Meptiles: Sequel of DoTT

After his massive hangover finally left him, Don decided it was time to try and explain things to Rose. Even if it was difficult to do, he had to do it otherwise he could just forget about getting her trust back. He waited until nightfall to leave, but Leo had other plans for him.

"Come on, Donnie. Let's patrol the city together." the blue clad Turtle said, coming into Don's room where he was trying to get himself ready to confront Rose. 'Oh, shell! If I go with Leo, I'll never have the nerve to talk to Rose.' So, Don sneakily pretended he still had a headache from his hangover.

Leo seemed to buy that and when he left to patrol the streets, Don took off to Rose's apartment. His mouth felt more dry than usual as he scaled the side of the building and stealthily landed onto her balcony. Through her glass sliding doors, he saw that she was asleep. He felt his nerve dying as he didn't want to disturb her until he noticed on her night stand a large empty bottle of pills opened and on its side.

Alarmed, he broke the sliding doors' lock and went to her in great haste. She couldn't have, could she? He began to shake her, begging her to wake up. To his great relief, she did wake up. With a frightened gasp, she gathered her sheets close to her chest and stared at him.

"D-Don?" she squeaked, deathly afraid. Rose believed that Don had killed Cleo for revealing his past kinky lifestyle in that porn magazine and if he could kill outside of war, then he must be dangerous. He could snap anytime. Maybe he already did and he wanted to kill her next? Her irrational fears made her believe incredibly outrageous things then.

"Rose, I-" he began to say, reaching for her when she cringed and held the sheets up higher as she moved away in fright.

"Don't!" she cried, shivering. She started to sob, her face away from him. Don felt horrible. She must believe he killed Cleo for her, but truthfully it was an accident. He had a bad feeling he might not be able to convince her.

"I... I-I guess you know what I did...huh?" he finally said after a long pause of silence. She peeked with one eye at him, and then looked away, nodding numbly. Don heaved a gusty sigh as he struggled not to let tears take him too.

"It was an accident. I swear. I was just so angry. I didn't mean to kill her..." Don forced out, not liking how his voice was cracking. It sounded like he was lying. But he wasn't. Rose pulled away again when he touched her shoulder and it broke his heart when she did that.

"Don, even if it was an accident, you can't kill people because you're angry..." Rose said as she struggled to stop crying then. She sniffled and wiped her eyes on her sheets before getting out of bed. Her skimpy short nightgown hugged her body tightly, enticing Don, but he knew this was not the time for sex. He had to prove himself that he wasn't...bad, evil, whatever she thought he was now.

"I know that." Don bit his lower lip as his features tightened in hurt shame. "She was pulling on my tail and it hurt very badly so I shoved her away. Then she hit her head on the desk's edge... And well, you know the rest... It was an accident. A horrible horrible accident..."

Rose made herself face him and look him in the eyes, fighting with herself not to bolt for the door and flee from him. This was Donatello; her lover, not some evil demon coming to kill her. She was struck by the incredible amounts of sadness dimming his usually bright brown eyes. Rose had a sudden urge to comfort him. He needed her.

Watching her approach him briskly, Don felt a glimmer of hope. Did she understand? Did she believe he wasn't a monster? Could she get him to believe himself that he wasn't a monster as well?

Rose hugged him then, kissing his bald scalp and rubbing his shelled back lovingly. He put his arms around her seconds later and held her close as he let his burning hot tears fall from his cheeks. After a long time, she pulled away so she could wipe his tears away with her fingers. A passionate kiss followed, soothing his shaking tattered soul.

Passion flooded them both as the kiss intensified and Don fell backward on her bed with her on top. Lifting the short skirt on her gown, he made her one with him, relishing the union of their bodies. Throughout the night they continued passionately; zealous cries from Rose pushed Don to express himself harder and longer.

Exhausted, the Turtle held his precious female close as she was dozing off while he caressed her bare breasts. He breathed in her scent from her reddish golden locks and sighed in satisfaction. Things were alright between them again. "I love you, Rose..." he said softly, nuzzling. "...Thank you for telling me I'm not a monster..."

"John, where is my new assassin?" Shadow asked, irritably. Her butler was very worried. He told that Don guy to meet him at the docks a few days ago, but he never showed up and Shadow was getting angry.

"Forgive me, Mistress Shadow. I'll have to go find him again. I'll have the spies look now if you'd like." John said, hoping excessively that Shadow wouldn't lose her temper and just blow him away like the last lackey he replaced.

Lately, Shadow was losing her footing in the battle for territory against Hun's Purple Dragons and Karai's Foot Clan. She was extra vicious than usual because of her shortcomings.

John watched her move chess pieces about, using them as strategy markers on a map of the city. She scribbled words on the west side, then some more on the east side, muttering to herself.

"Do that. I'm sick of waiting for the extra help I need in this war. Karai and Hun think they can just spit on me whenever they want, well, they have a big shock coming to them!" Shadow slammed her chess piece to the middle and circled around it.

