Chapter 16: The first Prism Kairu deposit

A/N: Okay... I just noticed I did lots of mistakes in my last chapter. I'm like an author who can write great stories but makes only somewhat sense.

Maybe I could write a story about guinea pigs and Team Stax... xD LOL.

But why am I babbling here? 3...2..1, and START!

Team Stax had gotten to the ship now. Boomer quickly got up the stairs.

He turned around. "Woohoo!" He cheered. "We surely have a victory now, at least one!" Ky and Maya had gotten up and smiled at him.

"I really appreciate your enthusiasm, but let's not forget to cheer for Maya as well." Ky said. They turned around.

"Folks, let's give this young lady a round of applause!" Boomer announced, clapping along with Ky. Maya laughed. "That's very sweet of you guys." She said.

However, a sound was heard from the ship controls. They all headed there to look.

"Hey look guys, a new Kairu deposit in Guatemala!" Ky said.

"I think you should say "Prism Kairu" since-" Maya said, but was cut off by Ky, who said:

"Yes, I know, since the Prism Kairu got scattered around the world." Maya frowned. "Ky, don't cut me off!"

Ky grinned. "No harm done, My." Maya smiled.

"Ok, now let's get that Prism Kairu!" Boomer sat on the pilot seat and started the engines. The X-Scaper flew off.

Techris and Silv were walking towards the relic. Silv had her X-Reader in hand, leading Techris.

Silv rolled her eyes. "Why couldn't I go with Zane?" She said. Techris laughed. "No such luck. Zane has other important things to do."

Soon they stopped.

Silv looked closely at her X-Reader. "Is something going wrong?" Techris asked. Silv sighed.

"Something's going on." She said. "Didn't you say you were good at finding kairu?" Techris asked.

"I am, it's just that... well... the relic's under a big object," Silv admitted. "so we'll have some trouble finding it. Good thing you came, though."

Techris nodded. "We can just move it out of the way." They continued looking for the relic.

Team Stax was walking to the relic. Maya had her eyes closed, carefully tracking the kairu. She turned around, opening her eyes.

"Guys, the relic's under something huge. I'm not sure if we'll be able to do anything about it." She said. Ky lifted an eyebrow. "Under what?"

"Well, since the relic is near, and since we're in Peten, that means it must be... under the first Tikal temple." She reasoned.

"You guys got any other ideas on how we'll get the relic out of there? My plan is to dig the relic out." She looked at Ky and Boomer, who looked at each other.

Clueless, they just grinned and faced Maya. "Uh, maybe we'll go with your plan. We don't have any ideas." Boomer said. Maya smiled. "That's just proof of how much you guys need me." She laughed.

Team Stax continued searching for the relic.

Silv was getting ready to cast another attack on the temple. She cracked her knuckles and placed her hands on the stony surface. "LIGHTNING TRASH!"

The red lighting shot crazily from her hands, hitting the ground and stone. It then covered the areas it hit in red lightning, and exploded. But so far, the temple had taken no damage.

Techris laughed. "Lokar should have told you about inner kairu." Silv turned around to face him.

"Inner kairu?" She asked. "It's the kairu inside of you that gives you energy, basically." Techris said. "We can both channel our kairu on the temple and make it move just enough so we can get the relic."

Silv raised an eyebrow. "I thought you we're the dumb guy of the team." She said.

"I learned that tip from Maya when she was evil, about a year or two ago." Techris said. "She said almost the same thing, and her plan worked."

"Tell me more." Techris continued:

"I also found it cool that she could track kairu with her inner senses, and I wanted to learn. She never taught me how to, but she referred me to a book that explained how kairu warriors in the stone ages could smell kairu, so I read it."

"That's interesting. Not only do you track kairu by smelling it, you also like Maya." Silv said.

Silence.

"I used to. But I always get friendzoned by girls anyway. So I don't bother." Techris replied.

Silv laughed. "Friendzoned. Horrible thing. Anyways, let's move this relic." Techris nodded.

They faced the pyramid. "Ok, so your inner kairu right now is basically your aura, so you just project it at the pyramid. If it looks like it's glowing, that means you can levitate it." Techris explained.

Both kairu warriors had a hold of the pyramid and had moved it a little when suddenly, a voice said: "Stop right there, RADIKOR!"

Techris and Silv turned around. It was Team Stax. Ky had said "Stop right there" and Boomer and Maya we're in defensive positions.

"So it's Team Stax? Well, guess what... STAX DONT STAND A CHANCE. KAIRU CHALLENGE!" Silv said. Ky grinned. "Challenge Accepted." Everyone put their fists together.

The sky turned blue, as lightning and thunder surrounded the area. Birds were taking cover.

Silv got out her X-Reader. "DEVOLF!" She shouted. She transformed into her monster and landed. It was a white wolf, with purple glowing streaks on it's fur. It had yellow eyes and large teeth, intimidating enough for Team Stax to stand back a bit.

"MANEGLOR!" Techris shouted. He transformed into his monster and landed.

Now it was Team Stax's turn to stack up. "METANOID!" Ky shouted. His monster appeared behind him as he landed.

"HARRIER!" Maya shouted. Her monster appeared behind her as she landed.

"FROZTOK!" Boomer shouted. His monster appeared behind him as he landed.

"Good luck trying to take us down..." Devolf said. It had a voice that sounded like a ferocious male wolf, mixed with Silv's own voice.

