After moving their daughters outside, the rest of the palace's residents came by daily to check and ensure the girls were fairing well. Thankfully, the transformed Neo-Senshi had quickly adapted well to their new environment. But, sometimes, even King Endymion would show up!
"I'm glad the girls are still doing so well," Luna told the royal couple.
"My love, why don't you spend time with them?" King Endymion asked his wife.
"No, I can't bare to let them see me like this. It's all my fault! What kind of queen am I for taking away their pendants?! The one thing that could have protected them?! What kind of trusted friend am I for letting them eat candy from a shop called something so obviously cursed?! And what kind of mother can I be of my daughter turns into an animal?!" Neo-Queen Serenity sobbed into her husband's arms.
Overhearing her from a hallway, Holly and Trisha started to converse. "We should go to Haiti's Voodoo Candy and see if we can find more clues to what's happening," Holly suggested.
"While that is a plausible suggestion, Holly, it is not wise to travel with our friends. Since we don't know what they will transform into. Nor do we know how impaired the powers of the transformed ones are." Trisha argued.
"I miss Alexis...I sound silly, don't I?" Holly questioned, smiling sadly.
"Not at all. I miss her too...and Emily." Trisha replied softly.
"At least we know Emily is in good hands...or is it more proper to refer to them as paws?" Holly wondered.
Trisha smiled to herself, knowing Holly didn't expect an answer.
Ivy and Dawn were currently in the greenhouse. Dawn was reading a list of plants from one of Christen's books. They could be used in Shadow's experimental meds, and Ivy is picking them out. Suddenly, Ivy felt a pain in her stomach. At first, she thought she'd been bending over too much.
Suddenly Dawn screamed and keeled over as they both started to transform! Ivy grew strong, curved horns from the sides of her head and hooves as Dawn's teeth and nails sharpened! Ivy had turned into an Ox and Dawn a lioness!
Although they couldn't longer talk, they flipped what they could of the dropped plants on their backs and carried them to their friends. At first, the girls and cats were shocked. Yet as the animal girls did not react frightenedly, it was assumed this was Ivy and Dawn. Luna and Artemis discovered something else from Christen's books as an added stress.
"As cats, our instincts force us to react the way an animal would. But, unfortunately, its girls might develop animal instincts too. If that happens and it goes on for too long, it may become irreversible." Luna warned.
"With most of our teammates have transformed into animals now! So how are we supposed to stop them?" Chibiusa whined.
"Do whatever is necessary," Artemis said with an air of finality.
The girls who hadn't eaten the cursed sweets agreed to go to Haiti's Voodoo Candy to bust this mystery! So were the felines and the transformed Senshi's mothers, whether they had Neo-Queen Serenity's permission since this concerned their daughters! Chibiusa and Jewel had to stay behind as they had consumed some candy the past week. They're already feeling awful. They could not help. Without further ado, the group is off!
