Hey people! I just learnt that in the real book of Rise of the guardians there is also a girl named Katherine, that has grey eyes -.- (Why destiny?) So I like to clarify that this Katherine is comepletely made by me :).
It was certainly funny how just some minutes made him fell how he was felling, uncontrollable happiness, butterflies in his stomach and the worse of all, that same idiotic smile on his face, he was flying to whoknowswhere, but for some reason he expected to find any of his partners, he felt so proud and good about himself from creating another light and finding that special girl that he HAD to talk about it.
His face was with a wide smile as he flew far away from the neighbourhood, but when he thought about what he was actually supposed to say to the other guardians he freezed, such irony isn't it? Jack knew he really needed back up, sure, Manny did kind of told him something, but as there were no witnesses it was impossible to convince his friends about it, he had to persuade his partners that Katherine was really special and somehow she was meant to him, or was he to her?
-"Tooth!"- He said out loud abruptly interrupting his flying, the winter spirit started to fall from the sky, literally, but as Jack had passed through this many other times he didn't panicked at all -"Tooth... Yeah! She's all sensitive and stuff, if I can get her at my side she will support me"- with a triumphant smile he noticed he was falling quite fast and the ground was dangerously close, (yeah he's immortal, but still a bit was a hit) with a single movement of his staff the wind raised him up to the sky once more.
His pale's face was hit by the wind for some hours before reaching Tooth's palace, every time Jack went there he became really absorbed by the magical view he received, the sun shining right at the giant golden pillars as the small colourful fairies work and fly everywhere, it didn't took long before the queen of those fairies noticed the young guy floating on the distance, her pink eyes cheered with joy and a warm smile appeared on her face as she flew towards him.
-Jack! Is so great to have you back!- she said with a too much enthusiasm as she opened the young man's mouth with her fingers -It's really good to see you too- he answered in a surprised tone and an awkward smile, but as soon as he had a chance he discreetly moved back from her a few inches -Well... Tooth I have a dilemma, kind of -.
-Oh! I'm an expert on dilemmas, just tell me what's your problem- The female took Jack's hand and cheerfully dragged him to her castle, inside the colourful structure that composed her palace, she began to fly faster an faster, dodging in an amazing way every corner, plant or fairy until they both arrived to a significantly thicker pillar, that specific place was slightly lonelier that the rest of the palace, Toothiana slowly touched the tower, looked at every direction and with a small giggle pushed a green circle that was "painted" on it, a small metallic click sounded and the tower stretched downwards, revealing a entrance to some sort of tunnel.
Tooth was almost dancing from emotion, just like a child -It's been a lot since I came here- she confessed in a whisper, with her hand she told Jack to follow her and halfway of what it seemed as spiral stairs she let out a small scream of emotion, thing that startled the young guardian, finally, a large golden door decorated with different gems appeared in front of them -I'm pretty sure I haven't showed you this yet- the tooth fairy say with a wide smile -You're gonna love it!-.
With a single push from her small hand the door slowly opened, even though the stairwell was dark the room they just had entered was bright, clear and much colourful, it was like another little world -I made some decorations- The tooth fairy said with a smile -Apparently my ancestors where really good at hiding stuff... So what's your problem huhm?-.
In the center of the hidden room there was a large world, similar to North's but this was made completely from white marble and the kids where represented by a light pink glow, it's base was made from gold, just like the door, and it was decorated with gems too, mostly rubies, water was flowing from some holes in the roof and it finished around the base of the world, a large golden couch with dark purple cushions was facing some windows where the sun (or the moon) entered perfectly.
Tooth just flew to the couch, laid down on it and waited until the young man finished looking at the improved control room, after some good minutes the winter guardian landed on the couch too -Your dilemma was?- Tooth asked with a sleepy smile -Well...- Jack said as a deep blush covered his face -I met someone-.
-OH GOD!- Toothiana quickly stood of the couch and started to maniacally fly around the room.
-What?! Tooth, calm down!-.
-This is huge! Is it the annoying girl that controls the rain?!-.
-Haha, no she isn't-.
-Is it a boy? Don't get me wrong, if it's a boy I would totally...-.
-What?! Noo! It IS a girl-.
-Oh... Then who?-
-Well... I met her at Burgess-.
