Hey guys. I am trying to move things along a little faster for you so that means longer and more action-y chapters. From here on out it will be mostly in Bella's point of view unless there is something that I feel Edward needs to explain. This is Bella's story after all.

! #$%^&*()_+

We ended up passing out on each other and only woke up because my dad came home and wanted me to go to bed. Even though it has happened multiple times, it is always a little awkward to say the least. Since it was a little late, Charlie said that if Edward was too tired to drive he could stay over in the guest room. Edward said he was fine and gave me a hug and a kiss on the head goodbye, saying he would pick me up in the morning and nodding his farewell to Charlie.

Charlie then looked at me with a smirk on his face. "I guess whatever happened blew over and you two made up?"

I just smiled sleepily and nodded.

"Get to bed. Good night Bells."

And with that, I walked up my stairs went right into a dreamless night's sleep.

The rest of the week went by pretty fast. On Tuesday, I told Mike that I would like to go out on a date with him, and he seemed pretty excited. He told me he would pick me up at seven on Friday night. When I told this to everybody at lunch, they all seemed pretty happy for me. Edward had a sour look that he thought I had missed, but he changed it quickly into a half smile.

"I hope you have a good time, Bells. Maybe you guys can come to the party that Tyler is throwing after," Edward said hopefully.

"Yeah I will bring it up. Mike won't tell me where or what we are doing, so who knows," I said with a huge smile. I, Bella Swan, was finally going on a date! OK, so sue me, I was excited, did I want the date to be with Edward, yes, but that wasn't going to happen. Before I could let myself get upset over Edward, Rose and pull me into a conversation about how to do my hair and what I was going to wear.

"Of course, if we knew where he was taking you, we would be able to pick out an outfit," Alice complained.

"Alice, this is Forks, not some big city where there is tons to do. We are probably going to just go to dinner and a movie," I said, knowing not to expect too much from this date.

"It doesn't matter, Bella. You still need to look cute. It's your first date! It is a big deal." Alice squealed loudly, bringing unwanted attention to our table and to me.

"Alice, please be quiet! I am already the talk of the school from changing and agreeing to this date. I do NOT need everyone knowing how much of a loser I am for never having gone going on a date before," I pleaded to Alice. I knew she was just being a good friend and excited for me but I still hated being the center of attention.

"Bella, once again, you are not a loser. If anything, I wish I was more like you. You know how important it is to be in an actual caring relationship and haven't gone back on your values just to fit in," Rose told me, trying to make me to feel better.

"Thanks Rose, I know., I mean I am definitely glad I am not loose like someone when know, but I wish I had a little more experience to go off of." I tried to explain.

Rose was about to say something when Emmett's voice got louder, interrupting our conversation.

"Damn, Eddie, what did you do to Lauren and Jess? They are staring hard core. I can't tell if they want you dead or want your dick."

I looked up, finding Jess glaring at Edward, and Lauren, I guess, trying to look seductively at him. I turned toward Edward and saw him shiver. "Yeah, I can imagine Jess is pissed off at me. They offered me a threesome, but I called Jess and turned them down. I also told them to have some self-respect. Lauren, I think, is trying to make me reconsider. Can anyone tell me what I saw in them again?"

"Hold on, hold on. You turned down a threesome?" Emmett shouted. "Why the hell would you do that?"

"I am over just hooking up with people. I think I want to actually be in a relationship, something meaningful," he explained, looking around at our group. I may have been imagining things, but I swear he looked at me the longest. It was kind of like he was trying to tell me something.

Emmett looked likesomeone told him the candy store closed down. He just lost his wingman.

Rose didn't believe him, telling him that, "she will believe it when she sees it."

Alice and Jasper looked proud, and Jake was looking at me, trying to read what I was thinking.

"So, Edward, now that you are done with easy women, is there anyone that you have your sights on?" Jake asked, trying to get the gossip.

Edward shrugged. "There is someone, but I doubt she notices me that way."

After that lunch, the week seemed to go by fairly quickly and uneventful. The four W's were very pleased to hear that I did actually say yes to Mike and were sickeningly sweet to me, which was starting to piss me off. It was Thursday afternoon when I had finally had enough of the fake compliments.

