she said she wanted to go home. It was weird man." Percy sighed.

"Wait. Rachel?" Nico said loudly. "Rachel Elizabeth Dare?"

"Yeah dude. What about it?"

"Does Annabeth even know? About Rachel?" Nico said laughing.

"Know what?" Percy looked so confused. "Oh, shiz. She doesn't! That's why? Oh gods… I need to talk to her."

Percy ran his ran across his face. Dang. Girls are so annoying.
