Disclaimer: All rights go to Clamp. They own the CCS series. I only own the plot and my original characters! (also before I mentioned that Katsu was 12 and in middle school. After some consulting with friends, I decided he was to be a first year in High School. He's 14. Sorry for the mix-up! Also, I plan to revise the Prologue.)

Oops?

"Katsu! Are you alright? You're principal just called me and said that the roof had collapsed and you were at the sight! Who did this! I'll make sure they pay!" my mother shouted. I held the phone well away from my ear. When I heard her stop screaming bloody murder I put it to my ear.

"It's nothing Mom. Just a BIG accident," I said, trying to soothe her ruffled feathers.

"Big is an understatement! What if someone had gotten hurt?!" she said exasperatedly. I pinched the bridge of my nose, a habit of mine when my head started to hurt.

"Even if there were people in the abandoned bathroom," I began, making sure to emphasize the abandoned. "They'd probably be the potheads that deserve such a fate."

"Katsu!"

"Gomenasai Okaa-san," I amended. "I got to go check up on Mitsuo. Ja nee!" I hung up before my mother could add on and walked into the infirmary. After the collapsing of the roof, the students were all taken to safer classrooms or outside. The teachers had found Mitsuo among the wreckage, completely unharmed and unconscious. They'd taken him to the infirmary to let him rest. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw him sitting up and unharmed. "Yo Mitsuo."

"Katsu, what happened?" he asked me immediately. I hesitated and walked over next to the cot he was laid on.

"…I'm going to tell you something, and it might seem crazy but bear with me," I said. He raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

"Shoot."

"Ifoundabookfullofmagicalcardsbutaccidentlyreleasedallofthemsonowihavetocaptureallofthemandsealthembeforetheendoftheworldhappens," I let out, not taking a breath until I was done. Mitsuo looked at me like I was crazy.

"Slow down a bit?" he prompted. I sighed.

"I found a book full of magical cards but accidently released all of them. So now I have to capture all of them and seal them before the end of the world happens."

"End of the world?" Mitsuo echoed confused. "What's that mean?" I pull Suppi and Kero out of my pockets.

"Apparently, only these two know," I muttered. I released them and they hovered in the air in front of Mitsuo. Kero even waved.

"Hi there!" he smiled. Mitsuo looked at them for a little bit.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked them after a while. I looked at him in surprise.

"You believe me?" I asked disbelievingly. He nodded.

"I know you, and you're not the type to lie about this kind of thing. Not to mention, this sounds exciting," he added, smiling. I smiled back before realizing something.

"Is he allowed to help me?" I asked Suppi, as Kero was busy examining Mitsuo. Suppi nodded.

"It's not like there any kind of rules that ban it. The previous Card Mistress, Sakura, also had someone help her that didn't have any magical power," he replied. I gave a relieved nod and stretched out a hand to Mitsuo. He took it and heaved himself off the bed.

"So are you going to introduce me to your stuffed animals?" Mitsuo asked, poking Kero in the belly. Kero slapped his finger away.

"I'm the great Cerberus, the First Guardian of the Seal!" Kero announced indignantly. Funny how that attitude was disappear when a desert was placed in front of him.

"I'm Spinel Sun, the Second Guardian of the Seal," Suppi said calmly.

"Or just Suppi," Kero added. This brought up a large fight between the two and I grabbed them from the air and shoved them into my pockets, just in time as the nurse just walked in. Mitsuo and I smiled at her before leaving.

"Can I see a card?" Mitsuo asked. I took of the Swordand handed it to him to examine. A strange emotion flickered in his eyes.

"I can't believe I was possessed by a tarot card," he muttered. I laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

"If it helps, the stronger the person's heart, the stronger the swordsmanship. And you were pretty strong Mitsuo," I said. I pretended not to notice the uplifting of his shoulders and the slight change of the angle of his chin.
