I don't own Being Human, only my character, Annabelle!

Chapter 14: Werewolf-sitting

"So, um you sure ya' wanna' go to the IKEA?"-Mitchell asked.

"Yep,we still need to get a little bed for Eve."-Nina replied.

"Gosh, I'm so excited!"-Annie squealed.

"Wait a sec'!-George blurted out-"Somebody has to stay home with Eve!"

"Well…you and Nina must go of course...and I'm so excited! Please Mitchell could you stay in with baby Eve?

"Annie I…I don't really…"

"Unless of course you wanna' come with us to the IKEA…"-George added with a smirk.

"No! No. There's no bloody way I'm going to that place again!"

"Then you should stay home and take care of this baby girl!"-Annie cooed to Eve.

"Wait a minute! There's no way I'm letting an ex-vampire to baby-sit my daughter!"

"But Nina…"

"No Annie I'm…"

"C'mon honey, give him a little bit more credit!"-Asked George-"You can trust him."

"No George, no I can't!"-she yelled.

The baby started crying. Nina carefully put her into Annie's arms and she started rocking her and cooing to her.

"Ssh Eve! Ssh! Who's Auntie Annie's good baby girl? Who's? Come on smile for me! That's right let me see that grin! Haha!

"Please Nina you can trust him."

"I don't know George…"

"Nina!"

"Yes?"

"You can trust me. I promise. I'd never lay a finger on her. I'd never hurt her you know that!"

"But can you take care of her?"

"Of course he can!"-George exclaimed.-"He has to practice anyway!"

"Fine!"

"Yess!"-George was really happy because Nina agreed. He hoped after this she would trust Mitchell more or would give him more credit.

"Can we get going then?"-Annie asked.

She indeed was really excited.

"Yes, so Mitchell there are three bottles of milk in the fridge. You should feed her at six then put her down to sleep. Then feed her again at nine.

"C'mon Nina it's not like we're having a whole night out!"

"Now that you mentioned it George, I think we should!"-Annie giggled.-Those two will be fine. They'll have some bonding time with each other!"

"Nice idea, I'd like to have a night out!"-Nina smirked.

"Okay then! We should get going."

"Take care of her!-Annie smiled and gently placed the baby into Mitchell's arms. She gave him a kiss on the cheek and went for the door.

"Bye! And you two behave while we're out!"-she waved goodbye and left.

"Now, what shall I do with ya'?"-asked Mitchell as he placed baby Eve on the sofa.

"Right! I have to feed you Eve. That can't be difficult, can it?"-in response the baby giggled.

"Aww, you're so precious."-He smiled.-"So let's get that milk."

He opened the fridge and soon found the bottle. There was a note glued onto it with post-it. It read:

"Heat in microwave for a minute"

He did as he was "told" and took Eve into his arms and started feeding her.

"Oh you little one ya' surely were hungry."

After Eve finished her bottle of milk Mitchell turned on the telly. She started crying.

"What? Don't you like The Real Hustle? Maybe we should change your diaper, shouldn't we? C'mon Eve!" –He lifted her up from the settee-"Ssh! Ssh, baby don't cry it's gonna' be fine, Uncle Mitchell's 'ere! Ssh!"

He put her down onto George's and Nina's double bed and started changing her diaper.

"Sorry if I do this the wrong way Eve, but I've never done this before!"

When he finished he lifted her up:

"There,there!"-He chuckled-"A lot better now, huh?"

The baby girl smiled at him and his heart melted. He always had a soft spot for babies and kids. Before he became a vampire he often imagined himself as a father. Eve reminded him of his little sister Annabelle. They were both beautiful, lovable and sweet. This connection brought back treasured memories, but also made him sad. He didn't know what happened to his sister after he left. She was really young back then, only fifteen. He loved her deeply and he knew he'll never forget her. He snapped back into present when Eve babbled.

"Yes, Eve you're totally right, we should watch the end of The Real Hustle. C'mon."

Meanwhile the guys finished in the IKEA and went shopping for baby clothes. They wondered how Mitchell and Eve were doing back home. When they finished shopping they left the stuff in the car and headed to a pub.

Eve fell asleep next to Mitchell on the couch. The ghost started drifting off too, when he was awoken by Eve's crying.

"You're hungry aren't you?"-he smiled. He fed her with a bottle of milk and after playing peek-a-boo with her, he laid her down on the sofa. She started crying.

"Oh, what's the matter now? Right, diapers."

He changed her diaper with slightly more practiced movements than before and put her down onto the sofa again next to him. She started crying.

"Ow, c'mon Eve what's the matter?"

He lifted her up and she stopped crying immediately.

"Alright, alright."-he laid down on the settee and placed Eve on top of him.

Soon they both fell asleep.

Well hello there!
