Beginning of Change
Trying to make up for 8 months of absence. Haha yeah….
Chapter 6: Training
It had been about four days since the preliminaries, and we find our local blonde hero walking along a riverside with an older man with white hair, and a giant scroll on his back. The man stood at what was about 6'2. Naruto was talking animatedly to the old man, while he used wild hand gestures to explain whatever stories he was telling. The old man at least looked like he was paying attention, but in reality he could barely understand what the blonde brat was saying, and really he was getting a little annoyed.
"And then I was like 'Ha i wanna see you beat me do-", "Ok, Ok calm down, and restart from the beginning and go slower this time." The old man interrupted while waving his hands
Naruto sighed and began to retell his story.

Flashback
Naruto grinned and flipped Kiba the bird. " Ha I wanna see you beat me dog breath"
Kiba Growled and got into a stance "We'll see about that loser"
"Alright already lets just get this fight underway, Geez" The proctor interrupted with an irritated tic mark on his forehead, "Alright let the fight between Uzumaki Naruto and Inuzuka Kiba Begin"
With that both Naruto and Kiba charged at each other. As soon as Naruto and Kiba got close enough to each other Naruto ducked under a swipe Kiba attempted to hit him with, and nailed Kiba right in the chin with a right uppercut, and followed up with a leg sweep that knocked Kiba's feet out from under him. Kiba for his part did a perfect roll after hitting the ground with his back and getting up on his feet. He got up and signaled to Akamaru.
Akamaru stood next to him before being enveloped in the smoke cleared a perfect copy of Kiba stood in Akamaru's place. Both Kibas smirked before the 'real' Kiba spoke.
"Hehe I wanna see you fight to opponents at the same time dead-last." Naruto narrowed his eyes, but said nothing. Both Kibas charged him Naruto sidestepped a right hook, then ducked under a high kick and weaved his way around multiple slashes. Even though Naruto was doing a good job of evading his opponents he knew he couldn't do it forever, if one of those slashes landed they would most likely hurt, but the way kiba was fighting was smart and efficient. Kiba's strategy was to allow Akamaru to attack while he stayed slightly back, then alternate, and he attacks while Akamaru would stay back. This was efficient because if naruto was to attempt to counter attack The 'Kiba' in the back could easily retaliate, and land a hit on him. So Naruto resolved to do things the old fashioned way, to tackle the problem head on.
Blocking a vicious right hook sent by a 'Kiba' Naruto then proceeded to headbutt the crap outta the attacker. The attacker gave a startled yelp and stumbled a little dazed, The other 'kiba 'then proceeded to slash at naruto. Naruto still going ahead with his "strategy" allowed the the slash. He winced, as claw met flesh and tore into his outfit, he didn't stop though and performed a perfect backwards heel kick with extreme prejudice. Naruto's sandaled heel met Kiba's nose with a sickening crunch and kiba flew a couple feet back. He yelled out in pain, because his nose was one of the more sensitive parts of his body, he slowly stood while holding his broken nose. He heard a loud laughing and directed his gaze to where naruto was.
Naruto stood there, with a huge tear in the front of his shirt where kiba had slashed at, oddly enough the cut had already stopped bleeding, and seemed smaller than the tear, cracking up and practically peeing himself from his amusement.
"What's so funny, Dumbass!" Kiba yelled
Naruto slowly stopped laughing, "Your nose looks like a squashed tomato" he said before he broke out into laughs again. Kiba glared at him before looking at Akamaru.
He exchanged looks with akamaru and both came to an invisible agreement. Both Akamaru and Kiba Charged at Naruto, akamaru in his Kiba look-alike form. Once they were close enough they started spinning rapidly towards Naruto, while the real Kiba yelled out "Gatsuuga".
Naruto's eyes widened slightly, but quickly regained focus, concentrating he quickly gathered chakra into his mouth, while performing hand seals. He mentally shouted his jutsu while releasing the chakra.
