Hey Guys! I am getting a lot of hate reviews on Edward and it is sort of disheartening. Edward by far isn't a bad guy. He is simply a popular high school guy. He gets girls thrown at him daily, as we have seen with the W's, he does not go out with every girl but yes he has had his share of hook ups. Hook ups in this story mostly mean just making out and oral. Yes Edward has had sex before while Bella has not. Edward is also trying to get a grasp on his best friend (Bella) changing dramatically. Edward doesn't handle change very well. That being said please don't give up on this story and on Edward!

B POV
After watching Edward pull away I walked up to my room and called Jake and asked him if he could come over and told him that I needed to talk to him. He agreed and told me he would be over in fifteen minutes. I decided to pull out my math homework and try to decipher what it was that the teacher wanted me to do. Like I thought, I had no clue what to do and the whole conversation fight thing with Edward just killed my ability to think straight. Just as I was about to say fuck it and throw the notebook and textbook out the window Jake came strolling in to my room.
"Whoa, Whoa! Put the school books away and step away from the window." Jake exclaimed with a smile on his face.
"Jake thank God you are here; I have too much on my mind right now that I can't even think straight! There is no way that I am able to remember even a little of what we did in math today." I cried throwing my books on my bed in frustration.
"Well, well, well. Aren't you happy that I begged my dad to let me go to Forks High instead of the little four room school on the Res?"
"Yes I really am. I wouldn't be able to pass math without your genius." I said half joking and half being serious.
"Laugh it up Swan, keep it up and I won't help you at all." Jake said slowly backing away and towards the door.
"Please don't leave me! If I let you be the first to hear about my fight with Edward will you stay?"
"Honey, if you tell me first than I will do the whole homework assignment for you." Jake says jumping from the doorway onto my bed.
He listens patiently and nods and 'uh huh's at the right parts and then waits a couple seconds after he knows that I am finished.
"Honestly honey, it sounds like both of you guys are at fault here. Yes Edward is a horny guy but what guy in high school isn't? And this was the first day of school and really he hasn't seen you that much since you revealed that you wanted to be more girly. Give him some time to adjust. From the little time I have spent with him, he doesn't seem like he really is fond of change and sweetheart, you threw him a curve ball." Jake explained to me. I opened my mouth to plead my case, "I am not placing blame on just you, Swan. He could obviously have handled this better but you are his best friend, his hot best friend now. It seems like he is realizing this fact and clearly doesn't know how to act around you. Both of you are stubborn and extremely hot headed and have each taken each other's jokes as insult when they simply weren't."
When Jake finishes I am somewhat speechless. Edward doesn't know how to act around me? I have to admit that that fact hurts me even more than if he slept with all the girls in Forks High. Edward and I have always had such an easy relationship, never and pressure or second guessing from either him or I.
"And I am all done!" Jake exclaimed. I looked over and saw that he had been doing my math homework the whole time I was explaining what happened and while he was giving his opinion of what happened. I told you he was a math genius.
"Let's call Alice and Rose. Alice gave me a look today at school that told me she expected updates on the rest of my day. I don't mind telling you separately but I would rather just get it done and over with, with those two." I suggested and reached for my phone.
I called Alice first and found out that Rose was actually with her lounging out near the pool. Apparently Edward still wasn't home yet, not that I care or anything.
I asked if they wanted to come over to hang out with Jake and me, I also mentioned that I had some things to tell them. Alice squeaked and said they would be right over. I started putting my homework away and was feeling a little thirsty and hungry so I told Jake to move his ass down to the kitchen.
As I landed on the final step my house phone began to ring and I knew it was Charlie. He is really the only person besides Esme and Carlisle that uses the landline anymore.
"Bella's Pleasure Line, how may I help you today?"
"Jesus Christ Bella, you can't answer the phone that way!" Charlie shouted and spazzed.
"Relax dad! No one calls the house phone but you and the Cullens." I lost is laughing hysterically.