-Great! Wait... I didn't knew there was another spirit there...-
-...There isn't...-
Tooth froze, the memorie's guardian slowly reached the couch, sat on it and grabbed Jack's hands and as calmed as possible she said -Jack, please... Answer me, how old is she?-
-She's 17-
-And how old are you?-
-I'm 19- he said with a triumphant smile, but as he saw that Tooth's concern face didn't changed his smile faded away.
-And from how long you've been 18?-.
-302 years- he whispered, facing to the ground
-And you'll stay that way... Years will pass and she'll be 18, 19, 20, 25, 40 and you... You'll stay 18... There's no way this can't end up in tragedy... In every direction you end up alone and she... She ends up dead, Sooner or later, there's no way of knowing if she can come back as a guardian, but the best is to not find out the hard way-.
Tooth approached the guy sitting right in front of her, but as she reached his face her heart broke into thousands of pieces, but she couldn't hide him the truth -It's hard- she said softly as she placed her small hands on top of the slighter bigger and colder ones of Jack -Look at me Frosty... Please?-.
He glanced upwards a small second, just enough to look at Tooth's gorgeous eyes without falling for her puppy eyes -I'm just trying to help you, sadness is worse if you live all the eternity-.
A small sound came out from Jack's mouth as he looked to the floor, he couldn't actually say any real word, but slowly remembered how to talk normally -But... It sounds stupid but. I know she's special. I know it-
Tooth continued to stare at him, her purple eyes trying to find a sign of acceptance in the boy's face, but still saddness was the only thing that filled his eyes -First of all Jack, can she see you?- she said in a mocking voice, like trying to show him how stupid he was for falling into someone who couldn't even notice his presence, but as the young guardian nodded his head she couldn't articulate a word.
-Come on Jack, don't joke with that- she said with a trembling giggle -That's impossible. She's 17 right?-
-Of course she is!- he said with indignation -I'm not a pedo you know... I lit the light, her light yesterday, like at 10 P.M. you know- the corners of his mouth bent, forming his old flirty smile as his head remembered the small talk he had with Katherine -I guess that gives me some kind of record isn't it?-
Tooth tried really hard to not change her face, or show any emotion similar to happiness at all, but those efforts where in vain, soon in her face appeared her usual bright smile and she found herself almost jumping of joy -JACK! That's so amazing, random and sweet I think I got caries just from hearing you! Do?... Do the rest of the guardians know about her?-
-No...- He answered, turning his face once more to the floor.
-Oh-
"Well..." Tooth thought for herself "He has a chance... Maybe, just maaaybe this can turn out to be good, right?" -Look Jack. I.. I think I might help you to... To inform the other guys... Alright?- Toothiana said trying to hold her emotions and show her serious side, but it wasn't possible for her yet, the fairy queen burst into little screams of joy and flew several times inside the hall until finally turning to Jack and adding -Let's make a meeting here!-
Jack waited as Toothiana asked 3 of her fairies to call Sandman, North and Bunnymund, he had to get his ideas clear, not even a month had passed since he first found her, and not even a day since they first talked, but hey! They did talked and that was amazing from anyway you looked, he stood nervously staring at the window of the pillar waiting for anyone to appear, suddenly a golden plane appeared from the distance and Jack relaxed a little, it wasn't North, who usually is the one that supports him in this kind of stuff, but it wasn't Bunny neither and that is really good.
Sandman knocked on the golden door some minutes after Jack saw him through the window and as Tooth oppened it signs started to float faster than ever over his head and his face showed that he was really worried about something -Calm down Sandy... I must have overreacted a little bit with that call- she said while petting his head.
Jack approached them and was ready to open his mouth and tell everything to Sandy, but Tooth interrupted him with a rough -Not now- so the guardian closed his mouth, and sat next to her on the couch.
-Sorry for the roughness Jack. It's just that... Anything could happen and I... Really want to help you- once more Tooth's bright and pure smile remembered Jack that right now she's the only one at his side and at this moment he needed all the help possible.
Bunnymund arrived second just as altered as Sandman, but even though Tooth tried to explain him that nothing was actually wrong he still believed that Jack caused another problem, which was kind of true somehow.
At last North arrived with his portal, he stared at everyone and finally asked how could they be so calm when the fairy called him in such a hurry, of course tooth had to explain that she might have overreacted to the situation and she sent a oversized call, but still everyone was now there and she explained that Jack had some -Very exiting and important news!-.
