Chapter VII
Say Something, I'm Giving Up On You
By: Elsa Alicorn
Elsa buried her face in white mane in front of her. Tears were falling from her eyes like a fountain. She wouldn't care if some stranger told her that painful words. She would just blow it off, but that was her sister. Even thought they were not talking for many years, she still loved her.
Elsa opened her eyes when she heard voice what was coming beside her. She looked to her left and saw one group of guards. One of them approached her. He bowed deeply before saying, "My Queen. Are you alright?" He asked. Elsa looked around and saw that she was in front of her castle.
'Already?', she thought to herself, not moving her gaze from the street. The guard became little impatient and worried, so he cleared his throat to get her attention. Elsa snapped out of a daydream and she turned her attention back to guard.
"Oh, yes. I am. Thank you for asking." She replied politely. After that, she jumped off of the horse and walked inside of the castle. She stopped in the ballroom. All the happy memories came back to her. All were happy except one. Elsa sighed deeply and sat on the floor. She didn't care what would someone think. She just wanted to calm down.
"Conceal. Don't feel. Don't let-" She was cut off by familiar, femine voice from behind her.
"Your Majesty? Are you all right?" Elsa jumped a little and turned around.
"Gerda? Oh, it's just you." Elsa claimed herself down. Greda nodded and helped Queen to stand up.
"My queen, don't mind me asking, but what are you doing all alone in the ballroom? And where is Princess Anna?" Gerda said, with a questioning look. Elsa sighed and closed her eyes.
"Anna... Is not with me. She refuses to come back with me." One crystal tear rolled down her cheek. Gerda gave her a warm smile, but she knew she couldn't help too much.
"Don't be sad. Your sister will understand. She just needs some time to get that all in." Gerta replied. Elsa simply nodded.
"I hope so..." Elsa replied, secretly praying in her mind that Anna would understand.
"Oh!..." Gerda cut her off of her trance "... I totally forgot! You must be excused and cold! Let me help you!" She moved closer to Elsa, but Elsa backed away.
"No, no. There is no need for that. You know that cold never bothered me. I just... Need some time alone." Gerda simply nodded.
"I understand. If you need me, just ask. I'll be... Well, you know where you'll find me." Elsa nodded. Gerda slowly started to leave, but Elsa stopped her.
"Um, Gerda?" Maid slowly turned around.
"Yes, your Majesty?" She waited for the question. Elsa sighed, looking away.
"How is he?" Words left her mouth before she could stop them. Gerda blinked a few times in confusion. And then it hit her.
"Oh, you mean Prince Hans? He is doing fine. Great, in fact. Why do you ask, your Majesty?" Gerda smiled. Elsa shook her head.
"It is... complicated. Now, excuse me, I have to go." Elsa turned away from Gerda. She actually didn't know why she asked that. It just left her mouth. She could hear Gerda behind her saying "Goodbye, your Majesty". Elsa slowly walked away, looking at the floor. Usually, she would stand straight, but this time she couldn't. When she entered her room, she locked herself in. She could feel old feelings coming back to her. All the pain she felt in isolation, everything came back to her. Suddenly, it started to snow in the room.
'Oh no. Come on, Elsa. Conceal, don't feel. Conceal, Don't feel!' But it didn't help her in any way. She could control powers with love, but she couldn't feel it anymore. Sure, she loved Anna with all her heart, but after the incident, she only felt pain and disappointment. She felt like eighteen year old self, locked inside of room with nobody by her side. She wanted Anna to be there, but she promised herself that she will never hurt Anna. Elsa chuckled sadly at the irony.
'Protect her? I killed her and hurt her! I am such a bad sister.' She closed her eyes as one crystal tear rolled down her cheek.
"I miss you, Anna..."
This is a damn short chapter, but I really wanted to upload.
One guest sent a review, which said: 'write something, I'm giving up on you.'
Ah, the irony. I like it!
I know you all wanted new chapter, but man, give me a chance to breathe. This is the last week of school and it's one of the most difficult weeks. And I'm finishing primary school, so it's damn much harder than it was before. After school finish, I'll upload every third day. I'll have much free time.
I hope you like it, so...
