After an update and reboot of Griffin's central systems, the Commander's records are accidentally deleted, forcing him to re-take all of his training courses on his day off. Unfortunately for him, however, the curriculum has undergone some "changes" since he last went through it.

After getting mildly upset at his computer not being able to play games smoothly, SV-98 ropes the commander into going outside to find a graphics card. Nothing about this outing could go wrong.
