Chapter 20: Marina is captured!
A/N: None of you saw this coming, right? NONE OF YOU WILL SEE THE EVENTS IN THIS CHAPTER COMING, MUAHAHAHAH!

Also, can I have a HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! please? I'm now 14 years old!
There was a sunset at the monastery; the sky illuminated with shades of purple, orange, and red, the sun being a yellow spot in the distance. However, it also meant that Team Tiro had to finish their battle very soon, since they would need to go to sleep after the battle in order to wake up for next day's lesson.
Gia and Marina were on one side of the training arena, Apex and Balistar on the opposite side. Everyone except Marina was in their monster forms: Gia and Apex looked imposing with Big- Rigs and Trisquad, while Balistar was still confident despite his cute panda monster, Pandor. The challenge was currently going on, Gia and Marina winning so far.
"So, got enough kairu yet? I fended them off as long as I could." Big-Rigs said to Marina.
Marina looked at Big-Rigs. "I do. Stand back." Big Rigs did as she was told. Trisquad and Pandor looked ahead, preparing themselves in defensive stances.
"KAIRU WHIRLWIND!" Marina shouted. She spun as the whirlwind grew bigger and stronger. Pandor and Trisquad's eyes windened as lightning quickkly approached them.
"RUN!" Trisquad shouted as he and Pandor made a run for it, stomping on the ground. The lightning hit them, however. The two monsters collapsed as they transformed back into Apex and Balistar, lying on the ground.
"Nice one!" Big rigs said as she and Marina shared a high-five. Big-Rigs turned back into Gia, and the sky turned back to normal.
Apex moaned, putting one hand on the ground. He lifted himself up. "You two always keep winning!" Apex said. Gia laughed.
"Well, you two probably need to learn to secret of how to be awesome!"
Balistar stood up, rubbing his head, and then looking at Marina. "The problem is, when we finally do get to fight against other teams, you're not gonna have enough kairu to react immediately, which is bad- I mean, the attacks you have are kinda expensive!"
Marina looked down. "Yeah, I kinda realized that. I'm most likely gonna get hit sooner."
Gia looked concerned at Marina, but then toughened her look. "You can just dodge, you know!"
Apex looked at Gia. "I'm afraid it's not always that easy." Balistar nodded at Apex.
Gia looked down, crossing her arms and closing her eyes. She frowned. "Whatever! Let's just go to sleep. We have a long day ahead of us tommorow."
Apex, Balistar, and Marina followed Gia to their tents. "Why is it so quiet? Master Connor and Master B didn't even come to see us spar!" Marina thought.
Gia, Apex, and Balistar got into their tents, but Marina stopped in front of Gia's. "I think I'm gonna stay up a bit late."
"Fine, do whatever. You're 13 years old." Gia answered from inside.
Now that he had gotten permission from her "leader", she walked toward Boaddai's room. "Better pick up the pace," she thought, and started to jog.
She reached the room and climbed on to the windowsill, looking inside. The curtains were drawn back, so Marina looked inside.
She REGRETTED that decision.
Marina gasped as she saw Master Boaddai and Master Connor pushed against the wall, trapped in a Paralysis Spray attack. Their faces were frozen with horror as a boy looked at them, grinning maliciously. He had purple hair and a white and red jumpsuit, with red shoes. There was a black aura around him that made him look creepy.
"Now to find that girl they told me about..." The boy looked back at the window, only to see nothing. Outside, Marina gave a 'phew' and pinned herself against the wall, trying to not fall off.
She breathed heavily, expecting a surprise any moment now. But the boy inside was walking around the room, so she checked at the window. He wasn't watching, so she looked as he walked. She got a better view of him and noticed he had grey skin.
"The Radikors have a member called Techris. He is the grey alien, as shown here." Balistar had said, pointing to a picture of him.
"It's definitely Techris." Marina thought. As she looked, Techris disappeared out of nowhere. Marina's eyes widened.
She looked back as Techris stared right back at her, sitting on the windowsill like her. "So it's you." He said.
There was silence for a moment as they didn't do anything but breathe. Techris grinned.
"Don't worry, I'm not evil or anything." Techris stopped grinning and held out his hand to her.
"But the manual says he is. I'm not going to be so gullible!" Marina thought. She tried to get off the windowsill so she could make a run for it, but she soon saw that the windowsill was covered in the black aura he had. Worse, she couldn't stand up!
Marina struggled to no use. Techris teleported again in front of her, floating on the ground. "Lokar needs you! You have that monster, Wyndron!" He said.
Marina closed her eyes. "Inner Kairu, please help me..." She patiently waited as she felt her Inner Kairu surface. She opened her eyes again.
She let go of the kairu from her hands as it covered the windowsill. The aura shrunk, and Marina was able to get out. She landed from a high jump, and ran as fast as she could. "HEY! GET BACK HERE!" Techris shouted.
She looked back and saw Techris wasn't there, so she stopped running.
"Big mistake. It's game over." She looked in front of her, only to collapse. She felt dizzy... and everything started to black out... her conciousness faded.
"Ky, Maya's gonna be ok!" Boomer said, looking at Ky. Ky was rushing inside to the X-Scaper, carrying Maya in his arms.
