A/N; So a long time ago, as a mock parody, I wrote an ending of Harry Potter in battle with Voldemort a la Sailor Moon. It has since been removed and lost from the world wide web, so I thought I'd re-write it and add more to it. So please don't take this too seriously.
I will say chapter one is a bit gory (not explicitly, but still) with character and NPC deaths, so please use discretion. If you start at Chapter 2, it won't change much. It is on par with reading Harry Potter.
I also apologize that the initial upload was a mess of stuff. Have edited that now... I hope.
I don't own the rights to Harry Potter, as they belong to JKR and Warner Brothers. I don't own the rights to Sailor Moon, as they belong to Toei Animations and/or Viz Media (sources were a bit mixed). I'm just mixing both fandoms to make this short story.
Doom and Gloom
Harry awoke, his mind racing back. He knew Voldemort had hit him with the killing curse. Yet he seemed to have simply rested and come back fully refreshed.
"See here my followers, how Harry Potter lies dead before me. Now, let us finish this war." Voldemort addressed the Death Eaters who were present.
"Milord," came Bellatrix's voice. "People are approaching."
"Potter's friends. Who wants to stay and deal with them?' There were no voices, so there was a show of hands. "Go then and finish them off." Feet scurried away, and then there was silence. Harry dared to peep out of his squinted eyes. Everyone was gone. He got to his feet. Just as he had picked up his wand and started heading back, three figures came out of the forest; Hermione, Ron and Luna. Harry was relieved.
"How the hell are you still alive?" Ron asked.
"The death stone apparently prevents death," Harry held up the stone with the symbol of the Elder Sign upon it. It had once glowed a pale green, but now it had faded. "But I think it is only once per person."
"We need to get out of here," Hermione urged. "We need to get back to Hogwarts."
"No, they know you're here. They sent others out to find you." Harry explained. "I don't know how many."
"I do" came a voice. Everyone turned to see Draco coming towards them.
"You!" Harry snapped.
"Calm yourself Potter. I'm here to help."
"You… what?' harry sounded perplexed.
"I'm sick of this. Power is one thing, but this is too much and too dark. I can't be one of them. I want to help."
"This must be a trick," Ron eyed Draco suspiciously.
Draco extended his right arm almost as if to offer to arm-wrestle Ron, but then stood in front of Harry. "An unbreakable vow then," He offered. Harry looked at Draco properly this time. He hadn't seen Draco vulnerable too often, outside of the events last year, but he had that look in his eyes.
"No Draco, if you are sincere, you will prove it when the time is right."
Draco lowered his arm. "They have headed for the entry to the forest near Hagrid's hut. That's all I know," he started to lead everyone in a different direction. Harry followed, but the rest were unsure.
"I know it seems odd," Harry told them, "But he is telling the truth."
Ron, Luna, and Hermione swapped looks before following Draco. They made their way through the Forbidden Forest, slowly watching the light of the castle and the fires around it from the fighting grew brighter. Then there was a flash of movement. Then another. And another. Each movement was coming from different directions.
"They found us," Luna observed.
"Indeed, we have," came Bellatrix's voice. "You nosy little kids looking for… HARRY!" Bellatrix took form from her smoky apparition form. "You're dead."
"Hasn't stopped me moving around," Harry pointed out.
"Let me fix that for you." She raised her wand, but Draco stood between them. "Move Draco, this is important to our Lord. He must know." Draco replied by firing a spell at her, but she saw it and defended herself. "So, we want to play, do we?" She fired red sparks into the air, and out of the shadows of the trees came four other figures. Harry didn't recognise them all, but he could see the evil in their eyes. Then the five disappeared into their black smoke forms.
"Run," Draco yelled. As the shadows swooped in, everyone dashed in different directions. Draco held his ground and cast a spell into the smoke. Someone was blasted backwards into a tree and fell limp. He couldn't tell who it was, but they looked dead. He cast the spell a few more times, but they missed and hit trees. Draco then felt himself suddenly wrapped up in bindings. He had raised his arm in time that his wand arm wasn't bound to his side, but it had been restrained somewhat.