"There! That's my next hit! I'll work on destroying Hun's pathetic gang's operations. I'll make his flunkies follow me and then kill off that accursed behemoth if he doesn't join me. And his assassin named Death, I want him on my side immediately! Do what you have to do John. Hit Hun hard and attack his family members. Then Death will appear to help Hun. I want you to bring that elite assassin to me so I can...talk with him..." Shadow said strangely in a lewd fashion.

John bowed and agreed to do her bidding. Little did he know that the new assassin he had hired at the bar and Death were the one and the same person, err, Turtle.

Shadow believed she could seduce Hun's prized killer into submission easily with a little sexual luring. Of course, she wouldn't really let him have her body, but she would make him think if he worked hard enough, he could have whatever he wanted.

At Rose's apartment, Don slept in while she went to work. He was having pleasure-filled dreams of being with April whom he felt was Rose too at the same time. When he woke, he felt fairly ashamed for still holding a candle for April.

He should just forget about her. Casey was married to April and they had a daughter. May did come to the Lair sometimes, but only Don was there more than Leo. Mikey and Raph were at Mona Lisa's home raising their children.

Whenever they were alone, May was acting flirtatious towards Don. He had asked her why she was being that way and she admitted she secretly adored him since he was so intelligent and athletic. She thought green tiled skin and wrinkles were very sexy. Don was flattered, but he pointed out that he had Rose and to please not harbor any feelings for him.

'I know how she feels.' Don thought, getting up. 'I was like that around April. A young and silly teen that was always desperate for her love. Shell, I still want her after all what's happened. But my fantasy never came true. She loves Casey and not me. At least I do have Rose and she does love me. I can live with that. I can live without April now. I have to...'

Don squeezed his eyes shut tightly, trying to stop the wave of sadness coming on. Why was he torturing himself? April would never be his and that was that. He had to just deal with it. But even after twenty-two years, it still was hard. The love he had for April never really went away. Don felt that it never would and he was doomed to be tormented with yearning for a life with April that could never be.

The purple clad Turtle's cell phone rang then, jarring him from his thoughts. It was Hun again. Knowing if he didn't tell that behemoth off now, he'd never be free of his harassment. So he answered.

"Hun, look. I'm not going to work for you any-" Don tried to say when Hun hollered a bunch of obscenities mixed in with a plea for help.

"It's Sandra! The motherfuckers kidnapped her!" Hun was almost sobbing, which was extremely rare to hear. He explained how he received a disturbing package in the mail with her severed finger and threatening note enclosed. It was the finger with a tiny butterfly tattoo on it, so there was no doubt about it. Before Hun had lied that Sandra was in trouble a week earlier, but now it was true.

"Where did they take her?" Don asked simply, feeling viciously angry. Hun choked back his sorrow before he admitted he didn't really know, but the opposing gang that took her wanted to meet at the docks downtown. The note didn't say which gang they were or anything. Only that they had Sandra and they wanted Hun to surrender.

Hun wasn't into surrendering, but he would for Sandra's sake, if she was still alive that is. Don promised Hun he would get his niece back for him no matter what.

"Even if she's dead, bring her body back so I can bury her. And slaughter every dirty bastard there! I don't care how you do it; just kill those damn fuckers for hurting Sandra! And bring back their ring leader so I can personally torture him!" Hun said with sorrow-filled hatred.

"I'll do what needs to be done." Don said, going into assassin mode. He wasted no time getting to the docks and prowled the abandoned area, looking to see where they might be hiding Sandra. He wasn't finding much and growing disgusted. He wanted to punish those who were hurting Sandra. She was a really innocent person and her only 'flaw' was that her uncle was Hun.

"How dare they cut off her finger like that?" Don hissed to himself as he used his nose to sniff out any possible human scents nearby. Nothing, nothing, nothing! Where the shell were they? Was this a trick to make him waste time? Did they know Hun would send Don out instead? Was anyone even here at all?

The sun was getting lower to the horizon and Don knew he was just wasting time here, until he suddenly noticed a sub out in the distance in the water. THAT must be where they were hiding! In a submarine all this time under water! They must have just surfaced now.

Plunging into the cold waters, Don swam out to the vessel and boarded it. He was glad he had recently sharpened the hidden spear in his bo staff. He was going to need it since he wasn't planning on taking any prisoners.

He stealthily made his way through the sub to the lower innards of it, slaughtering the guards without mercy. His mastery of being a ninja was displayed well as he made the guards disappear one by one without the others realizing it until it was too late.

Splattered with blood, he grabbed the last guard in the area a chance to talk as he dragged him into the shadows with a short dagger to his throat. The guard struggled hard at first, and then saw the blood smeared green arms of his attacker. Everyone in the mob knew about Death very well.

"Where are they holding the girl?" Don growled, letting his blade cut the guard's neck. "Talk!" Don shook the man to persuade him to spill the info before he spilled his blood.

"You're gonna kill me anyway, so why should I say anything?" the guard gasped, loyal to the mob. He tried hard to push the dagger away, but failed utterly. The Turtle was obviously too strong for him.

