Chapter 24

It was mid-day when the plane landed on Cassadine Islands. Everybody got off the plane and grabbed their belongings. They all were on edge because of the long flight and they didn't know what exactly to expect once they arrived to their destination.

Once they arrived at the mansion, Anna was the first one to speak. "Whatever happens we need to stay calm. One impulsive move can be a deadly mistake." She silently questioned if everyone understood her orders.

They went in to an eerily quiet house. Nikolas and Jax started to look around trying to find any signs of Jerry. The others waited in the living room.

Robin said, "It's too quiet. He's expecting us. He's expecting me."

Nikolas and Jax came back into the living room. "There's no sign of anybody on the ground level. We'll check upstairs."

"Be careful," Anna said.

"I'm going with you," Robin stated only to see mixed reactions. She sighed. "What else am I supposed to do then?"

"Stay with me," Anna ordered. "I can handle Jerry and the others just fine."

"So can I mom," Robin refuted and started to make her way up the staircase. She turned to Patrick. "Are you coming with me?" she asked knowing she could protect her husband better.

"Of course I am," he said. Robin nodded her head and turned to head up the stairs. Jax and Nikolas followed leaving Anna and Britt alone.

"What are we supposed to do?" Britt questioned.

Anna thought for a moment. "Search the grounds outside."

Ten minutes passed and the men could see the agitation growing in Robin. Her steps were becoming quicker and they could all swear they heard her muttering some curses.

"Robin, we'll find them," Patrick encouraged. Robin acknowledge that he said something with a look and kept going. She walked to the end of the hall and she thought she heard voices coming from the other side.

She pointed to the other side and pulled out her gun she had hidden. She opened the door before going inside. She didn't see anything and figured her mind was playing tricks on her.

"There's nothing here," she informed as the men entered the room. "I thought I heard something." She put her gun away. "What if we split up? We can cover more ground."

"No," Patrick said. "I'm not comfortable with it."

"Neither am I," Jax said. "Jerry is roaming these grounds."

"I still think we should," Robin reiterated. In her mind Jerry wouldn't hurt her…at least not yet. However, she also knew they wouldn't let her go off by herself without protesting more. She had to relent to their demands for the time being.

"Alright. Fine, we won't split up." The four walked out of the room.

On the inside of the room, Jerry slipped out of a secret passageway. A grin formed on his face. He was going to have so much fun.