'Fire style: Great fireball jutsu',
Naruto then released a huge fireball that grew more and more as naruto continued to pump chakra into it. The Fireball made Kiba and Akamaru swerve off course and crash into the opposite walls of the Arena. Naruto acted quickly and jumped between them and summoned about twenty shadow clones, effectively separating Kiba and Akamaru.
The small crowd on the platform was quiet many of the genin were surprised and shocked to see that not only had naruto improved he had managed to dominate kiba, who was considered a genin of average strength, so far.
Kiba stood up and looked at the wall of narutos separating him from Akamara,he growled and charged at them again. Suffice to say that kiba managed to destroy three or four clones before he got pummeled into the took a shaky breath and tried to stand ,but quickly felt the effect of gravity and fell to his knees once more. Movement in front of him capture his attention as he looked up, only to witness a single naruto,most likely the real one, holding Akamaru by the scruff of his neck, and pointing a kunai at his throat.
"Give?"
Kiba panicked and tried to look for a solution to this mess he was in, but couldn't find one so he did the only thing he could think of.
"I give" He sighed. Naruto dropped Akamaru and the little pup scurried towards his master, Naruto then gave Kiba a thumbs up "Great match Kiba, you definitely are stronger than before."
Kiba snorted, and mumbled something about losing to the dead last.
"Congratulations Naruto!" Naruto turned around quickly spotting a blob of pink in front of him before focusing in on Sakura. He gave Sakura a grin and gave out a thanks not noticing her cheeks turn a light shade of pink.

Naruto finished his story with a grin and looked over at the old man. The old man had fallen asleep on a log a couple of feet away. Naruto looked annoyed before throwing a rock at the old man's head. He watched as the rock impacted the man's head and the man fall off the log while flailing his arms.
"Hey Brat, who do you think you are hitting the great jiraiya in the head with some pebble." He ranted as he stood up.
Naruto snorted "If you were so great you wouldn't have let that rock hit you."
"I am to awesome to waste my energy dodging a rock, I could use it for something else let's say ending world hunger!" he exclaimed as he struck a pose.
Naruto sighed, 'Can't I get one normal sensei.'
"Hey anyways, listen Ero-sennin-" "Don't call me that!" "- I finally got the first step to that jutsu you were showing me." Naruto exclaimed while looking excited.
"Really, well that was quick," Jiraiya muttered "say what did you do anyways while you were with Kakashi anyway?"
Naruto sat down cross legged "Well we practiced a lot of taijutsu, and improved my chakra control, and he taught me some elemental jutsus."
Jiraiya sat down on a nearby boulder, "What kind of elemental jutsus did he show you?"
"Umm he showed me some fire jutsu, and wind jutsu." naruto said, while tapping his chin, "Ohh he also showed me how to control the wind enough to add extra force to my punches,and kicks, and to make me faster." Naruto said while snapping his fingers
"Hmmm so you got a wind and a fire affinity" Jiraiya asked, to which naruto excitedly nodded
"Hmm well thats interesting," Jiraiya mumbled, before snapping his fingers, "I've got it, let me show you a new jutsu, before continuing with your training, so get ready, I am going to teach you how to summon!"
Naruto looked confused "Wait, What summoning have to do with me having a wind and a fire affinity?"
"Easy, those to affinities are perfect to do collaboration techniques with my toads." Jiraiya said while unrolling his scroll. "Now sign right here in blood, Naruto."
Naruto examined the scroll and saw a list of names the most recent being his father the yondaime. "Hey Ero-sennin, my father could summon Toads?" Naruto asked
"Yep, he is the only summoner that Gamabunta,the boss toad ever got along with, and respected." Jiraiya said while looking a little discontent, "He also summoned Gamabunta in order to fight the kyubi when it attacked."
"Wow that's awesome!" Naruto said while jumping up "I am definitely gonna need this to fight Garra, Alright then lets do this."

