Chapter 11: Terrifying Surprise
"Let go of Maya, Zane!" Ky shouted. He reached for Zane's arm, but Zane grabbed Ky, letting go of Maya.
"Be careful to not misplace your hands like that again, or I'll beat you." Zane pushed Ky away, making Ky land on the ground. "No way! How was Zane strong enough to do that?" Ky thought.
"Hey, no one does that to Ky, ZANE! Kairu Challenge!" Boomer said. Zane grunted, but stood up.
"Challenge Accepted." As the sky turned blue, Zane said: "You're going down." Ky looked up.
"Froztok!" Boomer called out. He absorbed his monster's energy and landed, Froztok appearing behind him. "I've got your back, Boom. Ky, stay put!" Maya said.
"Harrier!" Maya called out. She absorbed her monster's energy and landed, Harrier appearing behind her. Zane smirked. "You have the same boring tricks, but I have something better."
"Bruteron!" Zane called out. He absorbed his monster's energy and landed, Bruteron appearing behind him. Zane's black aura glowed, seeping into his hands. "Take that, TEAM STAX!" Zane shot his aura's energy from his hands. Maya and Boomer's eyes widened, and the attack hit them, blowing up the ground and throwing the X-Scaper away.
"I might not be prepared, but I'm gonna do something to stop Zane." Ky thought. He stood up. Zane looked at Ky, and laughed. "You REALLY think you're going to bring me down?"
Ky ignored Zane, and closed his eyes. He focused his energy. He knew he had to get this right, or they might end up getting beaten by Zane... or worse.
When Ky was sure he had enough energy, he opened his eyes. Ky suddenly beamed with kairu. Zane seemed to be scared. "You're not gonna..." Zane said. It was obvious he was scared now.
And Ky delivered a powerful blow of Kairu energy from his hands, hitting Zane and cracking the ground below Zane as he flew off from the attack and landed on the ground miles away. Maya and Boomer had watched it all.
"Woah, Ky! Thanks!" Boomer shouted from afar. Ky smiled. "Now are we going to take Zane down or what?" Ky asked. "We sure will. HARRIER!" Maya called out, transforming into Harrier. Harrier flew up after transforming. "Come back here, Zane, or are you a coward?" Harrier said, teasing Zane. Zane got up from where he was. "Bruteron!" Zane transformed into Bruteron.
"It's not over, Team Stax. Terror Eyes!" The attack seemed to be larger now, and although Harrier dodged it, it hit the ground very hard. "Be careful, My!" Boomer shouted. Harrier nodded.
"Get a taste of this! Lightning Storm! Oblivion Blast! Oblivion Storm!" Lightning Storm shot out from the sky like always, but with it it also shot Oblivion Blast. Bruteron tried to avoid it, but he ended up getting hit, and badly. He landed on the ground. Harrier landed. "That combination attack was great, My!" "Thanks, Boomer."
Just when Team Stax thought they had won, though, Bruteron stood up. "You won't win this time, TEAM STAX! Paralysis Spray!" Zane shouted, the blue spray emerging from his hands and hitting Team Stax, encasing them in a bubble. They tried to get out. "Oh great, not again!" Boomer said. "If I hit the bubble with an attack strong enough to break it, it will create an explosion bigger than if I had hit them with Titanium Hammer only. And that should keep them down!" Bruteron thought.
"And it's great that this happened again, 'cause you're about to lose! Titanium Hammer!" The attack seemed to be heavier than usual, and it glowed with a black aura. It exploded the bubble and hit Team Stax with a heavy KABOOM! Bruteron transformed back into Zane. He smirked.
"And if you think you're going to get the Prism Kairu from us, think again, Team Stax!" Zane teleported away. The sky turned back to normal, and Harrier turned into Maya. Suddenly the ground creaked, and cracked, burying Team Stax. The exit was miles up, and it wasn't reachable.
"Oh great. Team Radikor are proving to be better this time." Ky said.
"It's not your fault, guys! I mean, what the heck was I doing? I did nothing." Boomer said.
"That's ok, Boom. We don't blame you for our loss. But to make you feel better, come up with a way to get us out of here." Maya said.
"How about Anti-Grav?" Boomer suggested. Ky nodded. "That should be good enough."
"Anti-Grav!" The attack took Maya and Ky up. "Boomer, grab on!" Maya said, extending a hand to Boomer. Boomer grabbed it and pulled himself in. The attack floated up further and hit the ground above them. It started to lift itself up the debris until it finally reached the surface, and landed. It disappeared, and Team Stax was back up again. "Phew, I'm glad we're out of there." Ky said. They started to head towards the X-Scaper. Boomer stopped them.
The X-Scaper was scratched from the sides, and some of the yellow paint faded off.
"Guys, just look at the ship! It looks like it got scratched from the attack Zane threw at me and Maya!" Ky's eyes widened. Maya sighed. "Mookee's not gonna be happy about this."