"It doesn't matter! Anyway I just wanted to call and tell you I am working late tonight. Deputy Rogers called out sick.
"Ok dad. Jake is over right now and Alice and Rose will be coming over shortly for a little."
"Really? What happened with going to play basketball with the boys and then getting ice cream? You guys have done that since 5th grade."
"Ugh, I really don't want to take about it right now. Some shit happened at school and just don't feel like dealing with it." I groaned and somewhat explained.
"Ok…ok, I get the hint and Bells?"
"Yeah?"
"Go easy on the boy. He doesn't handle change well, you know that. Well I will see you when I get home later tonight, probably around eleven. Love you." And with that he hung up.
I poured Jake and I some lemon water, opened up a bag of chips and went to sit in the living room to wait for Alice.
We were watching some soap opera waiting for Rose and Alice to get here but just as we were getting into it Hurricane Alice came blowing in and brought Rose with her. Alice plopped right down on the floor in front of me while Rose, rolling her eyes at Alice, sat in Charlie's arm chair.
"Ok Bella, spill! Tell me all about your day and what happened with Edward."
I then proceeded to tell them all about my day, the parts that they didn't see, and ended with the disastrous card ride home. When I told them that I informed Edward that he helped me make a decision on whether or not I should go on a date with him Rose shrieked.
"Bella! Are you really going to tell Mike yes?" Rose asked smiling.
"Yeah, I think I am going to. I mean why can't I go out with him? Yes, he is not Edward but Edward hasn't been too receptive to my changes so why not just get some dating experience. Obviously I am not serious about Mike but I have never even been on a date before. I am turning 18 soon and must be the only person in the world that hasn't been asked out on a date!" I cried out in humiliation.
"Bella there is nothing wrong with not ever dating before. It means that you are special and you know that being in a relationship is something special." Rose explained trying to make me feel better.
"Bella, I don't know if going out with Mike is such a great idea." Alice said hesitantly.
"Why not, Alice? I mean you wanted to use Jake to make Edward jealous. This will certainly make Edward jealous and maybe make him realize his feelings sooner." Rose asked. I just nodded.
"I-I just heard some not good things about him, plus he has always been a dick to everyone." Alice tried to reason with me.
"Alice, this is something I need to do for me. I am not doing this for Edward or for me. I just want to- no I need to know what it feels like to be wanted and to go on a date. You, Rose and even Jake knows what that feels like. I don't! I don't want a relationship with Mike. I just want to be treated nicely and like a pretty girl for one night. That's all this is about. I promise." I told Alice, hoping she would understand a little bit more. It was true that I didn't want a relationship with Mike; I am still too hung up on Edward to want a relationship with anyone else. Just one or a few nights out would be nice though.
With that out of the way Alice and Rose wanted to stay and pick out an outfit for my date with Mike but I told them to slow down a little since Mike doesn't even know that the date is happening. Also we wouldn't be going on the date until Friday or Saturday. Alice demanded that the date be on Saturday so that we would have all day to get ready but I reminded her that Saturdays were they guys and mine day to play basketball. I definitely wasn't going to be missing that. With a pout Alice agreed and shortly after Rose and Alice left to go home since it was around six pm anyway.
As soon as they left Jake and I looked at each other and each let out a big sigh, with a little laugh I got up of the couch and asked Jake if he wanted to stay for some pizza. He shrugged and said sure.
Just as I was picking up my phone to order some pizza there is a knock on my front door. Jake went to open the door and when he saw who it was he turned to me, "Well look who showed up."

E POV
When I arrived at Jasper's house I knocked on the door and his mom opened up and told me that Jasper was in the basement waiting for me. I walk down the stairs and he is lying on his bed watching some show on the history channel. I plop down next to him and he looks at me at me expectantly. He doesn't say anything; he just waits for me to begin. At that moment I don't really feel like talking. I have so many thoughts running through my head I just need to process them by myself first. We end up watching the program in its entirety and get through half of a new one when he turns the volume down and looks at me.