"Thank you so much for letting me know how to wear my make up for my date tonight, but I have just one suggestion, Lauren," I said smiling up at the fake bitch, who I was currently killing very violently in my mind.

"Oh sure, Bella, what's up?" Lauren responded, shocked that I actually had something to contribute in the brainless, dull conversation.

"Well, it's actually for all of you. Why don't all of you mind your own fucking business and stop caring about mine? Also, why don't you go somewhere where you are actually wanted and appreciated for what you girls do best? I would suggest either a bedroom or even closer than that, underneath the bleachers. Leave me the fuck alone," I told them.

As I spun around to leave, I heard Emmett bellowed out his laughter, so I looked over at him and give him a wink, letting him know I was fine.

I walked into biology, taking my seat, and waited for Edward to come in. Edward wasn't around when I went off, but I wasn't stupid enough to think he wouldn't have heard about it. I heard Lauren's nasally voice complaining about me, so I looked up and saw she was talking to Edward. He looked amused and clearly was trying very hard not to laugh in her face.

"Edward, why don't you come sit with me at my table? That way you can have some real company," Lauren said, trying to get another rise out of me and to put me in my place.

"Uh, no," came his response.

He excused himself and quickly walked over to our table. When he took a seat, he leaned over and whispered into my ear, "You are my hero, Bells." I couldn't help shivering at the feeling of him speaking quietly into my ear.

I giggled and shrugged when I heard Lauren once it was obvious that Edward wasn't upset with me over what I said.

"What made you snap? I know it takes a lot for you to lose it," Edward asked with a little concern in his eyes. Always the protective big brother.

"Nothing really. She was just being her usual annoying bitchy self. I was able to tune her out until she made a good point," I explained.

'What did she say? Just remember anything she says is a straight lie."

"Not this time, Edward," I sighed

"Well what was it?" he repeated.

"She was saying how I needed to be really attentive on my date with Mike. I needed to make him feel superior, especially since I don't have any experience, like none whatsoever. I just got embarrassed because she practically laughed in my face when she said this. I'm pathetic," I said and slammed my head down on top of my desk.

"Bells, you are not pathetic. If anything I think that makes you better than the other girls."

"Yeah right, I am not stupid, Edward,' I said, interrupting him, 'Guys don't want girls with no experience. You are the perfect example! Look how many girls you have gone out with- all of them are not exactly newbies at dating. Why would a guy want to date some girl like me when they could have more experienced girls? You wouldn't,"

"Yes I would, in a heartbeat. Looks like you don't know me as well as you think. Yes, I have dated easy women, but I don't want that now. I want someone that is worth the wait and isn't too eager to throw what they believe away."

I sat stunned, not knowing what to say or how to respond. Our teacher was a god send because he had walked in at the right time and started to lecture. Once the class was over, I stood up but Edward was trying to stay behind.

"You go to the car without me. I need to ask someone something."

I gave him this look that showed my disbelief.

"I won't be long just go on without me, everything is good. I just want to talk to my teacher about a paper that was given today."

I nodded, somewhat believing him, and walked towards my locker. I put all the books that I didn't need away and started towards the parking lot to wait for Edward.

When I reached his car,I leaned against the door and looked around. It seemed everyone was pairing up, except for me. Alice and Jasper had been together since middle school, Rose and Emmett (they thought they had everyone fooled), and Angela and Ben. I was the lone outlier with my friends; it really was pathetic. I started looking for Edward and saw him walking with Alice and Jasper, and they were all in a serious discussion. I saw them look my way, so I waved but only Alice smiled and waved back.

When they got over to the car, we parted ways, and Alice told me she would call me later because she had something she needed to talk to me about. I told her that would be fine and asked if everything was ok. She assured me everything was fine and then skipped over to Jasper's car, and they quickly sped away. I looked over to Edward who just smiled and got in his car. He leaned over the car, opened my door for me,and I got in.

"Thanks," I said, smiling at him.

"No problem, I figured if I didn't open the door, you would still be standing there looking helpless." was his response.

