Chapter 18: Doctor Gantz Demands!

(Inside Light Years, Door 8 "Medical Military Department" 'Patient Room')

"Ken STOP trying to over do it your blonde bastard, how can you exercise in your condition? Do you want your wounds to open up again idiot?!" Carlos said intensely while watching Ken do super one handed push-ups without breaking a sweat. Ken twisted his neck towards Carlos while still in push-ups position and said overconfidently "I'm completely healed Carlos don't worry about me!"

"How could I not be worried about you Idiot?" Carlos continued "It's only been a day since your injury and you expect me to believe your back to full health? Haa!"

"Yup I do."

"Ok wise guy...but I still can't let my Captain get injured to this point ever again." Ken smiled knowing that his vice was worried about him. When he was done Ken jumped in the air with a grace twist only he himself could pull off perfectly.

Carlos was now shaking his head at Ken's showy movements sighing as he handed his captain his clothes. Ken with pleasure slipped out his hospital gown and into his usually outfit, knowing that his fashion sense was pretty stylish. A announcement was heard all over the intercom throughout Light Years; it was Doctor Gantz telling the Three young Pirates to go up to the upper deck of their ship to inform them about the details of the "deal" which Carlos made in the heat of battle. "Deal? What deal is he talking about Carlos?" "Well..." "Well what? What going on Carlos?!" "I made a deal with Doctor Gantz to save you and Ryu's life for the simple price of having to bring the Doctor to whichever island he needs to land at." "Is that all? Well it's good with me lets go see the Doc again! Call Ryu from the other room what's he's doing anyways?!" "He's stuffing his face with food...all the food Doctor Gantz left for you after you woke up." "WHATTTT? Let's go get Ryu that Thieving little...owooo I'll kill'em!" Ken spurted out now tugging Carlos by the arm like a rug doll forcing him to hover out the door behind Ken like a balloon.

Ken rushed to the next room kicking down the door letting out a Ku Fu Battle Cry that echo all throughout Sunny awkwardly. Inside the room surprisingly their wasn't a soul to be found. Ken nearly broke down in tears but Carlos huffed and explain to Ken that Ryu was most likely directing the ship already, knowing that he'd probably wanna know about the ship as soon as possible being a Navigator. Ken gave out a hopeful smile and rushed out the room in a flash with Carlos who was holding his top hat from falling to the ground.

(Upper deck of Light Years)

"Good all three of you guys finally made it here. Now I have important business to handle with you guys ...umm Ken can you please stop trying to move, the more you move the more the tranquilizer that I injected you with will spread throughout your body," The doctor pointed out.

Ryu was now rolling on the ground laughing at Ken who looked just like a fish straight out of a Finding Nemo movie, the words: izz uoin kizz uu Iyuuuu (I'm going to kill you Ryuuuu) was all that came out his mouth. Carlos unamused by Ken's funny appearance was now sitting in a chair in front of Gantz knowing that he needed to know where this mysterious island this even more mysterious doctor wanted to go. Gantz noticed the attention Carlos was beaming at him directly and finally after a couple seconds the doctor started to mutter words "...Ok, I need you two to sail me to Z.D in 48 hours immediately, I have an important meeting to attend to by dawn, May 20X8...it isn't a place for kids but since you owe me I'll use your ship as a cab and you guys as the drivers. " Stated the doctor harshly without a care in the world . "What does Z.D stands for anyways you impolite doctrine bastard?"Wondered Carlos whose was getting angrier by the second.

Gantz simply put his hands on his chin and continue his story "It means Zero District, It's a lawless island polluted by ruthless pirates, vengeful bandits and money hungry prostitutes who'd steal all your hard earned beris while your sound asleep. Beneath the shadows of Z.D one of the Seven Warlord watch over and runs everything that goes on there and trust me he's not a mortal he's a monster with devil tendencies. I don't understand why he invite me to see him personally but whatever the reason is hopefully my life is spared in the process." Finished Gantz while biting his nails and tapping his feet quickly, Ryu finally stopped laughing now a spark of rage flashed a crossed his eyes "Which one of the Navy Dogs invited you to Z.D Gantz? I have unfinished business with all 7 of those bastard." Snapped Ryu his eyes cold enough to freeze hell without a trace of emotion in them.

Gantz stared at Ryu forcefully then shook his head in disagreement "Don't do anything stupid kid you have a long..." "SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU RED HEAD BASTARD YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ME LIKE THAT WHO IS THE FUCKIN' WARLORD THAT CONTROLS Z.D I SAID!?" Ryu flashed out without evening knowing it himself, clearly he had some hidden rage stored up somewhere inside. Gantz was dumbfounded somewhere stuck between frightened & surprised at the emotion the man showed him. On the other hand Carlos looked surprisingly absentminded at Ryu sudden outburst simply looking up at the clouds in the air. Ken glanced at Ryu who was showing signs of regretfulness towards Gantz knowing that in all honest this man didn't have to save them from the Marines & the wrath of Phoenix Island.

From nowhere Ken forced himself to stand up dispute being poison by an extreme parlaying drug. He walked slowly towards Ryu, so much tension was in the air that every step taken by Ken sounded like an elephant marching . Once Ken got close enough to The Bloody Shocker he cocked his head back with all his force sending his forehead directly into Ryu's face knocking him crashing backwards into a patch of barrels. "How can you disrespect the man that saved both our lives? Vengeance doesn't mean you can walk over anybody to get to it asshole...have more respect for the Golden Spirit Pirates!" Screamed Ken whose eyes were now sharp yellow like an enraged beast ready to pounce on it's victim.

Ryu dusted off his shirt clearly shame was present in his face, he rose off the ground now limping towards Doctor Gantz who was still sitting down in the chair, Ryu suddenly crouched down towards Gantz feet catching eye contact with him "I'm sorry," announced Ryu "I was out of line for getting mad at you for something you had nothing to do with...you not only saved my life but you also saved my captain's life and I appreciate everything you did for us," Gantz looked at Ryu relieved he didn't attempt a assassination on his life because he knew the full potential and story behind The Bloody Shocker to the point that even his captain Ken wouldn't be able to stop his rage Ryu once he's meets that "man".

Doctor Gantz with a jest of excitement slowly fingered Ryu to rise off the ground and with a halfhearted smile he said "Men don't bow down that's for the dogs," Doctor Gantz continued "If you really want I'll allow you to "act" like my bodyguards giving you access to see that rotten Shichibukai yourselves but even so you have to save my life from any danger I might face on Zero District ..Deal?" Ryu now completely happy with the deal offered to him quickly looked at his captain for the a-okay, which Ken nodded his head yes in return. "It's a deal!" Announced Ryu happy that he can finally kill one of the people that eradicated his entire family when he was a kid.

Ken still standing up looked at Gantz with sharp murderous eyes and said "But if you try to double cross us Dr. Gantz I put this on my pirate crew that I will take your life and everything worthwhile in your life without mercy...understand?" Threatened Ken harshly. Gantz quickly nodded his head finally realizing that dispute their age they both were INDEED real pirates with cold hearted mentalities like the others. "Let's go feast then guys..your turn to cook Ryu! We have about 10 miles left before we arrive at Z.D so let get recuperated quickly!" Screamed Ken once again excitedly Ryu follow suit and jumped up in the air with a "Ayee Ayee Capt'n" chant filling the air of Light Years with Carlos and Ryu happily chawhile along side their captain.

Doctor Gantz walked behind the young men while they were strolling inside Light Years with a wicked grin plastid on his face "These boys really are FUN to play with...Z.D surely will be entertaining place soon Hehehehehe!"
