Minako Aino went to her room, it had been a long day of school, and video games and she was tired. She walked towards her dresser and pulled out her pajamas. Her pajamas were pink with a button top, and sweatpant-style bottoms, and had white chibi kitties on them. After putting them on she walked to her desk, which had a mirror, and took off the bun holding her gorgeously long blonde hair up. Letting it fall she stared into the mirror at her own beautiful sky-blue eyes.
"I'm so sleepy…" She said, seeing the red in her eyes from playing too many video games at the CROWN Arcade. Walking over to her bed she lifted her blanket and laid down. Turning off the lights in her room via a lamp on the end table next to her bed, she stared out of the window seeing the full moon shining comfortably. "Good night…" She whispered to herself as she drifted into the dream world.
And that's where it started.
—
In a dream, Minako was standing in a blank white room with a single window leading to the outside. Upon the window, she saw a black, fluffy tomcat staring out of the window. It seemed cool and collected, but its yellow dilated eyes said that it wanted to desperately go outside. And then it began to sing a romantic lullaby; "Daisy. Daisy. Give me your answer do. I'm half-crazy. All for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage. I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two."
"Aww, a cat!" Minako said and began to move towards it, holding her hand out to pet it, but before she could, everything around her went black.
The dream sequence ended, and then another began. This time, Minako was still in the black space, but as moments passed she saw streaks of lights of different colors and patterns form at a vertical horizon. Minako stared in awe at the brilliant show that would give some unfortunate people epilepsy as the lights zipped past her, but she knew it couldn't hurt her, it didn't even stain her eyes, instead, it gave her a sense of calm.
She blinked and saw that the horizon changed from a vertical one to a horizontal one. The lights were still dazzling until the horizon began to glow and brighter and brighter streaks zipped past her until her entire vision and space were all white. "What's happening?" She asked, looking around the space.
And then she blinked again and saw that she was standing in a white room with inaccurate French architecture. Deliberately so inaccurate, as if someone tried to build the room strictly from memory. She saw pictures and paintings of old hanging across the walls of the room including the Birth of Venus, Adam and Eve, and Starry Night. "Wow!" She said, staring at them.
She then saw a doorway leading towards the bathroom and entered. Aligned with the central wall of the bathroom stood the famous Statue of David. Minako looked at it, her female nature told her to look near the bottom part of the statue but thanks to her strong will she ignored it. Walking towards the sink she saw all the necessary things. Toothpaste, toothbrush, combs, gel, skin care lotions, a soap dispenser, etc. She looked at the mirror hanging above the sink and gasped in surprise at what she was wearing.
There she was in a beautiful orange dress, and a big red bow was holding her hair up. She squealed in awe at her appearance. "I'm so beautiful!!"
She stopped when she heard utensils clinging. Facing the door leading back into the room, she stood at the doorway and saw a young man eating at a small dinner table. As she stood the young man stopped eating, sensing her presence. He pulled his chair out slightly and moved his upper body to face her from the chair. Minako couldn't grasp his face quite right.
Seeing her, he pulled out his chair even more and stood up, and began to walk toward her. Minako took a step back as he made his approach, but she did have the time to take in his appearance.
He was a young man, around sixteen-year-olds, and despite that, he had a beard growing already, although it was thin and shaggy and not very noticeable at first glance. He was wearing a very dark blue tuxedo suit, and his hands and face were pale. He had golden brown hair, and just like her, he had sky-blue eyes, although these were much more striking, and were a bit blocked by the glasses on his face. Lastly, he stood tall at about 5'8 ft or 172 cm, dwarfing her 5'1 or 157 cm body.
He stopped about two and a half feet away from her and held out his hand to take hers. Minako hesitated about taking the Dream-boy's hand but then he smiled and said; "It's okay. Come, let us have dinner together."
Minako then took his hand and he guided her gently back to the table he was eating at. He let go of her hand once they were there to pull out a second chair. Minako sat down and stared at the food. It was chicken and rice, with a bread roll at the side, along with a glass of apple juice. It was the same on his side, although his drink was water.
The two began to eat and Minako felt herself becoming full and tired. She took a sip of her juice and took another bite smiling at the juices of the chicken that were salty and savory. When she went to take another sip from her glass her arm wasn't aimed right and she knocked it over. It shattered on the white stone floor.
The young man stopped his eating and stared back and forth between her and the shattered glass. "I'm so sorry!!" Minako apologized, but he held his hand up. Standing up he went over to her and bent down to her level, taking her hand in his. "It's okay. Come, you must be tired."
He lifted her in his arms and walked towards a king-sized bed in the center of the room against the wall. Pulling away the sheets and comforter he laid her down. "See you later, my Venus." He said. As he began to walk away Minako called out. "Wait!" He turned to her. "Is this the end of my dream?" She asked. The man smiled. "No. It is the beginning, Venus."
He walked towards her lying form, and bent his head down to her forehead, kissing it gently.
And then it ended when she closed her eyes.
—
Minako's eyes opened and gazed out the window to see the rising sun. She lifted her arm over her forehead and looked back at her dream. "What a strange dream. First I saw a singing cat on a window, then a series of lights, and then I had dinner with some guy in an orange dress in a white victorian-style room."
Minako then heard footsteps approaching her door and her mother burst into the room. "MINAKO!! WAKE UP OR YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!"
Minako stood up in a panic. "WHA–!!"
Quickly changing and getting dressed, Minako brushed her teeth and took her lunchbox from the kitchen table. "See you later! I'm off to school!! She called running out the front door.
As she ran towards her school she bumped into a young man, both of them collapsing to the ground.
Minako stood up rubbing her butt in pain. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" She began to run off again. "I'm very sorry!" She called out.
The young man stood and stared after her. The same man from her dream. "I found you, my Venus." He said before walking in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, behind a bush, a white tomcat with a crescent mark on its forehead named Artemis watched Minako run towards her school. "There she is! She's the one!" He said, holding a transformation pen in his mouth.