Ky stepped back. "Trouble, guys." Maya nodded. "Let's see what works on her first. Hyper Hurricane!" Maya spun around as red winds covered her, forming the hurricane. She advanced towards Devolf.

Devolf snarled. "You don't know ANYTHING about ME. SHADOW PELT!" Devolf became a shadow, setting on the ground. Hyper Hurricane suddenly stopped as Maya dropped from the sky and landed safely.

Maya looked around. "Where is Devolf?" She looked around and saw a huge shadow of Devolf approaching her. Maya gasped. She jumped away from it, but it was too late.

Devolf jumped out of the ground, catching Maya with her claws. They were both up in the air, and Maya was screaming "HELP!".

"MAYA!" Ky shouted. "METANOID!" He quickly shouted out his monster and became Metanoid.

Then, Metanoid quickly sprung up from the ground and took Maya away from Devolf. Both Devolf and Metanoid landed. Devolf growled.

"Surprised, Maya? My monster masters the art of surprise!" Devolf took a step forward.

"MANEGLOR, FINISH THEM FAST!" Devolf shouted. Maneglor laughed. "Perfect time to strike them in the face. MASSIVE BRIMSTONE!" Maneglor shot the attack from his bigger arms.

The attack advanced until Boomer finally took a stand. "Whatever you guys want to attack us with is fine with me, since I'm not staying idle! TIDAL FORCE!" The attack countered Massive Brimstone, and the water rose above the rocks, hitting Devolf and Maneglor.

The water went down and disappeared, revealing the two monsters. Devolf's fur was wet. Devolf and Maneglor stood up. "Good counter-attack, but that is NOT shutting me down! Howling Thunder!" Devolf shone green, as she stepped back and ran forward. Her mouth opened as she howled, attacking Team Stax with green thunder.

Metanoid dropped Maya. "Step back, My." Maya stepped back. "SOLAR FLARE!" The attack rushed forward, meeting Howling Thunder, but the fire was absorbed by Howling Thunder, hitting Metanoid. Maya gasped. "How did she do that?"

Devolf laughed. "You're not telling me you did not know that "Howling" was codename for "absorbing"? I howl in that attack to absorb any other attacks that want to counter it!" Devolf explained. She turned around. "MANEGLOR, KILLING BLOW!" She ordered. "AND I DON'T WANT AN EXCUSE THAT IT'S A NEW ATTACK. USE IT!"

Maneglor raised his hands. "Nightmare!" The attack was speeding up so fast, but Maya had a moment to think: "Strike them with all your strength."

Maya stood up. She gathered up her kairu energy...

..and then it hit Maya. She absorbed the energy of the attack hitting her, and shouted:

"VAMPIRIC NIGHTMARE!" She used the attack and the absorbed energy from Nightmare, plus her inner Shadow Kairu, to strike the enemy, pounding them hard, beating them shadow to shadow.

The enemy had transformed back into their normal forms, and fled in defeat. Metanoid went back to Ky. Boomer and Ky ran up to her.

"My, that was... better than anything I could do." Ky complimented. Maya smiled. "Using my powers like that is not what I usually do. So please, don't flatter me."

Boomer smiled. "Whatever you say, My. By the way, about the Devolf girl, I propose.."

Ky and Maya turned around. "Propose what?" Ky asked.

"I propose we should nickname her "crazy wolf" because you know, she's crazy... and it scares me how she shouted at Techris." Boomer said, backing off a bit.

"Then it's crazy wolf alright!" Ky said.

"Guys, let's get the relic out of the ground and drain it so we can go back to our ship." Maya said. Ky and Boomer faced the temple.

They all ran up to the temple. "Ok, we have to use our inner kairu. Focus." Maya said.

The members focused on the temple, and moved it. With the help of Ky and his big inner kairu skills of course, since Ky did move it the most. But finally, the relic was unearthened. The temple was only moved some distance though, and everyone was tired.

Boomer ran up to grab the relic. It was a pendant, covered with markings. Golden energy ran along it. "Guys, the prism kairu is in here!" Boomer lifted the pendant up so that Ky and Maya could see it.

Ky and Maya came. Then, the members drew out their X-Readers and drained the kairu.

"Well, no one got attacks, but I sure feel stronger." Ky said. Maya nodded. "Now we have to move the temple back to it's place." Ky gasped. "I forgot!"

Maya and Boomer looked at each other, and laughed. Then, they focused their inner kairu on the temple once more, moving it back to place.

"Phew, that was tiring." Boomer said.

"But we can go back to the ship now." Ky and his teammates high-fived, and then set for their ship.

"I TOLD YOU WE WERE GONNA LOSE!" Silv shouted, her black aura intensifying. She sighed. "It would have been better if I worked with Zane!" She crossed her arms.

Techris got in front of her. "Calm down, Silv. I'm sure battles like this leave you in hysterics!"

Silv took a deep breath. "You're right. Now let's go back to Zane. I'd like to see what he's up to, since he's our leader." She said. Her voice was sweeter now.

"I am never going to work with her again." Techris thought.

"By the way, like you said, you get friend zoned?" Silv asked. Techris nodded.

"Sorry If I ask this, but do you like Zair?" Silv asked.

"Silv, I- please- please stop asking me these kinds of questions!" Techris said, a bit embarrassed.

Also, Silv is ooc. Wait, actually she acts like this because outside of battle she's sweet and nice, but in battle she becomes a madman, or at least, crazy. And Maya's attack, I don't think she was at full power, so please excuse me for my inconsistencies. Just imagine her pulling off an epic attack.

I'm wasting my time here.