"Because the girl you monsters kidnapped is innocent! If you are after Hun, then directly attack him, not her!" Don hiss-whispered through clenched teeth. Then he got an idea on how to make the overly loyal guard talk.

"You know who I am... Do you want ME to go after your family instead? You better talk! NOW!" The purple clad Turtle hated to threaten like that, but he had to find Sandra. She was a good kid who volunteered at homeless shelters and visited disabled veterans on her own free time. It was hard to believe what a saint she was really. She didn't deserve to be involved with Hun's gang problems.

Even though Don's threat was a bluff, the man believed it in great fright. This green beast would definitely kill his family if he didn't talk. The mob wouldn't be able to protect his wife and kids from this elite assassin of Hun's. He had to talk now and risk being disloyal to the mob.

"Ok, ok! I'll take you to her, just don't kill my family! Please Death, spare them!" the man begged, in fear for his loved ones. Don's heart felt terrible. He was being Hun's assassin again and acting like a heartless monster. Just like Karai.

Don decided it would be fine to let this one live. Maybe he wasn't a supporter to Sandra's kidnapping and finger loss. He released him roughly into the wall, still pretending to be vicious and cold. The man was alarmed by the strength of the Turtle and he was more than willing to cooperate fully now.

"They're holding her down one more level from here. The room is locked where the girl is kept, but I can get the key. It's no problem, Death. I-" the guard was cut short when a shot sounded. He began choking up blood suddenly and shortly after, the man fell face first as his body crumbled to the floor.

Don looked to who had fired the shot and his mouth dropped open in shock. He couldn't believe who he was seeing as he watched the shooter lower her arm down while holding the smoking pistol. She seemed to recognize him too.

"M-Maria?!" Don gasped, trying to understand what his eyes were telling him. Shadow looked at Don, eyes wide open. She was just as shocked as he was to see him.

"Donatello..?" she asked, her voice whispery and smooth. She sent her gaze up and down the bloody Turtle. "You're...Death?"

"Shadow... Y-you're the leader of the mob?" Don asked back, both already having their questions answered. Shadow was breathing hard. This was very bad. Donatello was the infamous Death? Hun's prized killer? She knew what she had to do then, even though they had been friends in the past. He was the enemy now; a very dangerous powerful enemy.

She had to kill Don now that she knew he was Death. Hun would lose a lot of street creds if his precious elite assassin was destroyed. This would give Shadow a higher status amongst all the crime syndicates instantly.

"Donatello, I have to get rid of you. You'll get in my way of taking Hun down since you are his top elite assassin." she said, pointing the pistol to his head and firing before Don could reply.

The Turtle tucked his head down into his shell as a natural defense and the bullet missed its mark. She gritted her teeth and started shooting like a maniac at him, but he eluded her shots with apparent ease which gave her a deep dreading sense of doom.

If only he would work for her! Then she could topple Karai and Hun finally and be the owner of all the territories in the city. She would rule them all and bring honor to her grandfather's name. But how could she convince Don to join her? Maybe it would be safer to just kill him, so she kept firing.

Shadow desperately attempted to make Don into bloody Swiss cheese with her pistol, but he was just too fast. He vanished into the darkness away from the small light where she stood. She quickly changed out the magazine with a fresh one. Breathing heavily, she held out her weapon, searching frantically for the Turtle while uttering cries of distress.

Everyone in the mob knew what Donatello could do and how he desired to devour human flesh. Hun constantly bragged that to the underworld every chance he got. While Shadow was fairly sure Don wouldn't eat her alive, she did know that animals could never be trusted. They could snap at any time for any reason and then it would be dinner time.

She firmly believed Turtles to be dinosaurs, just much smaller ones. It was why she loved the Turtles in the first place when she grew up with them. But now, she was shaking in growing fear. Dinos always hungered for human meat...

Luke warm green hands snatched her from behind and dragged her into the inky blackness. Her muffled screams showed her angry protest as she employed hard kicking, swinging her heels up high in attempts to get the Turtle in the tail. Don forcefully held her to himself, one hand to her mouth and the other pinning her thighs down against his own to stop her kicking.

She screamed more through his hand, shaking with rage and fear flooding her. She was certain she was going to be killed. Hun's ultimate weapon had her in his blood-stained claws and she had no chance to escape. Even though they were friends in her youth, they couldn't be now. He worked for Hun and that meant he was dangerous adversary. It was what she believed. But it was not what Don believed. He wanted to know why she had become this way.

"Stop it, Shadow! Why are you doing this? Why did you kidnap Hun's niece?" Don inquired, feeling very upset at her for doing such wickedness. Casey and April did their best to raise her and look what she turned into! The Turtles thought she was going to be a cop just like Casey someday. Instead she became another Hun!

When she disappeared one day, they couldn't find her for years despite all their efforts. In their sorrow, Casey and April lived on without Shadow. They had May soon after to fill the empty hole Shadow left them with.

