Hotaru finds a male kiwi bird in the garden of Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna's house's back. She asks them if she can keep it. Michiru tell her no because it's a bird in danger of extinction. He has to return in his country, New Zealand. Hotaru's very sad, but she understands. The bird must live in its natural habitat. She says goodbye to him and Haruka takes care to bring him back to New Zealand with her helicopter. As for Setsuna, she comforts Hotaru by finding her many kiwi birds' pictures. Hotaru finds them too fluffy and cute.