"There's no time to waste! SHE IS BLEDDING!" Ky shouted.
"She isn't anymore! Look!" Boomer pointed to her side, and Ky looked at it. Maya wasn't bleeding anymore, and was slowly waking up. The bruise was still there, however.
Maya regained consciousness, her eyes fixed on Ky. "Ky..."
Ky looked at her, a look of worry in his eyes. "MAYA! Are you ok?" He asked.
Maya wrapped his arms around his neck and got closer to him. She used all the strength that she had in her weak condition to lift her head up. She closed her eyes.
"Maya?" Ky asked, confused at what she was doing. Maya painfully grabbed his head and neared Ky closer. Their lips brushed, and...
You know what happens from there.
However, the kissing couple wasn't so focused on Boomer and how he felt. Boomer gasped, both in shock and feeling slightly embarrased.
"Guys, I don't want to see you two smooching here..." Boomer confessed, looking at Ky and Maya. Their kissing wasn't visible to Boomer at least, since they were so close.
Ky stopped, his lips lingering on Maya's before he broke off. "Sorry Boom." Ky said, looking at Boomer.
Boomer slightly grinned. "So, now that I know Maya doesn't have the hots for King Smoochieboots anymore, care to explain?"
Maya looked at Boomer. "Actually, I was just curious about how Ky's lips tasted."
Ky and Boomer looked at Maya in shock. "WHAT?!"
Maya leaped off of Ky, and started to walk off to the X-Scaper. "Healing Blast, please?" Maya said, looking straight ahead.
Boomer smiled. "Sure. Healing BLAST!" The attack shot towards Maya, curing up her bruise on her side.
Ky looked at Boomer. "Shocker." He said, before the two followed Maya to the X-Scaper.
(Quick A/N: YES, I SHIP KY AND MAYA NOW. THANK YOU KILLAVALS. BUT KY AND ZAIR ARE STILL GONNA GET TOGETHER!)
Marina woke up, her vision still blurry. She could make out Techris looking at her, however. As her vision cleared up, she noticed she was in a metal room, and that she was pinned to the wall by munted handcuffs. Her vision was fully clear now: and she heard some type of warp sound.
A green alien came in as the wall melted, revealing itself to be Zane, since Marina had read the manual along with Balistar.
"Time to bring in Lokar..." Zane said. He laughed maniacally. "SHE is the one with the monster?" Zane asked.
Techris nodded. "She isn't as weak as she looks, though. She used her inner kairu to escape from me when I tried to pin her down with my aura."
Zane looked at Marina with a look that could make anyone shiver. Marina's eyes widened.
Zane closed his eyes. "Lokar... come here! The monster is with her!"
Zane's call made Lokar respond by turning into his holographic form. He looked around the room and spotted Marina.
Lokar smirked. "You won't be needing this!" He pointed at her X-Reader, and Zane took it off from her belt.
"The deal is simple. We need this monster for our plans. Once it's done... we will let you go." Lokar said.
Marina quaked with fear. "I can't believe it. The big-bad villain is in front of me, looking at me... but refuse to let him have your monster!"
"NO! You're not using it for your evil plans, Lokar." Marina said.
Lokar smirked. "...really?" Marina nodded.
"I'm still taking it!" Lokar said. "Now, one of you! Get the monster from her X-Drive and infuse it with the Shadow Kairu!" Zane bowed. "I will do this, master." He got out of the room from the hole he had melted using his aura.
"Very well, then. Techris, guard the prisoner." Lokar instructed.
"Yes master." Techris bowed.
Lokar disappeared. Techris looked at Marina, leaning against the wall.
"I told you to trust me." He said.
Marina frowned. She looked at the handcuffs on her hands that were above her and struggled to break loose, but it was no use.
"Too tight?" Techris asked.
Marina looked at him. "No."
"I think they are." Techris stood up and walked towards the handcuffs. He grabbed a key from his belt and put the key on a lock above the cuffs, unlocking them.
Marina got up and ran towards the hole in the wall, but Techris grabbed her arm before she could even get there. "I don't want you to escape."
Marina looked back at him, glaring. "Then why did you even-"
"Because you were feeling uncomfortable, that's all." Techris said. He looked towards the hole and used his aura to seal it up. He looked back at Marina. "So, who are you, anyway?"
Marina remained silent for a few seconds. "Marina."
"Age? And who's training you, pipsqueak?"
"13. Master Connor."
"Wait, what? Ky's dad is training her?" Techris was confused, but he only replied:"Guess you're not a pipsqueak after all."
"Of course I'm not, I'm just somewhat short." Marina replied.
"Cute." Techris ruffled her brown hair. Marina rolled her eyes.
"Well... I guess this is isn't so bad after all." Marina thought.
Night passed, and back in the monastery, everyone was looking for Marina. Master Boaddai and Master Connor's spell had worn off, so they were looking too.
"Marina!" Gia shouted for the 14th time.
Apex sighed. "It's no use."
Balistar looked at Apex and suddenly had an idea! "GUYS!" Balistar shouted. "COME HERE!"
Everyone circled around Balistar as he explained his plan.