In the past, Don had wondered if Shadow didn't want to be found, but he never voiced his thoughts on it. Now he could see that he was right. Shadow didn't want to be found since she had joined the mob and was their leader. He was interested in hearing her side of the story after all these years. The Turtle removed his hand from her mouth so she could speak.

"Hun started it by killing my grandfather!" Shadow shouted, pushing her weight up as she struggled to free herself, but failed. "I never knew it until the mob came to me to be Granddad's successor."

"You left your family! You left Casey and April! And us!" Don cried, tightening his grip on her as she started to struggle violently again.

"I had to leave! I HAD to accept! Hun's a demon and you work for him! You're here to kill me, so just do it already!" She began to sob bitterly then. "I'm sorry I failed you Granddad... I'm so so sorry!"

Don released her enough so he could get her to look at him, but still keep her from attacking him. How could she think he was a monster? Didn't growing up with the Turtles prove to her that they were noble creatures? She knew them as well as Casey and April did. They wouldn't harm her, not ever. How could she lose her trust in them so quickly?

"I DON'T work for Hun, Shadow! I hate him AND Karai. But I don't like how you've kidnapped an innocent person. She might be related to Hun, but that's not her fault. She's a good kid! You people didn't have to cut off her finger to threaten Hun!"

"Y-you don't work for Hun? And you hate Karai...?" Shadow could see a wonderfully bright light at the end of the tunnel. Many new notions came to her on how to try and persuade Don to join her. She would be the victor after all if she could gain him on her side.

"Yes, I hate them both." Don admitted, and then gave her a distrustful look. "Oh, no you don't! I'm not going to be your hit man, Shadow. Absolutely not! Don't even think about it!"

"You will work for me or I'll do what I have to to make you." she said strangely in a sly alluring tone. Don misunderstood and shoved her away. He gritted his teeth in disgust and pointed a thick green finger at her.

"Shadow, I don't play that way!"

"Sure you do." Shadow said, smiling. She knew how to blackmail him now. "I know all about how Cleo Satin was murdered. They kept saying a giant frog did it, which confused me at first."

Don didn't need to hear more from her to figure out what she was getting at. He didn't want to hear more, but she continued, putting him on the spot then.

"I heard the rumors all about a kinky green animal in those magazines Cleo published recently. I didn't see that magazine since I've been busy, but maybe I should take a look. And show Leonardo too."

"So you're going to blackmail me now. How original of you." Don said, feeling so exhausted from his mistake of being a playboy. Curse his lust! Look at all the trouble it got him into. Sheesh!

"Donnie, it's ok. I think you're very sexy and you should show off your body. I bet you have a girlfriend, right?" Shadow asked, baiting him for information to use against him. If he did have a girlfriend, she could threaten her safety to make him work for her.

"Your mother, I wish." Don said, not liking this conversation. He wasn't going to divulge any extra info if he could help it.

"You still love Mom? HAHAA HA HA HAA!" Shadow laughed good and long, making the Turtle grit his teeth angrily. He despised how her giggling was belittling his desire to be with April even after all this time. How dare she insult him!

"Oh, come on! Just give it up, Donatello! Mom doesn't like you. She loves my Dad. You should know that by now."

"Like hell, I don't know that. It sears my heart and soul every time I'm foolish enough to keep on wishing for April. But I know the accursed truth well enough. I've gone through twenty-two years suffering, ok?" Don paused, fighting back the tears burning in his eyes.

"I don't need your mother anyway. Why should I waste my time loving her when she doesn't love me back?!" Don said hatefully, the devastating pain of his unrequited feelings for April stabbing his heart. It was similar to when Rose rejected him for being a Turtle which was why he was so overly hard on Rose when she tried to get him back.

"Casey isn't even a good husband to her! He beats her! But I can't do a damn thing about it because she's not mine!" Don shouted, trembling. "You have NO idea how much I wanted to kill Casey. I can't STAND that asshole! I really can't!"

"You want my Dad dead?" Shadow was very surprised. This was what she wanted too. Sure Casey was an adequate father figure to her as an adopted parent, but now he was an overzealous cop and in her way of her mob operations. He had to be eliminated, permanently. He wasn't her real father after all, so it would be no big loss once he was killed off. Shadow had become very cold over the years with the mob.

"You heard me. I've hidden my feelings for over twenty years in agony. I can't make April love me, but how do I stop loving April? I don't think I can even though I hav-" Don stopped himself from saying that he had Rose. Revealing anything about his lover would put her life in danger. Why did he keep beating himself up over April? It could never be. He had Rose and April had Casey.

"Don, I want you to kill my Dad." Shadow said, knowing she had a good chance at him doing it seeing how hateful he was of Casey. This was good. This was very good.

"What?! I can't really kill him! April...April would be so sad. I can't hurt April, Shadow!"

"You're not hurting Mom, Don. You're liberating her from Dad's abuse. Do it and I won't show Leo that magazine of you getting your tail jacked-off. What do you say? Work for me? Ok?" Shadow frowned as Don kept shaking his head.

