I cannot apologise enough for the delay in getting this chapter up, just when I was getting back into the swing of things another bombshell hit and knocked me for six. Basically the last few months have been about having a whole load of crap dumped on me and the ones I love so yeah, not exactly the most conductive to the writing process unless it's all about a big fight, which I could do! I am unsure about this chapter which is why it's shorter than my last updates so more apologies again guys I'm sorry I will do what I can to keep going but I'm really struggling with day to day life let alone writing so please be patient the updates may well be really slow and far between, i'm so sorry

I left you on a cliffhanger as well which is inexcusable. this is what happened at the end of chap 10 if uv forgotten:

Jane stepped outside and smacked into someone, the figure turned to face her and they both stared at one another in shock. "You."

Jane stared at the figure with disgust before turning her back and beginning to walk away.

"I'm looking for my fiancé. I appear to have...misplaced her."

Jane's steps faltered at Garrett's slimy voice and she couldn't pass up the opportunity "Oh dear that was careless of you." She turned her back to him once more.

"Have you seen her?"

Jane turned back and stepped back as she found him directly behind her "No." She spat the word in his smug face but her eyes widened as he reached into his pocket and pulled out more money than she had ever seen all at once. She dragged her eyes up to his self assured gaze. A battle began to rage inside of Jane; the last thing she wanted was to help him, at the same time she was desperate and that amount of money could really help her Ma. She didn't like Garrett and she knew Maura must have run away for a reason but she had betrayed her, taken her spot at the club and kept it from her even when they hung out together. Not for the first time when it came to money and Garrett Jane's stomach churned and she swallowed down the self hatred and bile as she snatched the money out of his hand. "Follow me."

Maura left the club that evening feeling nostalgic, she only had a couple of nights left and it was odd just how normal this life had become to her. She swallowed hard as she thought about having to face Garrett, no doubt he would be angrier than she had ever seen before but there was no running from that she had to see him. As she put her keys in her front door she thought back to all the new people she had met and how she might never see any of them again. She made a mental note to leave Jane a note when she left her the money; she had decided to give it to Korsak, he was an older gentleman who ran the security team and since working there he had been incredibly kind to her and he spoke of Jane so fondly that she knew she could trust him with this task and could rely on his discretion. She stepped into her apartment and gasped.

"Hello darling. Love what you've done with the place! Really...um...vintage retro? Shabby chic? I don't know sweetie how would you describe it? Hideous?"

Maura felt herself begin to tremble as she heard the dangerous edge in his voice. "Why are you here?" Her voice betrayed her nerves and came out more confident than she could ever have imagined.

"Why to rescue you my sweet from your secret life of debauchery."

Garrett's super sweet tone was at odds with the dark look in his eyes and as he stood up from her couch Maura struggled to stand her ground and not back off from him. "What are you talking about? How did you find me?"

Garrett walked over and placed his hands either side of Maura's face and looked directly into her eyes "That doesn't matter. What matters is that there a lot of people expecting us to get married very soon and I am not about to disappoint them." He bent his head to kiss her and felt her stiffen under his touch "Now darling what did you expect? You've been out there living the Pretty Woman life, and just like the film you're rich handsome suitor is taking you away from the filth." He tightened his grip and forcefully kissed her "Whether you like it or not."

Jane went to the club the next night ready to work but exhausted; she had tossed and turned all night long over what she had done, what if Garrett hurt Maura? She tried to stop her brain ticking over telling herself that she didn't care but it didn't work. As she stepped into the club she could hear the furious raised voice that belonged to Cavanaugh. She followed the screaming into his office and was confronted by his red angry face. "What's up Cav?"

"Marie, whatever you want to call her is a no show! No word, no nothing!"

Jane felt her guilt biting at her but she shrugged and kept her face blank "Oh well, maybe she'd had enough. I can fill her spot. Be just like the old days."

Cavanaugh shook his head furiously and yelled a name Jane didn't recognise and into the office walked a guy so big he barely fit through the doorway. "Go look for Ms Franklin, Marie. She might be using the name Isles, Maura Isles."

Jane stared at the two men in horror as the hulk gravely nodded at his boss "Whoa! Wait a sec Cav, just give it up! Let her go, I'm back now, who cares about her?"

"I do. I paid that little bitch in advance Rizzoli, I don't piss money and now she owes me. I told her what would happen if she walked." He gave a nod to the giant who turned and left.

Jane felt panic begin to set in. What have I done? "Come on Cav, it's not a big deal!"

"No one takes the piss outta me and gets to walk away." He glared at her with dangerous eyes "Now get ready Rizzoli, you're on at 11."

Jane tried to get ready but she couldn't stop her brain from ticking over. What if he has hurt her? What if the hulk gets to her? This is all my fault. She got out her phone and hastily dialled "Tommy? I need your help again."
