Since the teenage girls couldn't transform due to being grounded, they had to find other ways to entertain themselves. Consequently, Chibiusa tried to keep the girl's spirits up with pieces of delicious candy. However, it had originated from a sketchy shop. Nevertheless, the sweets tasted fine. After participating in satisfying payback rivaling the traps in Home Alone, the captivating Gracie calmly laid down on her queen-size mattress.

"I don't feel so well...maybe I can sleep it off?" But, on the other hand, Gracie reasoned conceivably, she had slightly overindulged in candy.

When she awoke, Gracie felt even worse! Looking down, Gracie stood baffled. First, she appeared to be sporting a suit of yellow, almost white, orange-tipped feathers! Then, she witnessed her legs and feet had become much shorter, bright orange, and webbed! Then, terrified, she looked at her arms and hands, which were now magnificent wings!

Surprised, Gracie stumbled to the bathroom and glanced into the pink heart-shaped mirror. While not losing her beauty, in a sense, Gracie had somehow transformed into a swan! Panicked, Gracie attempted to scream for help. Yet her ability to talk was gone too! So, she pecked herself to see this was a nightmare. However, the fact it painfully hurt confirmed this could not be a nightmare. Finally, incapable of thinking of what else to do, Gracie flopped onto the unmade bed and mourned.

After venting for a few minutes, she suddenly agonized about Crystal. Crystal was her roommate, after all. So what might she do if she discovered a swan in their shared bedroom? Desperately not wanting to shock her friend, she gracefully flew out the window before landing in one of the silver ponds. Thankfully it was populated by swans and other waterfowls.

Thankfully, they did not pester her. Instead, she heard them start snorting excitedly. Gracie glanced up to witness pieces of fresh bread thrown at them by her last hope. Neo-Queen Serenity! Quick as she could, she shuffled up to Neo-Queen Serenity and, with her beak, pulled urgently on the hem of the queen's white silk gown.

"Oh! You're a beautiful new one. What's wrong?" Neo-Queen Serenity knelt and glanced into the girl's stunning, bright blue eyes.

Gracie tried to communicate what had transpired. Sadly with no voice, it was virtually impossible to figure out what she was trying to get across. Then, luckily, Neo-Queen Serenity's crescent moon birthmark lit up while Venus's symbol blazed on the swan's forehead!

"Gracie?!" Neo-Queen Serenity held the swan delicately in her arms. Gracie looked devastated and embraced Neo-Queen Serenity. She made no sound, but Neo-Queen Serenity could sense the girl's despair.

"In hindsight, I should have known swans don't come in golden-white or have blue eyes. I'm so sorry, Gracie. I hope you didn't suffer." Neo-Queen Serenity got a shake of the head from Gracie.

Relieved, Neo-Queen Serenity stroked Gracie's soft feathers tenderly as she considered what to do. She knew she had to inform the others somehow. But moreover, how did this ensue?