"Well I know you didn't come over here just to watch the history channel so what's up?" he asks.
I first explain everything that went down today with Bella and I. How she wouldn't acknowledge me most of the day and then how when she would talk to me the words would get blown out of proportion both by her and by myself. When I get to the car debacle I feel even worse about everything. I tell him about how Jess and Lauren offered to have a three some and his eyes bug out. After all of that Jasper remains silent for a little.
"I don't know what to do man. I mean, obviously, I know that I fucked up and this isn't completely Bella's fault but everything has changed and I just don't know how to deal with it. Bella has been the one constant that I can rely on and now it's up shit's creek!" I cried out frustrated with everything.
"Ed, how do you feel about Bella? Truthfully?" Jasper asks me.
"I don't even know anymore! She used to be just my best friend and sister, now I am not so sure. Ever since the beginning of the summer something switched in my head. Even before she started becoming 'more girly'; and what the fuck is that all about, huh? She is naturally perfect how she was to begin with."
"Ed, have you ever thought of telling Bella this? It could all work out for the best if you do." Jasper suggested.
"Jazz, I can't do that! I mean what if she doesn't feel the same and it just ruins the friendship we have?"
"I am sure Bella wouldn't make it awkward and ruin your friendship if she doesn't feel the same way. She loves you too much to have that happen; plus you never know, maybe she does feel the same way but thinks you only see her as one of the guys."
"Then why would she agree to date Mike! Mike fucking Newton! He is such an ass hole to all everyone. He only goes out with girls for one thing and Bella is too naive to realize this."
"I don't think she is that naïve dude. For the longest time she was only friends with us three guys. You and Emmett are the quintessential high school guys." Jasper explains.
"I know Jazz. I just know that Bella deserves a guy better than anyone around here. She deserves to be treated like a fucking princess because she is. I also know Mike isn't the guy who will do that. He will just toss her aside once he gets as far as he can or until he gets what he wants. I just can't let that happen to her. It would destroy her and kill me."
"Ed, I don't know what to tell you. You could be that guy that Bella needs and deserves but you have to stop fucking around. Maybe if you become a one woman man Bella will believe you. I probably shouldn't do this but I can see that you are hurting. Bella did confide in me that she did change for a guy. The guy Bella likes is a typical high school boy and is very popular and I guess he is considered good looking. He hasn't really ever had one serious relationship and does see her as a tomboy. She feels that she needs to change in order for him to see her any differently."
"I know I need to change. I don't even really want to look at another girl other than Bella. I haven't since the summer." I told him, possibly whining a little.
"What about Tanya? Dude you guys hooked up all summer as often as you could."
"It honestly wasn't that much. After the first two times not much happened. I realized that I just kept thinking about Bella and it made me sick to my stomach."
"Well than tell her how you feel!" Jasper shouted frustrated.
"I can't right away, if I do tonight she won't believe me and just get even more pissed. I need to get back in her good graces somehow." I had no idea how to do that though.
"Edward, it isn't that hard. Its Bella man! You just need to bring her over some pizza, extra cheese, some Cherry Pepsi and one of her favorite movies. Hell I will even let you borrow the Bone Collector. You know she loves that movie." Jasper offered.
He was right. It was just Bella, well not just but I got the meaning. Who knew Bella better than me!
"Jasper, you are a genius!"
"I know, I know. Now get out of here. Alice is going to come over and we would rather her twin not be in the room with us."
I nod and bolt up the stairs, saying goodbye to Mrs. Whitlock on the way out.
I get to my car and call Mario's Pizza to place an order for a large pizza with extra cheese to go and when I hang up I place another phone call. This time to Jess, yes I do have her number and no I don't want to think about how I got it and why I still have it saved.
"Eddie", she purred, "I knew I would be getting a call from you tonight. Calling about the threesome?"