"No, never! Show Leo the magazine, then you can't blackmail me anymore! Hell, I'll show it to him myself; I don't care anymore! I won't kill Casey and I'll stop you if you try to yourself!" Don growled, trying to go to the lower levels of the sub then.

Shadow whipped out a short blade from her belt pouch and tried to stab him into submission. He fended her off and buried his fist into her gut hard. She began to choke and vomit. The Turtle had enough of this heartless mob boss.

"Release Sandra...NOW!" Don commanded, his bo staff's spear tip in her face.

"She's already dead." Shadow said, smirking evilly despite her pain. Don's eyes widened as he reached down to grab her by the shoulders. This was horrible; poor Sandra!

"Hun loved her like daughter! How could you take that away from him?! He's human too!"

"He's NOT human! Don't you ever say that, Donatello! Don't you ever!" Shadow coughed some more, then glared into his terra cotta brown eyes. The Turtle stared back into her dark eyes and mentally saw, no...felt a horrible presence.

'No, it can't be that thing again!' Don thought, recalling the red meteorite demon he and his brothers defeated many months ago. It couldn't have come back again, infecting Shadow, did it?

"What? Am I too alluring for you to handle?" Shadow asked, teasingly. Don felt really sick then. How could it come back? They killed it, didn't they? Was it even possible to really slay it for good?

"Shadow, you need to come meditate with me. You're being controlled by a demon and I-" Don stopped talking when Shadow laughed loudly in his face and shaking her head.

"Demon? Don't be ridiculous, Donatello! I'm not possessed by anything except my drive to rule this city. You said you hate Hun and Karai, so help me win against them. Please. We're still family, remember?"

"Of course we're family, but-" Don narrowed his eyes when she held a finger to his beak to silence him. "When you're family, you have loyalty to it. You can be my second in command even. We can get rid of Karai and Hun forever. Come on..."

Don decided he might as well and pretend to work for Shadow like he was doing for Hun so he could keep an eye on them all. It was like he was a three way spy now between all the crime organizations. What deja vu this was!

"Alright. I'll help you, but on one condition. Don't kill Casey. It's wrong and he's your adopted father. I had one too and I owe everything to him. Don't disgrace your adopted parents, Shadow. They were all you had in the beginning." Don told her. If he was part of her mob, he could really get some good info on where the hard-to-find criminals were and finally stop an infamous human trafficking syndicate the Turtles wanted destroyed.

"I'm glad you're helping me, Donatello. You're such a good uncle to me. Say hi to Michelangelo and Raphael for me. I really miss them." she said sweetly, kissing him on the cheek where there wasn't much blood splatter from her fallen guards. Don heaved a gusty sigh of exasperation. "Just give me Sandra's body. I have to go."

Taking him to the lower levels of the sub, Shadow made her remaining guards hand over Sandra's corpse to Don. She told him where to gather for their next meeting. Shadow promised to give all the information he needed on that human trafficking syndicate then. Don couldn't wait to shut them down permanently.

Leo found it odd how much Karai wanted to make love all the past week and then this week as well. It was every other day now they were mating and the blue clad Turtle felt he was living an amazing dream.

He used to have to wait days to weeks for her to allow him such fun, even beg for it at times, but now she commanded him to breed and often. It was simply wonderful. He could hardly believe it and relished it greatly. They would spar as they usually did, then make love while watching a movie, often of a romantic theme. This eased Leo's terrible stress and he could finally get some real quality sleep at last.

After another alluring long session, Leo laid beside her as she held her legs up which was her habit after they learned from Bishop that Leo had a low count. Closing his eyes, Leo smiled happily as he steadily was drifting off to blissful sleep. As much as he enjoyed all this intercourse, he was getting exhausted. But there was no way he'd ever say no to Karai now. The maddening lust he suffered silently most of his life was finally being satisfied. He wasn't used to feeling this good. He liked it. A lot.

Karai stubbornly kept her legs up in the air, trying to help Leo's sperm along inside her. She prayed she would get pregnant by him and not Donatello whom she accidentally slept with in a drunken stupor. She never told Leo of that horrible night and bombarded herself with his semen ever since to avoid tragedy.

Finally, she dropped her legs and slipped under the covers. Leo was half asleep, facing her. Karai's lips curled gently into a soft smile as she kissed his bald head and smoothed the wrinkles on his neck.

How handsome he was to her in a strange twisted way. He was a man, but an animal as well. Karai no longer felt any attraction towards human men especially due to the abuse she suffered from them. She only had eyes for her beloved Turtle friend, no one else.

Leo was so different, powerful, and perfect. He was the only kind of being she wanted to have children with. Powerful deadly children that would protect her and her clan for years to come. He stirred, murmuring in pleasure and taking in air deeply. She watched him open his mouth wide to yawn then snuggle his head deeper into the plush cream colored pillow.

"Leo?"

"...Hmm..."

