Chapter One: Revive the Beast

Dave Carter, despite being the son of a nation's leader, was not popular. It might've had something to do with the fact that his father was President and everyone was afraid of him, or it could've just been his personality which he never even talked about. All the friends Dave had were kids of the staff or on the staff themselves.

Recently, though, he was going paranoid because he was having a recurring dream about a monster and a little girl. The little girl kept saying the same thing to him.

"Please, won't you Revive me?" the monster roars and Dave wakes up. Every time. Dave wore a special gem around his neck; he didn't know why he never could take it off though.

Dave went down from his room in the Whitehouse to eat the meal that Desmond, the chef at the house, prepared for them. He greeted Sally, his stepmother with an absentminded kiss on the cheek. He never really knew his real mother; she died just after he was born, which might also explain why Dave grew up without a personality to show. But he was really happy when Sally came into his life.

"Where's dad?" Dave asked.

"He's been working all night on the Radiation Crisis," Sally said. "He still hasn't come out of that room, neither has anyone save for your sister and me."

"I see," Amanda was lying on the floor of the living room like the five year old she was. Her blond hair was sprawled out over the carpet and her blue eyes were wide open. She was a spitting image of her mother. He started to wonder, how much did he get from his mom? He tossed the thought aside as he finished his omelet and went out the door for school. But as he fell asleep on the ride there, he had the dream again.

"Please, won't you Revive me?"