The guardians where facing him with diferent eyes, North looked at him with a expenting face, meanwhile Sandy seemed kind of scared, Tooth was facing the other guardians with a worried smile and Bunny... Well Bunny looked like a fucking stupid kangaroo, suuuureee they where now "friends" but still Bunny was the same jackass as always, with his common angry face and stupid ears.
-Well- Jack said with a shaky voice -Fuck! This is harder than I thought!- his eyes bounced from face to face and finally stopped at Tooth's, she was now facing him and was giving him a warm smile that somehow made him feel a little better.
-I met someone!- he pronounced this words as fast as he could and as low too, Tooth was covering a big smile with her hands and a deep red blush was all over her cheeks -Isn't it amazing!- she said joyfully -Isn't it cute?!-.
Sandy just stood there with his mouth open in a wide smile of both happiness and surprise, while some seconds passed until North reacted, the Russian man literally ran towards the younger one and tackled him, but immediately rise him in a tight and painful hug, the fairy queen was flying in joy and was amazed that they took the notice so well, upon she realised that the news weren't complete at all, but fenale guardian decided to keep her mouth closed and enjoy that little moment.
Another thing that was amazing is that Bunnymund's usual face turned into a surprised one, his eyes wide as plates and the right corner of his mouth curved into a small smile, his arms (that are usually crossed) were placed on the couch's armrest with some force.
-Where you met the unlucky lady huh mate?- Bunny said with an awkward laugh.
-Well I met her at Burgess- North was the first one to remember that there where no spirits or guardian of any kind more than Jack at that place, the guardian placed Jack on the floor with a fake smile and carefully went back and sat on the purple couch.
A shiver ran through Jack' sand Tooth's back as the couch creaked, he remained silent -Well...- Bunny said in a confused tone, but quickly regained his usual voice -What can she do or control?-
-Right now she doesnt have powers of any kind- Jack felt how his courage fell as he pronounced those words, Sandman and Bunnymund like at each other in confusion while Tooth and North stared at Jack, one giving him a supportive smile and the other a disappointed face.
-Well seems that she is really shy isn't her?- Tooth said with a anxious voice and a shaky laugh as Sandy and Bunny looked at her with their same confused faces -But hey! Jack's in love right! We must-.
Her words were cut by North, as he stood up a simply -Toothiana stop- came out of his mouth with a deep and slow voice, Nicholas stood up once more and stopped at front of the marble world -see those... Pink lights?-
-Of course North- Jack answered in an annoyed voice -I'm not blind you know-.
-look brat- he said angrily -Our worlds are supposed to met, but not connect, much more if it's with a five year old!-.
-I'm not a fucking pedophile! She's not a toddler, she's 17 and before you can say something, yes! She can see me... Plus why can't we become something more than a guardian and the guarded?- Jack's face turned into a defiant grin for some seconds until he turned to the large windows.
-Oh the only difference of age wasn't enough right? How old are you? 400 years old?! She's a teenager, she has a completely life to live and you... Well you don't, you'll have those 19 years old for all the eternity-.
-North understand him!- the fairy said, the russian man turned to the tooth fairy and in a dry tone he said -This is not of your problem Toothiana!- the giant rabbit approached the only female guardian, her face was pale and her mouth and eyes open, she'd never heard North screaming and that that first time was directed at her kind of broke something inside her heart.
-C'mere mate- the giant rabbit said as he approached her and wrapped her with his arm -No worries lady alright, remember what happened last time?- he carefully pressed her against his chest as Sandy approached North, several golden symbols made from the dream sand appeared quickly on top of his head while Nicholas was staring at him -That's right Sandy he doesn't know what's best for him-.
Jack was now totally pissed off, he didn't even knew what the fuck they where talking about, what if he was different? The same situation can't perfectly repeat itself twice the young man wanted to mentally hurt North with his words as much as he could, he slowly turned and was ready to launch the first insult, but as he saw his surrounding he felt... Bad, it was incredible how just some notice could change everything in such a drastic way, he turned once more to the windows and closed his eyes in both sadness and anguer.
-Alright- where the only words he pronounced before a loud crystal crashing sound echoed in the room, all the guardians turned to the source of the noise, but the young guardian was gone and a white haze covered the windows.
-I didn't knew those had doors- Bunnymund said while scratching the back of his head.
-Well...They didn't- Tooth said in a sad tone but with a small smile as the haze was fading and the pieces of glass appeared over the place.
-Ohh- the rest of the guardians pronounced in a chorus while looking at each other.
