Chapter 7: Fooled
A/N: I hope you weren't bothered by the fact it took me long to update.. or maybe it was just me that felt I left off the next chapter

So here I go (here it goes):
After driving for a long time, Team Stax finally arrived at their location. The X-Scaper landed near the place where Ky and Ekayon had visited earlier.
"Are you coming with us, Boomer?" Maya asked him as she went down the stairs.
"I'll stay here, so nothing happens to the X-Scaper."
"Ok then. Take care." Ky told Boomer. Ky and Maya headed towards the cave, and stopped as they saw the floating platforms leading to a cave flying mid-air. Maya gasped.
"I didn't know that while you were gone, Ky, you saw something so beautiful..."
"I know, it is. But we need to get to the cave. That's our priority. We''ll use Time Dodge this time. Ready?" Maya nodded.
"Here it goes... Time Dodge!" In an instant, Ky and Maya were at the top.
"Follow me, My." Ky lead Maya around the place, until they got to the opening of the chamber where the kairu was.
"Now you just have to climb up, get inside that small opening and we're in." As they climbed up, Ky stopped for a second, looking inside. Then, he jumped back down.
"Ky, what's the matter?"
"That didn't seem right. There was no kairu inside... maybe we went in the wrong direction." Ky said.
"Well, allow me to lead." Maya slid back down from where she was, and closed her eyes. Finally, she tracked down the kairu they were looking for.
"Ky, the kairu is moving... but not like when we encountered Zair.. and it's a pretty huge load of it!"
"Wait a sec... that means..." Ky ran as fast as he could, going in the direction they came from.
"Ky, wait!" Maya followed Ky, trying to keep up, but Ky was moving fast. They went outside the cave to see Techris going down the platforms, and they followed him. But unlike Ky expected, he had no Prism Kairu in his hands. The chase stopped, and the Techris they were chasing disappeared.
From a distance, the real Techris was watching, using his aura to levitate all the Kairu he had stolen. He grinned. Idiots, he thought. Now, I just have to get down and I escape with all the Kairu.
He flew down, landing safely on a steep mountain, heading towards his other teammates.
He finally encountered Zair and Zane and they all gathered together.
"So you're telling me that you tricked Team Stax with a hologram that had Kairu, that Maya tracked the hologram down even though it WASN'T actually you, and that you escaped bringing ALL the kairu in that chamber? Wow, that's pretty impressive!" Zair congratulated him. Techris stopped levitating the Prism Kairu, which fell to the ground.
Zane looked jealous. "Next time I'll do a job even better than you did!" His own comment made him proud again, but Techris had a look in his face showing that he didn't care.
"Well, what can I say? It was all thanks to Lokar." Techris said.
And inside their heads, they heard a tiny voice say, "Sure, I survived the destruction of my castle, but that does not mean I still can't rule the universe. And all thanks to my best team, which will keep me safe from them..."