"Uh, yes I actually am, Jess. I just wanted to let you know that I was saying thanks but no thanks. I am officially done with all of that."
"Oh Eddie you are too funny, you will never be done with women. You are a man don't forget. It is only natural to have urges and I am more than willing to fulfill those urges for you. I am even better because I don't mind sharing you." She cooed.
"Jesus Christ Jess, do you even hear yourself? Have some fucking dignity and pride. I didn't mean I am done with women period, just that I am done with screwing around. I don't want that anymore." I told her trying to make it so that she would understand.
At first I didn't hear anything, then I heard he fucking laughing! "Oh Edward we will see how long that lasts once you realize that girls only want to be with you for one night."
"I guess we will Jess, Oh and do me a favor… lose this number." And with that I hung up on the slutty bitch.
By the time I hung up I was at Mario's Pizza and went in to pick up my order and grabbed the 2 liter of Cherry Pepsi, Bella's favorite, and headed out the door and pulled away in the direction of the Swan residence.
I get to her house and I see that Jake's Rabbit is in the driveway.
Great, it's going to be hard enough getting Bella to listen and accept my apology by herself but I am sure Jake is going to add his input in about the situation. I put the car in park on the street and grab everything out of the car and walk up to her house. I knock on the door and after a couple seconds Jake answers. He seems oddly happy to see me and turns inside the house, "Well, look who showed up."
Bella walks to the door and stops, "What are you doing here?" she asks somewhat coldly yet curiously.
"I came over to make up for what a complete dick I was today. I am honestly so sorry Bells, I can't even explain how much. I brought over pizza, a movie and some soda; I thought we could just hang out." I said sheepishly.
"What kind of pizza?"
"A larger from Mario's… extra cheese."
"What kind of soda"
"Wild Cherry Pepsi"
"Last one, which movie?"
This one I smiled, hoping it would earn me some brownie points, "The Bone Collector."
She gave me a big, wide smile and waved her arm giving me access to come in. When I stepped in Jake looked like he was getting ready to leave.
"Jake you don't have to leave." Bella said pulling on his arm to get him to stay.
"Nah, it's ok you guys have fun." Jake said walking past me, "I'm pulling for ya." He whispered and winked.
What the fuck was that?
I turned to Bella with the pizza box in my hand, smiled sheepishly and shrugged. Bella smiled back and took the pizza and soda and walked into the kitchen, "Turn on the TV and get the movie going." She said.
I did as she said and sat down at my usual spot on the coach enjoying the feeling on normality once again. Bella came walking into the living room with the plates of pizza and two cups. She sat down right next to me and all I could do was try not to reach over and pull her under my arm.
"So why were you over at Jasper's house?" Bella asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Well I know that Jasper is the only one that has the Bone Collector. As a matter of fact, you have never ever volunteered to watch the Bone Collector. You call it corny and overly dramatic." She said laughing.
"Oh well after the shit day I had I needed help to putting things into perspective. Jazz is good for that." I shrugged.
"Oh don't I know that." She replied and then turned towards her pizza and the movie that was just starting. I wondered what she meant.
"Bells, I am really sorry about today. All I can say is that today, with the help of Jasper, I was able to put a lot of things into perspective and realize what is important to me and who is also. Things are going to be different now and I really hope we can just forget about everything that happened today? I really need you in my life. You're my best friend." I pleaded hoping she would say ok.
After a long pause, "Of course I forgive you, it wasn't all your fault Edward."
I let out a sigh of relief and settled in to watch a movie that I really somewhat enjoy.

Oh how I wish we could be more….
Hey guys! So this is chapter 17. It is un beta'ed I did find someone to help me I just wanted to get this chapter out to you as soon as possible. Hopefully this chapter will redeem Edward in some of your eyes. I had this planned for while so I hope some of you don't think I wrote his POV just to gain him some popularity back.