With Sakura
Sakura was trudging along the path to her house deep in thought. Tomorrow was the day of the finals, she was thinking about Naruto and this strange feeling she kept building up inside her every time she talked to him, saw him, or hell even thought about him. Everything that had to even remotely do with naruto would remind her of him and get her to feel warm on the inside. The worst thing was that the more she thought about the blonde goof the more she wanted to be close to him, talk to him, touc- no she couldn't think that way after all she was in love with sasuke not naruto. She sighed, well she had to face facts, naruto definitely was attractive at least. He was also strong, funny, determined, handsome, charismatic, cute, brave. Ok so maybe she did have a small crush on him,... Ok a big crush, she had to face it she was most definitely attracted to him, and probably more, but she had to take it slow after all she still had feelings for sasuke.
'Pssh forget Sasuke, Naruto is cuter and funner to hang out with!' her inner self said
Before she could mentally reply Sakura bumped into somebody. The person she bumped into squeaked and fell on the ground. Sakura looked at the person and instantly felt guilty. On the ground was shy little hinata, who happened to fall on her butt. Next to her stood Ino. As sakura quickly bent down to help hinata up, Ino made her presence known, with a smirk.
"Geez billboard brow, you did not have to use that brute strength of yours to push Hinata over like that." Ino said, while also helping Hinata up
"Shut-up pig I was lost in thought!" Sakura growled
"Ohh I don't blame you, with the size of that forehead you could be in there with a compass, and a map, and still get lost." Ino chuckled
Sakura narrowed her eyes, " Same goes for your gut piggy."
Ino and sakura both glared at each other forgetting about Hinata. "U-um-mm there is no meed for fighting guys" Hinata said while twiddling her seemed to get both girls attention as they stopped glaring at each other.
"Hinata's right pig." Sakura said with a huff, "Anyways what were you two up too"
"Hinata and I were just discussing her not so secret crush on the blonde baka," Ino said nonchalantly, causing Hinata to blush a bright hearing this started feeling queasy in the stomach, and an unexpected flash of anger passed through her mind, before she discarded it.
"Really well that's g-great" She said quickly in order to not arouse suspicion, "Umm I've g-gotta go, see you guys later" she said in order to make an escape
"Geez what's up with her, leaving so quickly," Ino huffed "c'mon Hinata let's go"
Hinata followed while looking over her shoulder worriedly
Sakura hurriedly along quickly trying to put distance between herself, and Ino and Hinata. She might have just discovered her feelings for naruto, but she wasn't ready, nor wanted to announce them yet, or even give a small indication that she might. She doesn't know why she got jealous, but she knew that if she had stayed any longer conversing with them about that subject then Ino would've undoubtedly picked up on the small bits of evidence she would, no doubt, have left behind.
Once she was in the safe haven of her home she quickly greeted her mom and ran upstairs and locked herself in her room. She threw herself on her bed, and once again lost herself in her thoughts. Her thoughts once again strayed over to the subject of her blonde haired knuckle-headed thought about the last time she had seen him which was right after his match, and about how it felt to receive that special smile that he reserved just for her. Her thoughts then turned a little darker thinking about who he was going to have to fight in the final round of the chunin exam, and what could happen to him. She did not like that thought one bit, and the last thing she remembered before she drifted off to sleep was.

Unknown location
Ino was looking around, seemingly looking for someone. When suddenly she whipped around and threw a kunai straight at a bush to her left.
"GAGHHH" Sasuke stumbled out from the bush with a small tear in his shirt where the kunai grazed him. "Hnnn did you have to attack me." He said as he regained his 'cool' and crossed his arms
"Ha thats what you get for stalking me for an hour." Ino sneered, before giggling, "You really don't think that I wouldn't have memorized my boyfriend's chakra signature."
"If you ask me thats a little creepy." Sasuke said as he wrapped Ino in a hug
"I'm creepy haha you hypocrite" She said "but anyways there is a reason I wanted to talk to you noticed Sakura acting funny?"
"Haha yeah isn't it obvious" Sasuke chuckled
"No" Ino replied while crossing her arm, and turning to face sasuke
"Sakura likes naruto" Sasuke said tapping Ino on the nose for each word
Ino gasped, her eyes widening, "Really?" She exclaimed before a smirk settled over her features, "Well then looks like I get you all to myself."
Sasuke chuckled, "You always have"
