A 10 minute Leyna cause I feel super guilty about not updating.
School.
There's my excuse I'm so sorry.
Reyna had her knife in her hand before she'd even opened her eyes. The rustling noise that had awoken her still came from the kitchen. She rolled quietly out of bed and adjusted her rumpled clothing. A praetor of New Rome can't skewer someone with a knife in messy clothes.
She opened the door carefully and leaned back along the wall. "Plan, plan, plan…" she muttered to herself.
When in doubt, use the factor of surprise.
Reyna ducked into the kitchen. The black outline of a person stood close to her fridge. She pressed the blade into their spine.
"What the hell are you doing in my house?" She hissed to the figure. "At 2:44 AM."
"Hey Rey-Rey," Leo's shaky voice said.
She grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around. "Why are you here?"
Leo smiled weakly. "I was hungry." He lifted his hands up to show her the milk and cookies he was holding.
"So you decided to scare me to death, for cookies?"
"I couldn't convince Connor and Travis to steal me some."
"How'd you even get here?"
"I have my ways," Leo said slyly.
Reyna let go of Leo and leaned back onto her counter. "I really hate you sometimes."
Leo held up the jug of milk and took a swig. "Want some?"
"Absolutely not. That's disgusting."
"If you don't want me breaking in at 2 AM and eating your food, don't buy Oreo's."
"I buy Oreo's because I learned my lesson from the last time you broke in for cookies."
"Very well then." Leo tipped the milk up and dunked the Oreo in. "You should get back to sleep."
"I should?" Reyna spluttered. "And leave you in my house with access to all the food?"
"Yes."
"No!"
"Fine." Leo munched on the cookie. "But I'm finishing these before I leave."
Reyna plopped down on her couch and flicked on the TV. "I'll catch up on Psych."
"You watch that?" Leo asked, throwing himself next to her, food still in hand.
"You may or may not have gotten me hooked. Plus I'm already up. Might as well use the time wisely."
"I guess I could stay and watch…"
"But will your Oreo's last through the entire episode?"
Leo looked down at his half empty package. "Yes."
There we go. I swear I'm trying to update my other stories (the documents glare at me constantly and fill me with guilt.)
It's 11 pm and I'm doing this for you people. R&R please.