"Will you be my husband again?" Karai felt strange asking since in their hearts they were already married, but she wanted it to be official. He gave her ring back before. Perhaps things would be different and he would accept that ring back.

That woke Leo up fairly quick as he opened his brown eyes and leaned up on his elbow. "Aren't I already your husband?" he asked, reaching out and stroking her shoulder and down her arm fondly.

"Yes, you are." she said back tenderly. "But you did give my ring back and I would like for you to wear it again. Please. I also would like us to have a real wedding. I want our union to be official."

"Do you need those tax benefits that much?" Leo teased, eyes half-lidded as he gazed at her bare breasts lovingly. He tugged on her arm, wanting her to come closer. She knew what he desired more of and she wanted it as well.

Anything to be pregnant by him instead of his brother despite having trouble walking afterwards. Leo wasn't exactly a weak lover and she was reminded of this whenever they made love. She went over top of him under the covers and positioned herself.

"Leo. You know what I mean. Do you accept?" She placed her hands on his plastron to steady herself for another wild ride with him. He pressed his lips to hers hungrily, clutching her firmly while not missing a beat of his love-making rhythm.

"Of course I do. I can't live without you. You are the only one I want to be with. I love you, Karai." he purred, smiling in dazed pleasure. "I feel the same, Leonardo. I love you too." she replied, groaning in delight due to the special way he made love to her.

She immensely enjoyed how the edge of his plastron pressed into her at the right angle with every thrust. It pleased her greatly. She hugged him tightly, burying her face into the wrinkled folds of his neck as again another climax came for them both. It wasn't long before they fell asleep in each other's arms.

Leo had sweet dreams of a nest full of hatchlings. The cute babies were clamoring for him to play and teach them everything he knew. He was so pleased to have so many children suddenly and all of them adoring him, worshipping him. But there was one, off to the side out of the nest. She looked sad and was crying.

She looked like Karai, but somehow he could sense she wasn't Karai and not his child either. Leo tried to console the little human girl, but then he awoke to Karai's stifled groans of agony as she struggled to walk to the bathroom. She was the one he heard crying in his dream.

Alarmed, he went to her and received a vicious glare which softened quickly. Due to the crippling pain, she allowed him to aid her to the medicine cabinet to get the pills she needed. He helped her back to the large table in the kitchen area.

"Karai! What's wrong?" Leo asked, worried and concerned. He had never seen her this bad off before. She scoffed scornfully. "You." she said bitterly, which confused him. "Huh? I'M what's wrong?"

"You are the reason why I can't walk now. Until I take some pain-killers, I often cannot walk after we mate." she admitted, wishing he had slept through the morning like he did times before. She rather not have him see her in this weakened state that she put up with just so she could be pregnant by him.

Leo felt terrible, not realizing how much pain he was putting her through. But she was the one who wanted this constant sex suddenly. He was so confused.

"Why didn't you tell me about this before? I thought you were enjoying it as much as I was. Karai, I'm so sorry." Leo said sadly, his sexual fantasy lifestyle crumbling. He couldn't make Karai go through this agony any more. Enough was enough.

"I don't care. I do enjoy it at times, though not so much as of late." Karai closed her eyes tiredly as she rubbed her temples. "I just want to be pregnant and soon. I am not getting younger and neither are you, Leonardo. We must keep doing this. We must!"

"No, I won't keep on harming you just so we can have a baby. I care too much for you, Karai. I think we've done it enough for now. You should get pregnant this time around. It'll be ok." Leo reassured her, rubbing her arm tenderly.

"Leonardo, it's my duty as your wife to please your flesh. I will not back away from my duty. As much as my body is suffering, I want yours to be at peace. Please, we must not stop mating. I-" Karai's words were cut short when Leo pressed a single thick finger to her lips.

"It's my duty as your husband to protect you and I say enough is enough. If we do it too much, you'll never get pregnant anyway. So we must stop for now." Leo said in a strict voice. She knew by his tone that he wasn't going to change his mind. Then there was a strange playful twinkle in his brown eyes as he smiled.

"It's not like we'll never make love again. We just need to take a break. I've got to get back to training besides and I really want to stop that new human trafficking operation."

"That syndicate is very hard to locate, Leon." Karai reminded him. "They move often and hide themselves very well. It is next to impossible to find them. But I will help you unearth those devils. They have no right in forcing children into such a despicable trade."

"How I want to make them burn..." Leo said hatefully, his fists trembling. Karai wondered if her beloved still had his powers of instant combustion. She had seen it once before, though she had dismissed it as a freak accident of some kind. She tried not to think of it afterwards, but it was a mystery worth uncovering.

Many years ago, when she hardly knew the Turtles, she was on a rooftop heading into battle and spied the Turtles attacking Shredder's men in an alley. They killed most of them, but a few ran away.

None escaped when the three burst into flames suddenly. They burned so hot and fast that she could feel the heat herself even where she was. Then only three piles of ashes were left. She could hardly believe what she had seen, but she couldn't deny it when more piles of ashes showed up throughout the city months after.