I looked over and saw him smiling and then hit him lightly, laughing at his face.

"Is that the kind of thanks I get for being a gentleman?"

"No, that's the kind of thanks you get for being an ass."

With that he pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards my house. We were quiet the rest of the drive, me thinking, again, about what Lauren had said about being inexperienced. I tried not to think about it and not let it get to me, but I couldn't lie and say it wasn't.

We pulled up to my house, and he put the car in park and turned to me, "Look Bells, I have been thinking about what Lauren said to you. I don't want you to think that just because you haven't found someone that realizes how great you are that you should just throw caution to the wind. You are amazing, and I think you should wait for someone to realize that. Well, I just wanted to let you know that," Edward said and then looked down at his lap. I was shocked; Edward has always been great to me but never sentimental like that.

I whispered my thanks, and without thinking, I leaned in and kissed his cheek. When I felt a zing of electricity run from his cheek to my lips, I pulled away quickly and yelled sorry as I bolted from his car to my front door. Once I got into my house, I slid down the door and covered my face. What had I just done? I kissed my best friend! OK,OK, yes it was just on the cheek, and yes, I had been trying to get him to notice me,but that wasn't part of the plan.

When I had calmed down a little, I figured I would just start my homework and wait for Alice to call me. I finished all the homework and went into the kitchen to start dinner for the night. I was just finishing prepping the turkey meatballs when I heard my phone ringing.

I ran into the living room and grabbed my phone. "Hey Alice, what is so important that you couldn't tell me earlier?"

"I have the perfect idea on how to move things along!" Alice squealed into the phone.

"Well before you start with that idea, I need to tell you that I may have ruined all your hard work."

"Why? What did you do? What did you say?"

"Um, Edward said some really nice and sweet things, and before I knew what I was doing, I leaned over and kissed his cheek," I said rushed and closed my eyes waiting for the scream.

"OMG! Bella, this goes perfectly along with my plan! What did Edward say or do after? What was his face like?"

"I was so mortified that I didn't stick around for the much longer. I apologized and then ran into my house. How does this go along with your plan?"

"Well you know how Lauren brought up that you were a newbie to everything dating and boys? Well you just need to become an un-newbie!"

"Well that is the point of me dating Mike," I said stating the obvious, walking into the kitchen, leaning my hip against the kitchen counter next to my sink.

"No! I mean yes that was the point of dating Mike, but it would be helpful if you knew a little about what you are doing before your date with Mike."

"Alice, how would that happen? My date is tomorrow night, just in case you forgot." I stated, getting frustrated.

"Edward!"

"No!"

"Bella, you just have to mention that you feel uncomfortable giving Mike your first kiss. He will pick up on it right away and will probably jump at the offer!" Alice squealed.

"And if he doesn't? Then what do I do? I will look like a stupid insecure little girl," I said, pouring the spaghetti into the colander in the sink.

"Then you just suggest how you were wondering if you two could kiss and that you want it to be with someone who means something to you. If he asks you why not Jake or Emmett then you tell him they are like brothers to you, and it would be weird. That way it also puts the idea that you don't see him as a brother into his head," Alice explained. Wow she had really thought this through.

"Well, when do I bring this up to him? My date is tomorrow!" I really did like the idea of kissing Edward and him being my first kiss. I just hoped he would take the bait.

"You can ask him when he picks you up in the morning, if he doesn't ask you first."

"Wait, what?"

"Well I may have put the idea into his head already. He was worried about how much of a novice you are and voiced his worry to Jas and me, so I told him that if he was worried about it so much to do something about it. The look on his face was priceless. I swear he fucking blushed!" Alice said laughing, "So yeah, I told him that you probably didn't want your first kiss to be with some date that you didn't even like that much. You could see the gears turning in his head."

'Oh boy, the car ride tomorrow will be awkward.'

I was just checking on the meatballs, listening to Alice chatter about useless gossip about the school day when I saw my dad calling me. I told Alice I needed to get off the phone and would call her back when my dad was done.

"Hey, Dad, I am just about finished with dinner. When are you going to be home?" I asked him.

