Hiei could count the times he had seen the fox bloody. When the fox fought Karasue, Hiei had never seen the fox bleed that much. When he got to be able to touch the demon Hiei tried to feed as much spare energy into Kurama as he could. Healing was still slow and the fox demon tired easily. Hs blood loss was great. The only reason Kurama didn't have scars Is because of all of the plants e had used to cover the wounds. Hiei helped care for the fox and became extremely close to him because of it.
