It's now been two weeks since Dan found out that that Luke Cutforth had been going to his new school. Luke has already tried to beat up Dan a few times but thankfully he was either with Phil or PJ, who wasn't having any of Luke Cutforth's taunts, which made Luke annoyed and frustrated. Dan tried to ignore him. He didn't listen to all of his name-calling like he did before which made Luke even more annoyed. Dan thought it was pretty funny actually. Dan was still worried though. He always kept an eye out for Luke. Dan hated that Luke was going to his new school. It was like hell all over for him again.
"So…" Dan jumped as soon as he heard PJ's voice.
It was the end of the school day, on a Friday. Dan was just putting his books away in his locker. It had been quite a long day and Dan couldn't wait to get home and just relax. Thankfully, he had no homework to worry about this weekend.
"Hey." Dan greeted when he saw PJ. He shut his locker door. PJ walked up to Dan. "Where's Chris?"
"He's waiting outside for me. I wanted to talk to you first." PJ told him. Dan frowned.
"Why did you want to talk to me first?" He asked, a little nervous. PJ laughed.
"Don't be so nervous! It's nothing bad. It's about a party." PJ said. Dan groaned.
"You know I don't do parties. I don't socialize with party very well." He claimed. PJ rolled his eyes.
"That's so not true. You're fine with socializing with others. You gotta be more confident, Dan. It's not going to be a big party, well, maybe. There's going to be a lot of people there but it's not going to be a crazy, wild party." PJ explained. Dan's rolled his eyes.
"No way in hell. Forget about it. That's what the friend tells the other friend and then when they get to the party…It's crazy and wild." Dan said. PJ raised his eyebrows as he stared at Dan. "Yeah, I watch too many movies." Dan admitted. PJ laughed.
"Come on! Phil's going to go." PJ said. Dan stared at him.
"Phil's going?" He asked. PJ smirked and crossed his arms against his chest.
"I knew that would get your attention." PJ said. Dan rolled his eyes.
"Don't even think about it. Phil doesn't like me like that and he never will. I'm fine with us just being friends." Dan mumbled.
"You're not fine just being friends with him, Dan." PJ whispered.
"Well, what the fuck am I supposed to do, PJ? I've only known the guy for...Jesus, not even two months!" Dan yelled. He took a deep breath. "I'm only 15 years old and I have no idea what I'm doing with myself right now. I'm in love with him and I…I don't know what to do with myself. I don't want to risk losing his friendship with him. He was my first real friend." Dan whispered as his eyes began to water up.
"Hey, don't think about that stuff, okay?" PJ said. He sighed. "Just…Come to the party. It'll be fun." Dan slowly nodded.
"Okay." He whispered. PJ smiled slightly. "When is the party?" Dan asked.
"Tomorrow night." PJ told him. "Well, I have to go. Chris really is waiting for me. I'll call you later." PJ said. He gave Dan a quick hug before He waked away from him. PJ sighed as he walked out of the school. He looked up and smiled when he saw Chris waiting by his car. Chris was leaning against the car and was texting on his phone. PJ walked over to him. Chris didn't hear him walk up to him though. PJ grabbed his cell phone from him, making him gasp. PJ smirked and kissed him. Chris smiled as soon as he realized who it was and kissed him back. PJ smiled and pulled away from the kiss.
"Faggots!" PJ immediately looked over when he heard someone shout the word and then he he saw a group of boys that were walking away from them, and one of the boys were Luke, which wasn't surprising to Chris and PJ. Luke still give them a rough time, though usually they were able to ignore him most of the time. PJ went to start walking towards them but Chris quickly reached over grabbed PJ's arm and pulled him back, stopping him from doing something that he'd regret later. PJ frowned and looked over at him. Chris shook his head, still holding onto PJ's arm.
"Don't." Chris warned. "We talked about this before." PJ sighed.
"I know but sometimes…I can't help it. It's that word." PJ mumbled.