"That's why I am calling, Kid. There was a major accident on the 101. A lumber truck backed out of their yard and right into a car, and then another car ran into the first car. We got called in to help with traffic and whatever, needs to be done. It's going to be a late night again," my dad yelled over sirens; I guess he was at the scene already.

"That's ok, Dad. The life of a police chief's daughter," I said, trying to make light of yet another dinner alone.

"Maybe you could call one of your friends?" Dad suggested

"No, Alice is probably hanging out with Jasper and god knows what Rose and Emmett are doing." I sighed.

"What about Edward? I know Esme is out in Port Angeles, and I am sure Carlisle is getting called in as we speak." Light bulb just went off.

"What a great idea Dad! I will go call him right now. I'm sure you have to get back to the scene. Don't forget to let me know when you get in. You know I worry about you," I said, excited. I may have a way to speed up Plan B.

As soon as I hung up with Charlie, I called Alice and told her of my new plan, and she agreed that it was perfect. We hung up and I called Edward.

"Hey Bells, what's up?" He answered after two rings

"Hey, I just made dinner for Charlie and me, but he was called to supervise some accident on the 101 and won't be home until much later. He mentioned how Carlisle was probably going to be called, and I figured why waste a good meal, so I wanted to know if you wanted to come over."

"Bella, when would I ever turn down one of your meals? I will be right over. What are we having?" Edward asked.

I knew I couldn't tell him that the meatballs were turkey,so I just figured I wouldn't tell him the full meal. "I made spaghetti and meatballs with my pasta sauce."

I head him moan and groan and that sound made my insides clench, and I couldn't help but blush. "Save that moaning for your girl."

"Bells, you know you are my girl." There went the blush again.

"Shut up and just come over." I chuckled, hung up, and grabbed two bowls and two sets of silver ware. I pulled out the meatballs and dumped them in the bowl of pasta, threw my pasta sauce on top and put them on the table. I grabbed two glasses and put them at the table also when Edward strolled into the kitchen.

"Sup?"

"Dinner is ready!"

We ate dinner in relative silence with occasional moans and praises from Edward. Apparently my turkey meatballs were the best he'd ever had, and yes, I made some cracks about him liking meaty balls in his mouth. After dinner I pulled out the ice cream container and two spoons, telling him to meet me in the living room. He sat down first, and when I sat next to him, he grabbed my legs and pulled them over his lap then grabbed the ice cream container and put it in between my legs. We had sat like this a few times before but now something was different. A tension was in the room that had never been there before. Finally, after a few seconds of pure silence, Edward turned on the TV and picked ESPN and watched some highlights of a baseball game.

About half an hour after we sat down on the coach and a good chunk of the ice cream gone, Edward turned to me. "Bella, I have been thinking about what you were talking about in the car this afternoon. I don't want your first kiss to be with someone who doesn't know how special you are. I know it's just a kiss, but if it means something to you then it should mean something to the person that you choose to kiss."

"What are you trying to say? I mean I know that you understand how I feel, but I have a date with Mike tomorrow night. If I don't at least kiss him, I will get a reputation as a frigid bitch. What can I do? I mean, you are the only guy who understands how I feel. Should I kiss you?"

"Why not?" Edward said right after I was done. Wait, what?

"What?" I asked, confused. Was it supposed to be this easy?

"Why can't it be me? Bella, I am your best friend, and you are mine! I care about everything that you care about. I mean it just makes sense doesn't it?" Edward said, pleadingly.

"Ok."

"Ok? Are you sure?"

"Edward, you were just pleading this case, and now that I agree, you are changing your mind," I cried out, irritated.

"Sorry, I just want to make sure that you are OK and not just going along with the idea," Edward stammered, if he had any idea how ok I was.

"I'm fine with that. I'm actually glad it's you." I reassured him. "So when did you want to do it?"

"Do it?! I was just talking about a kiss! I didn't think you would be ready for sex!"

"I meant the kiss, you idiot," I said, laughing.

"Well first things first, don't insult the guy you are going to kiss. How about right now? No time like the present, right?" Edward suggested.