"Will you cause them to instantly combust, my love?" Karai asked, hoping these powers were real within Leo. It would be a great weapon against Shadow's pitiful mob.

"How did you-?" Leo stopped, realizing that he nearly revealed a secret power only the Turtles shared. He laughed, hoping she wouldn't pry. "You're kidding, right? HAAHAA! Instant combustion! Shell, there's no such thing as that."

"Don't play the fool, Leonardo!" she cried, slamming the side of her fist on the tabletop. She made a snide expression as she went on. "Even though you play that part well, I KNOW what you can do with your eyes! I've seen it myself and I could never forget how you Turtles can instant ignite your foes into ashes with your deadly stare! Can you still do it? Can you?!"

"Karai, if I could do all that, wouldn't you already be ash too?" Leo asked, making her narrow her eyes angrily. "I am your wife, Leonardo... You dare keep secrets from me? Do you not trust me?"

"I love you, but I certainly don't trust you. Last time I trusted you, I had a shock collar around my neck." he said with some bitterness as he crossed his arms. Karai took that move as saucy defiance. She despised it whenever he acted that way. So proud and smug, like the world revolved around him. Ugh!

"I told you I was sorry about that and of the other unsavory things I did. You said you had forgiven me. Or were you lying?" Karai sneered.

"Karai, I don't want to argue with you." Leo said tiredly, uncrossing his arms. "Yes, I did forgive you. But after that kind of abuse, I can't forget either. You've put me through so much, you know."

"Like you have not done the same to me. My father is long dead because of you and now my body suffers to bear us a child. With the mob and Hun trying to constantly topple me, I desire support from my husband. Not resentment of the past!" she shouted, and then turned away to hide the burning tears stinging in her eyes.

Leo stood up and went in front of her, arms open as he bent over her. She welcomed his embrace as they hugged and she wept softly. They parted briefly to kiss tenderly before holding each other close again. How good it was to have his love, but his trust was another matter. She would have to work on that.

Raph was quickly finding out being a parent was not what he thought it would be. Mona Lisa's attention for Raph was severely sparse since she had to care for their son. Raph did his part too, though he was beginning to feel a little left out. He was sitting on an inside window platform upstairs looking out the glass watching Mikey beating dusty rugs on a clothes line.

The red clad Turtle closed his tired eyes sadly. His relationship with Mona was getting strained and it bothered him. She seemed to be flustered, angry even whenever he asked her anything. She was always too busy for this and too busy for that and why wasn't he helping out more? They literally did nothing fun together anymore nor get much sleep since they had to care for the baby.

Raphie Jr. was a fussy little thing, screaming and crying all the time. It was wearing on Raph's nerves and his nerves were already thin to begin with. How did Master Splinter manage to take care of four sons by himself? Raph could barely handle one son even with Mona's help.

'Maybe I better hold off getting my kid a sibling for now...' he thought, seeing Mikey somehow getting tangled in a rug as he took them down. Angel appeared and helped him out, and then they shared a loving kiss. Raph sighed forlornly. When did he and Mona last kiss? He only recalled much hostility instead. This wasn't good.

Laying his head back against the wall, he fell asleep with the warm setting sun's rays soothing his chilled heart. Then the bang of the door woke him. Mona began to chide him, believing he was hiding to avoid helping with the chores.

"Raphael! There you are! I thought you went into town to get the supplies we need, but here you are hiding and sleeping! If you want to be lazy, go do it while washing the dishes! Hurry up!" she shouted, her brown hair disheveled and flower print apron stained from Raphie Jr's latest meal.

"Shell, quit yelling at me! I wasn't hiding, ok? I was just- just, damn! Just forget it!" Raph was too upset to explain his hurting feelings then. He wanted to be intimate with her again, like it was before the baby came.

Now, he felt she had no time for him anymore. He knew she would say it was because she had to take care of the baby and then maybe yell at him some more while pointing out why wasn't he doing a hundred things at once too.

"Raphael! Come back here! Raphael!" Mona hollered, but Raph was heading for the front door. He didn't want to stick around feeling the way he did then since he knew he would say things he would regret later.

He might as well go into town and get those stupid supplies. Mikey saw him storming away to the truck and hurried over. Angel was in the barn that the Turtle brothers constructed to keep a cow for milk and some chickens for eggs.

"Raphie! Wait up!" Mikey called, stopping him from speeding away. "What is it, Mikey? I'm not in the mood for any of your shit right now." Raph growled, frowning. Why did Mikey have to be so happy with Angel while he was miserable with Mona?

"Shit? But Angel and I already cleaned the barn of that." Mikey was a bit confused, but moved on to what he wanted to say. "Why don't you and Mona Lisa go into town on a date? I can watch the kids with Angel. It'll be no problem."

"Huh! Go into town just for fun with Mona? She's on the warpath right now, Mikey. I can't go anywhere with her. We'll only fight like...like we always do now..." Raph said dejectedly, squeezing his eyes shut.