"I know, baby. I know. I feel the same way but not everybody is going to support us and we just have to accept that fact." Chris whispered. Chris wrapped his arm around PJ and kissed him gently. PJ took a deep breath. "Did you talk to Dan?" Chris asked, letting go of PJ. PJ looked at him and nodded.
"Yeah. He said he'll come to the party, well, he said he'd come after I almost made him cry when I mentioned Phil." PJ said. Chris raised his eyebrows as he stared at PJ. "Okay, don't look at me like that. Dan finally admitted that he was in love with Phil and then he went on saying how he was only 15 years old and that he didn't know what he was doing with himself." PJ explained. Chris frowned.
"Oh, come on. We're only one year older than him and we're in a stable relationship." Chris said.
"Yeah, but I can see where he's coming from. I'd feel the same way if I were him." PJ said. "Anyways, can we go?" He asked. "I really don't want to be here anymore." He sighed. Chris nodded. He kissed PJ once more before they both finally got into the car.
20 minutes later; Dan was finally home from school. Dan took extra longer to get home this time because he was too busy thinking about the party and everything that was happening with Phil. Dan was 100% positive that Phil didn't know even like Dan as more than a friend. Phil had no idea how he felt and that's what hurt Dan the most. Dan didn't want to be worrying about relationships at such a young age but he couldn't help himself.
Dan looked up as he walked into the driveway of his home. He was surprised when he saw Phil sitting on the porch steps.
"Phil?" Dan asked. Phil looked up and smiled when he saw Dan. He stood up from the steps. Dan walked over to him. "What are you doing? Sitting on my porch steps?" He asked. Phil shrugged his shoulders.
"I didn't feel like going home so I thought I would come to your house." Phil said.
"Why didn't you just text me? We could have walked here together." Dan told him. Phil shrugged his shoulders.
"I saw you talking to PJ and I didn't want to interrupt you." Phil said. Dan smiled.
"Well, let's go inside." Dan suggested. Phil nodded. Dan led the way into his house. "Mum, I'm home! Phil's staying over!"
"Okay!" Dan smiled when he heard his mom shout back.
"Looks like you can stay." Dan said. Phil laughed at him. "Are you hungry or anything?" Dan asked as he looked over at Phil.
"No, thanks. Not yet, anyways." Phil said. Dan nodded and they went to Dan's bedroom. Dan shut the door behind him.
"What were you and PJ talking about at school?" Phil asked as he looked over at Dan. Dan sighed.
"He was telling me about some party that was happening tomorrow night." Dan said.
"Oh, that one." Phil said. "Yeah, he and Chris tried to get me to go too."
"Tried?" Dan asked nervously. "Are you not going to go?" He asked. Phil shrugged his shoulders. Dan walked over to his bed and plopped down. Part of Dan really wanted to go to this party. He trusted PJ when he said that the PJ wasn't going to be that big and that it was going to be fun. Dan just didn't know anyone else. Maybe this would be his chance to meet new people and meet new friends. Of course, he loved hanging out with PJ, Chris and Phil but…He needed more people in his life. Phil frowned as he stared at Dan. He walked over to his bed and sat down next to him.
"You're not seriously thinking about going to that party?" Dan was shaken out of his thoughts when he heard Phil's voice. "I mean…That's going to be a massive party, Dan. There's going to be loud music, drunk people and eventually someone will call the police and everyone will get in trouble. It's not worth it." Phil said. Dan nodded.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Dan said. He bit his lip. Dan wanted to go to that party. "Let me just text PJ and let him know that I'm not going to go." Phil nodded. "I'm sure he'll but upset but they'll be other times."
"Good." Phil said. He watched as Dan pulled out his phone and text PJ.
To: PJ
From: Dan
Hey! I decided I wanted to go to that party. See you tomorrow. x
"So…" Dan began to say. He put his phone down. "You wanna play some video games?" Dan asked.
"You're on!" Phil shouted. Dan laughed at him. Dan felt bad that he was lying to Phil. But, it was just one party? What's the worst that could possibly happen? Dan was going to be with Chris and PJ. He'd be fine.