Now? I mean yes that was the plan but I don't know now… "OK." WHAT!

"Bells, you're going to have to actually be close to me for this to work," he said teasing me.

I scooted closer to him. I could smell his cologne and damn did it smell good. "Did you just smell me?" he laughed.

"It's not my fault your cologne is overpoweringly delicious." I widened my eyes; delicious wasn't supposed to come out. I saw his eyes slightly darken and didn't know what to say.

He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. "Just close your eyes ok?"

I did as he asked and waited for what felt like an hour. I felt his hand come up and rest on my cheek, with his other hand he lifted my chin up to him; our noses were almost touching. I felt his slow and steady breath on my lips and I couldn't wait anymore. I parted my lips and I leaned into him. His lips pressed to mine softly; his hands went to the back of my head pulling me closer. His lips were strong and soft against mine. I tasted my red sauce with a mix of mint on his lips and moaned. At the sound of my moan, he pulled away briefly only to initiate another kiss. This time I parted my lips even more and bravely licked the bottom of his lip.

I knew what to do because Alice made me read some trashy romance novel.

This time I heard him groan, and he opened his lips, and before I knew what was happening, I was lying on my back with Edward hovering on top of me. Pinch me I must be dreaming. He caressed my tongue with his, and holy shit, it was hot. I felt his hip slide in between my legs, and I felt the need for friction. I honestly just went with what felt natural. I lifted my hips up and brushed his. I felt something hard and instantly knew what it was. Edward was actually enjoying making out with me! He started grinding his hips with mine, but I guess once he realized what was happening, he snapped out of it. He jumped off me and towards the end of the couch.

"So yeah, I think you got the hang of it. I, uh, I better go. I will see you tomorrow. Thank you for dinner, Bells," Edward said getting off the couch, grabbing his keys, and almost ran out the door.

What the hell happened? Did I do something wrong? I felt tears pull in my eyes and willed myself to calm down. Once I knew I wouldn't cry, pulled out my phone and called Alice. She didn't answer and then I remembered she was probably hanging out with Jasper, and I didn't want to disturb her. I called Rose instead.

"Hey,honey, what's up?" She answered.

My resolve wasn't as strong as I thought it was, and I broke down crying and explained everything to her. Rose waited patiently until I was finished having a mini break down to talk to me. "Ok, first, you shouldn't be crying. This is a good thing! You full on dry humped Edward! He even got hard, Chica. He probably was startled because as far as he knows, you only consider him as your best friend. He is probably embarrassed and worried you won't want to talk to him ever again."

"Rose, I don't know. What if he thinks it was all a huge mistake and never wants to talk to me again!"

"Bitch, please, it is so fuckin obvious you both are in love with each other and are just too blind to notice. Why do you think Mike wants to go out with you? He is trying to one up Edward. From what Emmett has told me, those two have always had a rivalry or something. If Mike gets you then he will have the one thing Edward truly wants but never got," Rose told me, giving me the straight up truth.

"So I am just some prize of Mike? Thanks, Rose," I said getting pissed.

"Hey! It got you a hot make out session with your 'one true love' didn't it?" she said in a bossy tone.

"Yes, but it also got me him running out of my house with him not even being able to look at me! What am I supposed to do tomorrow when he comes and picks me up?" I cried into the phone.

"If he picks you up."

"Rose!" Great now on top of my upcoming date with Mike, I have to worry about whether or not Edward will be picking me up tomorrow.

"I'm sorry, Chica. Look I have to go… my mom is calling me to come down stairs. Love you."

"Love you too, Rose. I guess I will talk to you tomorrow." I sighed. I knew I wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight. We hung up, and I decided to turn on Sherlock on Netflix to catch up on Benedict Cumberbatch and his mysterious good looks. I noticed there was some ice cream still in the container and picked up my spoon and got to work. 'What a wonderful night.' I sighed internally. At eleven o'clock, I threw out the container, turned off Netflix, and went up to bed. Charlie came home a little after midnight, and then I finally dozed off with thoughts of Edward that I didn't want in my mind.
