Chapter 5: Makoto Kino
A 16-year-old girl appears in a flash of light.
"What...? How did I get here?"
"Welcome to the planet Emote's Core Room. I am Faira, the Digital Goddess."
"Okay... Faira. What do you want?"
"It's the Core. It has problems, but they are almost solved. Only the Power of Song can help it.
"The Power of Song?"
"Will you sing it a song, please?"
"WHAT!?"
"I know. It sounds odd, but a strange sadness has come over it and it doesn't produce Content like it used to."
"I don't understand. Content?"
"But the sadness is almost gone. One more song and everything will be fixed. Please!"
"Uh, well, I... I don't sing."
"That's impossible. My powers, I have... I've clearly asked to bring in people who can sing."
"I meant that I sing but not professionally."
"That's okay. Sing it something, anything."
The teenager sighs. After telling Faira that her name is Makoto or Mako to her friends, she approaches the Core. Mako sings We Believe You.
Arashi no naka o kakenukete
The Core reacts to the song. It glows and Faira has tears in her eyes. The strange sadness is gone.
"Oh, thank you, thank you Makoto! The Core is back to normal!"
"I'm glad to hear it."
"Planet Emote is out of danger. I'll take you back to your world."
"Okay, Faira, but—"
Mako disappears in a flash of light.
"I'm glad to see you again like before, Core! Come on. You've got some Content to produce." Said Faira with a smile.