"What to do with traitors?" Bellatrix asked. Draco couldn't see her, but he saw another figure approaching him.
"Regret what your allies taught him," Draco muttered. He pointed his wand at the next person who came into sight. He didn't know her name, but it was a werewolf. With a final yell, a silver light shot out of his wand and into the woman, killing her almost on the spot.
"Good-bye Draco" Bellatrix called. Three wands, all pointed at him, cast Crucio, Sectum Sempra and Reducto.
Harry and his friends heard Draco scream in pain, a sound that was horrible yet brief. He had caught up with Hermione, but Ron and Luna were nowhere to be found.
Ron stopped running. He heard the scream as well and was looking around. He knew he was not quite headed back to the castle, but the exit had to be close.
"Jai Weasley." Ron suddenly found himself bound, unable to move. He fell to his knees, looking around. He couldn't raise his wand.
"Where are your friends, Weasley?" Bellatrix asked, stepping toward him and grabbing his chin to turn his head towards her.
"Ran away," Ron answered bravely.
"Then I guess there's no…" Bellatrix started, but was interrupted as Ron, not knowing what else to do, headbutted her. Bellatrix wheeled back, her nose bleeding. Ron struggled to his feet and tried to run. He was bound down to his knees, so he couldn't run quickly. Suddenly his path was blocked by a woman with dark blonde hair. He looked up to her, and she smiled, showing her vampiric fangs. Ron tried to move away, but she bit down, her teeth sinking deeply.
Harry heard Ron yelling, and it seemed close. He and Hermione changed directions and ran towards where they found Ron lying on the ground, barely alive and his neck missing a chunk.
"NO!" Screamed Hermione. Luna ran out of the trees, clearly drawn by Ron's yell.
"Where are they?" Harry growled.
"Not far," called a voice. "Jai girl," Luna still running, was tied up suddenly, her wand arm still free as it was extended when she was bound. The vampiress, still red with blood, swooped down on her. Luna looked at her bravely and pointed her wand.
"LUMOS SOLEM MAXIMA" she roared. The vampiress took a beam of sunlight to the face, and she screamed as she turned to dust.
"Avada Kadavera" called Bellatrix. The shot hit Luna before she could do anything. Hermione screamed; Harry glared.
"Coming to get me?" she taunted. Harry went to charge her, but Hermione pulled him back.
"No Harry. It's a trick. I'll deal with her. I owe her one."
"Hermione, no," Harry tried, but she quickly hugged him and stood, she charged at Bellatrix and started shooting spells at her. Bellatrix defended herself, but the smile never dropped. Harry looked around. Then he saw it. From above Hermione, someone was getting ready to drop on her and attack.
"Reducto" Harry yelled. The spell hit the being right as they jumped down to ambush Hermione. Instead of a surprise attack on her, all that happened was a body falling instead. Harry cast Arresto Momentum and the body floated in mid-air.
"Harry, move," Hermione called. Harry started to run towards the edge of the forest. He kept running, putting every effort to get to the castle. Just as he reached the bridge, there was a puff of black smoke, and there stood Bellatrix, holding Hermione's limp body by the front of the shirt.
"Is this the best you got?" she taunted. "I had fun with her." She shook Hermione's body. "But now it is time to take you to Lord Voldemort." She dropped Hermione, but then something happened she wasn't expecting. As she fell, Hermione grabbed her arm and pulled her down. Bellatrix found herself almost impaled through the neck on Hermione's wand.
"I'm not done yet," she whispered to her. Bellatrix's eyes grew wide as she saw Hermione's devious smile. "Bombarda!" Hermione yelled. There was a blast and smoke billowed everywhere. When it cleared, there was no sign of either of them.
Harry collapsed to his knees crying. He had watched or heard his friends and allies get slaughtered. And while the main allies of Voldemort had been taken out, it was still a high price to pay.
"I'll make it up to you," Harry promised quietly as he looked a the ruinous state Hogwarts had become. "Even if it takes my life, I will make it right."
