It's been a while. I lost so much inspiration with The River, but Kurt and Jahel remain one of my otps. (I am including a few ships in this chapter...)

I don't The River, Thomas Kretschmann or Paulina Gaitan.

This chapter is in Jahel's point of view...

All I could do was watch. My father had Kurt at gunpoint, Lincoln had him in a headlock. Kurt had his eyes set on my father, trying to explain that I had consented to the sex, and how he would never want to hurt me. I tried to explain but my father would not hear what I had to say. This man had planned to kill Emmett, and only just got away with a warning. And now, he took the virginity of the youngest member on board, and even if it was with much consent, it was still a crime on board the Magus. I remember my Mother telling me about when her father found out she was marrying my father. My situation completely matched with hers. I smiled faintly when I suddenly heard her voice in my head. "If you love somebody, and you face a roadblock, fight for him. If you love him that much that you couldn't see yourself living without him, be strong and love him. That love will guide you from the darkness."

I turned to my father and said to him, "Papa, remember when you and Mama told Abuelo you were going to marry, and he got his rifle and told you to leave or else he'll shoot? Remember how you and Mama fought to stay together? Why did you fight?"

"Well," he paused. His fingers seemed to be frozen on the trigger, my goal was to thaw it. "Because, We love each other."

"Look at me and Kurt. We are fighting. He didn't bribe me to have sex with him. We actually didn't even plan to do it, we kissed and we discovered how much we love each other. He may be older than me, but I don't care." I looked at the German, who smiled at me, even though he couldn't understand any of my Spanish. "Me encanta..."

"Ich liebe dich, meine suße." He said, and in the back I heard the familiar groan of AJ.

"This is so fucking soppy, Emilio, end this, either kill him or let them be. "

A gunshot hot rang through the boat and I felt my knees shake to the ground.