"Exactly! So before you two really kill each other, go out with each other! Forget your parenting woes and go have some fun! Rekindle that relationship, bro. Angel and I can handle the rugrats for a while. I'll tell Mona Lisa for you, so just wait there." Mikey went into the house while Raph sat in the truck, thinking on what to say to revive the spark he and Mona had.

It wasn't long when she appeared, looking a little distant and suspicious. Was this some kind of trick to get out of caring for Raphie? Still Mona wanted to get out of the house. One person could only take so much screaming from a fussy baby after all.

She got into the truck and slammed the door. Wishing he could find the right words, Raph started the truck and began to drive it into town. Mona Lisa kept staring out the window as her lover kept on driving in silence.

'If he thinks I'm going to kiss and make up first, he's got another thing coming!' Mona thought angrily, believing Raph really was trying to hide earlier to escape the chores of parenting. A disgusted sigh from Raph made Mona flare up into speaking anyway.

"I can't believe you were hiding all day so I would have to take care of the baby all by myself. I worked myself to the bone and you were sleeping! How could you?! You-" Mona was interrupted when Raph forcefully swerved the truck off the road and slammed on the brakes. She glared at him.

"Dammit, Mona! I wasn't hiding! I was up there thinking!" Raph said heatedly.

"In between your snoring?" Mona scoffed, arms crossed.

"No! I was thinking about us!" Raph shot back.

"Us? What do you mean?" Mona stared at him, annoyed. What kind of trick was he trying to pull now?

"I mean our relationship. It's...it's not so good like it used to be..." Raph hated to say that out loud, but he knew he had better talk about it with her than constantly being on edge. Mona was silent as she waited for him to continue.

"All we do now is fight and yell... We hardly kiss or hug... I'm...worried that..." Raph swallowed hard. "...that you don't love me anymore..." He really struggled to get that all out. He was deathly afraid that she would tell him that she was no longer in love with him as he feared.

He held onto the wheel of the truck tightly, his knuckles turning a pale greenish white as he shakily took in distressed breaths. Mona reached out and touched his face, making him look at her. She saw the fright in his troubled eyes and her anger dissipated.

"Raph, I will never stop loving you. You have nothing to worry about. I will always love you no matter how much we fight and scream. You're my husband and always will be."

He gave her a grateful relieved look then, smiling weakly. She scooted over closer to hug him which he returned with his own 'bear' hug. They clung to each other for several moments, caressing and feeling each other in fondness. A long loving kiss followed. After a several moments of being lip-locked with her favorite Turtle, Mona sat back in her seat. They held hands while Raph started the truck again and drove it to the nearest town.

Feeling much better, Raph was in higher spirits to the point where he didn't let Mona do any work loading the supplies into the truck. She got to sit pretty in the front seat while Raph did all the heavy lifting and tedious labor. Mona really liked this special treatment she was receiving after months of insane work taking care of Raphie Junior.

Back in the truck, Raph shared another kiss with Mona, though it lasted even longer than the first. Finally things were back to normal! Raph got an idea to visit Leo and Don at the Lair. Mona worried some about their son though. The mother in her didn't want to be away from her baby for too long, but Raph assured her that Mikey would take good care of their kid.

"He practically worships babysitting, Mona. This is our night now. Let's enjoy ourselves, ok? Please, for us?" Raph urged, needing this time away from the baby for once. They were going cabin crazy and it was best they had at least one night to themselves for both their sanities.

"Alright. I do miss going places with you Raphael." Mona admitted, patting his thigh as the Turtle kept his eyes on the road. He agreed, nodding. They were traveling on a road leaving the city when they noticed something odd. There was someone in the middle of the road. Coming closer, Raph could see that the guy had a shotgun aimed at right him!

Swerving to avoid disaster, Raph got around the gunman, but the guy began to shoot at the truck wildly as they sped past him. The back windshield shattered and Mona screamed as glass sprayed them both.

"Get your head down, Mona!" Raph shouted, tucking his head down into his shell while still driving. The red clad Turtle floored the gas pedal to put much needed distance between them and the crazy shooter. The bullets didn't stop and hit the back tires. Raph struggled to keep control of the truck, but it began to roll when the right front tire was hit as well soon after the back ones went out.

Raph made a split-second decision to cover Mona with his body as the truck tumbled over down a short hill to the left of the road. Bradley Satin made his way down the hill with shotgun in hand. He mistook Raph as Don, the murderer of his beloved aunt Cleo.

He was hunting for that green beast for weeks and he thought he had finally found him. At the bottom of the hill, Raph and Mona Lisa were unconscious. They had been thrown a distance from the battered truck with the supplies strewn everywhere.

Mona was on her back a few feet from where Raph was. The Turtle was face first in the dirt; his shell damaged with deep scratches in odd patterns. He was bleeding profusely from the ejection from the windshield. The man came to a stop a few feet from where Raph laid.

'At last, you're going to pay for what you've done to Aunt Cleo.' Bradley thought as he aimed his shotgun at Raph's bruised skull.
